Honestly, I feel like the hits keep coming re: bad PR and they're not doing enough to get ahead of any of it. Getting 1 of 4 parks a tram and the rest sometime next year - helps slightly. But the news also came out that no one can make new plans to go to Disneyland in 2021. Just from a headline/LSSC standpoint, that's not a great PR story (even as I realize that it's a reality). I think new info re: the omicron variant will take up column inches that could've gone towards "how out of touch is Disneyland that people can't get in for the rest of the year" stories (but maybe I'm wrong and those wouldn't have mattered/happened).Yeah, was totally joking - but you don't think leaders ever make decrees for stuff like this? Especially in the face of bad PR? When it becomes a joke on the Stephen Colbert late night show, you know it has gained more traction than just in the Disney fan circle. I could see someone (not necessarily Susan - but potentially Josh or Chapek) saying that they're getting bad PR on this and to figure out a way to get the trams running again.
I work for a large company, and we have decrees come down from leadership - sometimes as a result of bad PR, decisions which normally would be made by much lower level people, but in this case the CEO or Cxx made the decision and handed it down.
This was in the works for awhile though before the announcement came out.
I'm guessing no official date(s) yet? So glad their back though. A mile at the start of the day is doable but after a full day of trekking all over the parks? It's rough
Probably a reaction to Jackie Gailey’s comments on NBC’s Today show. Talk about bad PR! Way to go Jackie! Here come the trams!
I may be in the minority, but I rather like not having trams in the parking lots - they are SO noisy! I have never understood why WDW does not have electric-powered trams.
