Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

You walked six miles at the mall and didn't buy anything!!!
Call the Guiness Book of World Records!!! That's amazing!!!
Good job!!
How did the awards go! I bet DD was excited!!
Hope the car is fixable today...prayers & pixie dust for ya!!pixiedust: pixiedust:

Hey Tracy!! Sorry I have been MIA this week! I have been really busy. Sounds like you have had a busy week! I hope the stomach is all better. I love your weekly goals. I think that is a GREAT idea. Sometimes short term goals are easier to fulfull than long term. (A month is long term for me!)

That is so awesome that your DD won Defensive player of the year...was she super excited???

I was reading your dining plans for your december trip and I was getting so excited, since I will be there at the same time. My mom is in charge of all our dining plan since the whole family is going, so I am not sure of all our choices. I guess I will have to be surprised!

Hope you have a GREAT week!!

Thanks everyone!:grouphug:

My DDs had a blast at the awards ceremonies! :banana: They got their awards, they got to hang out with their friends, and they got lots of sugary snacks.:cloud9: Can you imagine how wound up they were the rest of the day?:eek: :lmao:

My DH and I are stressed to the max. He still can't get my mom's car fixed. He has replaced the water pump and the thermostat and can't figure out why the car is overheating. He has an extremely busy week ahead of him with lots of travel involved so we rented a car for the week. That way, he can get where he needs to go and have some extra time to figure out what is wrong with the car. (It may be the gasket. :eek: )

We have a busy week at home too. I will be doing about 10-20 hours worth of work for my DH this week, homeschooling, cleaning the house, and getting ready for the party on Sunday.:scared1: I'm gonna try and get some more auctions listed (15 so far) and get a few workouts in here and there.

Today's Plan:

* Homeschooling

* Work for DH

* Walk to the store

* Start wrapping some Christmas gifts (Gotta figure out who is left to buy for!:santa: )

* More auctions ?

That's about all from here. Please pray for my DH for safe travel and that he can figure out and fix what is wrong with the car. Thanks!:goodvibes

Have a great day!:grouphug:

wow Tracy you are busy!!!
hope the car gets fixed & its nothing major!
Glad your DD's had a great time at the awards ceremonies :)

Yesterday was such a long, tiring, difficult day. :sad1: The only good thing I can say about it is that I did get more Christmas shopping done. I figure that I am about 75% done. I need to order a few things online and then do a last minute shopping trip for perishable items and that should be it.

I'm not sure exactly what today's plan will look like. I am worn out from yesterday. My DH could use your prayers...He has 5 jobs to do today; 1 of which is out of state. I'm glad he has the rental car. If he had to worry about my mom's car overheating, that would make the stress of the day increase like a hundredfold.

I will post my to do list, but I don't know if I have the energy to get it done:

* Homeschool

* Put laundry away

* Wrap presents

* eBay about 5-6 more items (One item sold with buy it now last night!)

* Rake leaves/ Mow backyard?

We'll see what happens...... Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Hey there! Just checking in. Sorry to hear about the car and how stress you seem. Sounds like you are doing fantastic on your shopping though! WOW! My DH is an e-bayer too. We have lots to put on, but no time to do it!!! Hope your auctions go well for you!

Stacie

Sorry to hear about your car troubles Tracy! hang in there...things have to get better!!! GOOD LUCK with the rest of your ebay sales. Hopefully you do great :).

Car troubles and work troubles persist. :mad: Can I tell you how happy I will be when this week is finally over? My DH' work schedule has gone from super busy to insanely busy. Don't get me wrong...I am grateful for the work, but my husband can not keep up a schedule like this for the sake of his own health. Today, he has 3 installs to get done. Thankfully, they are all within an hour of home. Tomorrow, he has to go all over the state of Ohio and will be in PA for a couple of hours as well. Friday, he is going to Cincinnati. :eek: Did I mention that we are throwing a 60th birthday party for my dad, a 7th birthday party for my DD, and having my brother in from out of town this weekend? Did I also mention that at this rate, my mom's car won't be fixed and that we have to return the rental car on Sunday?:faint: On a scale of 1-10, our stress levels are at a 100!:eek: :sad1: :sad2: :mad: What a week!

