Transferrring from AKL to BCV- Help!!

We have a reservation for our first night at Animal Kingdom Lodge, then will be moving to a 1BR at BCV for 5 nights (on rented points). I think I read somewhere that the resorts will "move" you at no charge. Does anyone know details? I'd like to know about tipping and dependability (I would hate for our luggage to get lost). We are driving, so could just pack a light bag for the first night. Also, when checking in at the BCV, how many people are helping with luggage that I should I expect to tip? I'm not normally cheap, but don't like to pay 5 people for walking 10 steps with my luggage, something I can do myself. Thanks for any help!

Call bell services and when they come to pick up your luggage tell them you are transferring to BCV. Tip as you normally would. The luggage will usually arrive at destination bell services in the afternoon. That afternoon after you check in call bell services and tell them you transferred from AKL and had luggage transferred. They will deliver it to your room and tip again as you normally would.

We tip $1 per bag ($2 if particularly large or heavy). They take your luggage from your room to bell services and make sure it gets transferred. We tip the same at the other end since they receive it, store it, and then deliver it to your room.

We have done it and it is a great service.
