Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Goal Update:

1. eBay: 0/7 My DH will have the camera today so I will have to wait and eBay after he gets home from work. I will try and get 5 auctions listed.

2. Cardio: 2/4 Weights: 0/2

3. Clean the kitchen: not yet, working on 2 bookcases today

4. Salad a day: 0/7

We had a good day yesterday. We went out to eat for dinner with my MIL and she took the girls to her house afterwards so we could shop for DD6's birthday. We came home, put the kids to bed, and watched two episodes of Jon and Kate + 8 on TLC. I don't know how Kate does it all with 8 kids!:scared1:

Today, I'm not feeling all that well. I'm not sure if it was something I ate or what, but my tummy is just not doing well. :sick: I think I will try and take it easy for awhile and see if that helps alleviate some of the blahs....

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Clean 2 bookcases in the kitchen

* eBay

* Brainstorm Christmas ideas

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Hello :)

I like the weekly goal idea! Should help to keep you more focused on the day-to-day :) I hope it works out for you!

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well...resting is always a good remedy :)

Love your ADR choices too! LeCellier is just incredible and Sci-Fi holds a special place with me ;)

Have a good day!

Tracy, hope your tummy is feeling better! I am so bummed about the Indians, I really wanted them to win so our teams could meet! When I was watching, I thought "how cool, Tracy is watching this same thing right now"! My crazy son is saying he will be for the Red Sox! He's always liked them but I just assumed that he would root for his own team over another! Crazy kid :sad2: .

I like your weekly goals, I think its always easier in life to take things a little bit at a time. And its hard to set a monthly goal since life has a way of dealing out surprises! This will be easier I think. I may copycat you and start posting weekling goals too!

Sci Fi is my favorite. In our eight trips to WDW, its the one and only place we have been to each and every time. I think the burgers and shakes are the best. The atmosphere is so cool, its the one and only ADR I kept for next week. I'll be eating there at 12:15 on Halloween, think of me! I've been to all your others too, except for Biergarten. I think you made some great choices. That trip will be here before you know it!

Feel better, hope today turned out to be a good one for you!

Hi Tracy
great idea for weekly goals :)
hope your feeling better!
I've been planning meals for our WDW trip today & we're not going till next August!!!!!
love to plan...can you tell?? ;)

Good morning friends,

Yesterday was not as productive of a day as I had hoped. I only met one of my weekly goals yesterday. I ate a salad.;) In my defense, I wasn't feeling all that well yesterday. My tummy was in an uproar most of the day, but I am feeling much better today.:thumbsup2

I am still struggling with my Christmas shopping list. I would love to try and make homemade gifts this year, but there are some members of both of our families who would not appreciate them. Trying to stay on budget with Christmas shopping is a huge challenge. I'm really trying to get as much done as I can before we go to WDW....We are usually a bit more relaxed about our spending in WDW and the past couple of years, we have come home and been too relaxed about our Christmas spending too. Also, when we come home from WDW this year, I want to spend the few days that we have before Christmas making cookies and candy and checking out the Christmas lights in the neighborhood. I definitely don't want to be running around trying to fight the crowds.....

I'd like to ask for your prayers for the company my DH works for....They are based in California and most everyone has been ordered to work from home due to the fires. We're not sure how the building has fared or how anyone is doing. We're hoping to hear an update today.:grouphug:

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Laundry

* Clean the 2 bookcases in the kitchen

* eBay

* Grocery store

* Workout (probably weights)

Hope everyone has a great water filled Wednesday!

Tracy, I really like your weekly goals - great idea! I'm sorry your tummy has not been well, but glad to hear you are feeling better. I agree with your earlier post about how wonderful it is to take a walk to clear your head too.

I hope your DH's company is ok. The past few days have been surreal here in CA.

HI Tracy
The fires in California have made the news over here, very scary!
I hope your DH's company & work friends are all safe.
glad the tummy bug is getting better & well done for having the salad, i struggle with salads when its so cold here, i crave comfort food!

Thanks Anna! Welcome Back!:woohoo: :banana: :yay:

Thanks Tracey!:hug:

Goal Update:

1. eBay: 1/7 I got 10 auctions listed in Turbo Lister yesterday. All I have to do is add pictures. (DH had camera for work.) Today, I hope to list 5 more auctions and add all the pictures in to the ones I did yesterday

2. Cardio: 2/4 Weights: 1/2 Halfway there!:woohoo:

3. Clean the kitchen: I cleaned the dining room half of the kitchen yesterday, including the 2 bookcases. (In case you're wondering why I have bookcases in my kitchen, it's for homeschooling.)