Yesterday, I managed to organize my DH's paperwork (3 hours :headache: ), mow the grass, make dinner and dessert, and cut up veggies for snacks. At least I got something done. ;)

Today's Plan:

* Clean the kitchen, living room, and bathroom for the party

* Homeschool

* Laundry

Tonight we take the kids trick or treating. (Hopefully, DH will be home.) DD6 will be a police officer and DD5 will be Minnie Mouse. I will be dressed up as on over-stressed mom. Not much of a stretch is it? ;):lmao:

Okay, taking a deep breath and heading into my day....Have a great Wednesday!:grouphug:

:hug: Tracy,

I am sorry to hear about the car. Hopefully DH can get it fixed. Good luck getting ready for the party. I know you worry when DH is on the road for work. Have fun tonight with the girls. Love your costume,;)
:hug:
Beth

Thanks Beth.:hug:

Good morning friends,

The girls looked so cute last night!:cutie: :cutie: We didn't take any pictures because the digital camera was loaded with my DH's pictures for work. We did videotape them though. They had a great time, the weather was a blessing, and they came home with some awesome candy. :dance (Good thing I don't have much of a sweet tooth! :lmao: )

I am getting to the point of complete exhaustion. :sad1: The past few days have been so stressful for both my DH and myself. I can't wait until the week is over. His boss hinted that he would like my DH to go to Kentucky on Friday. I just looked at my husband and said, "You're kidding right? We have a party to get ready for this weekend." If he goes to Kentucky, he won't get home until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. Saturday and he would be going to fix a job that someone else did incorrectly. So not only is it 6 hours away, but he would be walking into a major problem with someone else's work. I don't think so. I will be very unhappy if he chooses to take this job. He's been gone 16-18 hours a day and traveling out of state. He needs a break. Vent over. ;)

Today's Plan:

* Truthfully, I can't come up with a plan. I am way too tired. Between the stress of work, the car, cleaning for the party, my inability to get a good night's sleep and TOM, I feel like a zombie...... :eek: I think I will relax, read a bit, maybe take a nap, and see if I can find some energy somewhere.

Hope everyone has a great day!:hug:

P.S. 30 days till Disney!!!!:yay: :woohoo: :banana:

Hi Tracy...wow...your WDW trip is right around the corner. Where are you guys staying? Do you have all your PS's made?

Hope you feel better! :goodvibes

:hug: Tracy,

Keep your eye on the prize, the trip. I think a nap sounds wonderful, and the girls are probably ready for one too with all the excitement of Halloween over.

Take care of yourself,
Beth

Hey there! Just checking in! Sorry your life is so stressful right now! At least you will be at WDW soon!!! Take a nap for me too! I need one! :)

Have a good afternoon!
Stacie

Tracy - hope you got your nap in today! Keep your eye on the prize --your WDW trip!!!

Sounds like both you and your dh deserve a nice vacation!

Thank you so much everyone!:grouphug: I did get a brief nap in yesterday, but was woken up with, "Mom, can I have some candy?" :laughing:

I am so thankful that this week is almost over. It has been a humdinger. :( Yesterday, we got a call from my MIL....She was having chest pains and they took her by ambulance to the hospital. She feels much better now, but hasn't seen her doctor yet. We're not sure what happened and hope for some answers today. Any good thoughts/prayers you can send her way would be much appreciated.:grouphug:

Today, my DH will be near Cincinnati for a better part of the day. It's an 8 hour drive round trip + work time. Not sure when he will get home tonight. :confused3

Today:

* Clean the office

* Paint the bedroom doors and trim

Tomorrow:

* Meeting at church 10:00 a.m.

* Grocery Store

* Order pizza

* Pickup dad's cake; make DD's cake for party

* Cut veggies

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Thanks in advance for your prayers for my MIL.:grouphug:

My MIL is home and feeling much better. All of her tests (EKG, blood work, e.t.c) came back good. Thank you for your prayers! :hug:

Yesterday was a bad day. :( DD5 has been acting up lately and been very defiant. I don't know where it's coming from. DD6 had a low grade fever and wasn't feeling well yesterday. All she wanted to do was sleep. My DH was onsite at a service call for 5 hours! He told the company what the problem was at the beginning and they wouldn't listen. My very laidback, mild mannered husband who never gets angry was livid yesterday. He hasn't talked to his boss since yesterday when his cell phone died. I am praying he still has this job. As for me, I painted doors and trim yesterday, cried a lot, ate dinner, and went to bed. What a day! :sad1:

I did manage to get my girls Hannah Montana personalized jackets and party favor boxes from Disney Shopping online yesterday. I had a code for 30% off and free shipping. I used the Disney gift cards I got from the rewards programs that I do and so the final cost of the jackets/party boxes was about $6.00 for me. I am almost done Christmas shopping for them.:santa:

Speaking of Christmas shopping, my auctions end tomorrow....Please send some eBay :wizard: :wizard: my way. I am using the money I make from eBay to buy my DH a Garmin Street Pilot c330 system for Christmas. (Shhh...please don't tell him.:ssst: ;) ) I did sell an item buy it now so I have $25 out of the $170 I need. I have 14 auctions remaining and as of yesterday, only 3 were selling.

Today, we will be getting ready for the party, DH will work, and we will go out to eat with my family. My dad, mom, brother, and daughter were all born in November so we're celebrating all birthdays tonight at dinner. Tomorrow, we party! party:

Have a blessed weekend everyone! :grouphug:

Hi Tracy
