We hope to book another trip while we are onboard to take advantage of the stateroom credit that they give you. I have read that you can then transfer your reservation to a travel agent... How does this work? What are the benefits?
Can you get a lower price but keep the same room that you had booked and the credit?
Thanks:D

We rebooked onboard and the DCL rep tied it back to our AAA TA. She had all the information form the current cruise and just transfered it to the new reservation.

Both cruises I booked myself and then transferred to a AAA Travel Agent. I was actually able to get a better rate - looking at a ton of different options - myself. With AAA they have some specials like on-board credits per stateroom. With AAA you just call them up & say you want to transfer your reserv. to them.

FYI: When I called Univ. Studios though, AAA was able to get a much better rate.

I rebooked onboard. Then, when I got home called around to a lot of the agencies mentioned on these boards. I transferred the reservation to the agent who offered the lowest pricce. Everything stayed the same...room, date, etc. I just ended up with a smaller final balance!