4. Salad a day: 2/7

Yesterday was a very productive day.:goodvibes I got a lot done and was pretty tired by the end of the day. When I was cleaning, I found more Christmas gifts and crafts that I had put in storage so I actually have more shopping done than I thought!:yay: I really need to make a list of gifts so I know what I have and for whom.

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Walk

* laundry

* Grocery Store/Sam's Club

* Mall

* eBay

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!:hug:

Hey Tracey! Sorry to hear about the stomach bug. Sounds like you're doing much better now! We have so much stuff put on e-bay too!!! With both of us working full-time it's hard to find the time to do it! Matt is the ebayer in our house! ;)

Can't wait to hear how your Dining goes. I've planned my inlaw's trips for them, but I've scheduled their dinners at places I've not tried before. Those being LeCellier, Grand Floridian Cafe, Spoodles, Sci-Fi...I think that's it for the ones I've not tried. They are also going to O'hana. I love that place! We are going to try Grand Floridian Cafe, LeCellier and Sci-Fi in Jan when we go. Let me know how you like Le Cellier and Sci-Fi! I've heard really great things!!!

Sounds like you had a great day yesterday! Keep it up! Maybe some of your productivness will rub off on me! :laughing:

Have a good night!
Stacie

Tracy, great job tackleing those goals!! You go!
I am ebaying alot too - but for my dad. We have a great "system" worked out, i get 20% of sales, for mabye 2 hrs of my work. :) Extra Disney money right?! ;)

Hope you are feeling better! Stomach bugs are the WORST.. we were sick for several days of our last WDW trip last Nov, it was TERRIBLE.. This year i am packing all the precautions!! LOL Antibacterial Gel, CHECK!! Lysol, CHECK!! LOL

Wow...busy schedule! Phew!

Good luck with those Ebay auctions Tracy! Sorry about the Indians :(. I was rooting for them (of course).

Go Rockies! ;) Although I'm pretty sure BoSox have this wrapped up pretty tight LOL! Last night's game was BRU-TAL :scared1: .

Hi Tracy
you have been busy!!!
great you found some xmas prezzies!! i hide DD's all over the place & i always find one after xmas!!
have a great weekend :)

Thanks for stopping by everyone!:grouphug: I will try to get to journals this weekend..... Today, I am on a mission.... My DH will be working in two different malls today. That means, the girls and I get to go with him, we get to walk around the malls, get some exercise in, buy some affordable Christmas presents, and we get to go to Sonic for lunch. (Don't have Sonic in the Cleveland area. We only get to eat there in Florida.) :banana: :woohoo: :yay: :cool1: I am so excited!!!!:woohoo: :cool1: :banana:

Tomorrow we have soccer awards for the girls and breakfast/lunch out afterwards if my DH doesn't have to work. Sunday is church and work on the car day.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!:grouphug:

Have fun at the malls today. What a fun place to get a walk in too!

Thanks for stopping by my journal WISH friend.:)

Hi Tracy,

I'm glad you are feeling better. Great job on your goals this week. Good luck on the auctions, and have fun at the mall.

Take care,
Beth

Well, I am up super early today. I have a lot on my mind with bills that need to be paid, the party next weekend, the problems with the car, e.t.c. I decided to get up, see if I can make some headway with some lists, pay some bills and internet research, and then if I get tired, go back to bed. If not, I see a nap in my future. ;)

Today, we have the girls' soccer awards and DD6's coach is doing extra awards this year. We found out that she will win the "Defensive Player of the Year Award". Do you know how hard it has been NOT telling her?!?!?!? She is going to be soooo excited! :woohoo: :yay: :banana: :cool1:

After the awards, we may go out to eat and then my DH has to work on my mom's car. :( Please pray that he would figure out what the problem is and that God would give him the ability to fix it. He has a very busy week ahead of him and the only time he has to work on the car is this weekend.

Today's Plan:

* Laundry

* Awards Ceremony

* Grocery Store

* Work on the car

* eBay

* Bills

* Party plans (to do lists)

I forgot to mention that we didn't buy even one Christmas gift yesterday. We had a great time walking around the indoor/outdoor mall (probably close to 6 miles), but we didn't see anything that really jumped out at us for anyone. We still have time yet. ;)

Have a great weekend! :grouphug:

Hi Tracy
Great news for DD :cool1:

Hope DH manages to fix the car.

Glad you had a good time at the mall, at least you saved lots of $'s not buying anything!!!

Hi Tracy,

I love being the first one up in the morning. Everything is quiet, and I can just collect myself before heading into the day. I've also seen some really awesome sunrises.

Have fun at the awards ceremony.

Take care,
Beth
