Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Hi Tracy-just "m aking my rounds"--i wont be around much til Tuesday or Wednesday--have a great week and weekend!

Sorry I've been MIA lately! Looks like you are VERY in control at the moment - wanna come be my tutor?????

It's GREAT that DIS trip is paid off! You do SO well at the online stuff!
I've finally posted a note by my computer to remind me to use MyPoints. I do Pinecone & Inboxdollars, but not much else. Currently I'm into playing Netwinner & Winster.

I'm gonna PM you later if I remember. I have something for your DDs.

Have a great rest of the week! Even when I've not been here I've been thinking about you & praying for you!

Hi Wish Sis, I have missed you! Sounds like you are really on track with your food and exercise. I waved at you from high above when we were over Ohio on the plane yesterday! That is such great news that your WDW trip is paid off, that must feel so good. And your trip is so close! Enjoy this next month, that month before the trip is almost as fun as the trip itself. And keep up your good work, you are doing great. Well done resisting the urge to eat after hours the other night, see how well you are doing and how strong you are!:thumbsup2

As always, thanks for sticking with my journal and being there for me!:hug:

Good evening friends,

The past couple of days have been good, but busy. We have about 35 days until our WDW trip and I have a feeling that we are going to be super busy and that time is just going to fly by. For that reason alone, I need to make a list of things to do in regards to our vacation sometime this weekend.

My goals have been going well, but I am a bit dismayed to find myself not losing weight. The culprits? TOM and even though I am not eating 2 hours before bed, I find that I am "making those calories up" somewhere else in my day. :( I need to kick my workouts up a notch and start making better food choices before I find myself at my all time heaviest.

50 Day Countdown Challenge through Friday

Day 16

1. Fitness: 18 workouts totaling 725 minutes

2. Food: salad: 15 days; 12 days of no eating before bed

3. Freeze: 12 days Total amount spent: $85

We have a busy weekend ahead of us: Soccer practice, a visit to my grandma's house, deejaying, church, e.t.c. I am hoping Sunday will be a relaxing day because tomorrow is super busy!

Have a great weekend!:goodvibes

P.S. My new tennis/running shoes are awesome! Nike's are my favorite, but they didn't have any kind that I liked and felt right. So, I went back to the old stand by and bought a pair of Asics Frantic 2 running shoes.... (At least I think the are running shoes. ;) ) Anyhow, they are super comfortable! I probably should have bought two pairs since manufacturers like to change the design year after year. Oh well... They are great for now!:love:

Hi Tracy-
Since yesterday was looking to be so busy, i hope today is relaxing for you. Time is going to fly by til your trip--i cant beleive how close it is---are you sure you dont want me to come too ;)

Hi Tracy!!! :wave:

I know you are discouraged about the weight loss BUT try to focus on the wonderful positives! :goodvibes First of all...you are doing great sticking to your workout goals. You haven't missed a beat despite being super busy. You just have to be proud of your consistence! Secondly....you have been SO good about not eating before bed. That is a great step! Continue with that goal then add to it after you set your new goals....like try to cut out something that has hidden calories in your diet (usually something w/ sugar). Awesome job Tracy! Keep up the great work and have a super week. 35 days girl :).

Hi Tracy,

I'm new to WISH, but I wanted to pop in to say hi. Congratulations on paying off your trip. That is awesome. You are a very busy lady. I'm tired just thinking about your schedule. I am always impressed by someone who homeschools. I just don't have the discipline foe it. Don't worry about your weighin. TOM can really mess up the scale. Just keep drinking your water.

Have a good evening,
]Beth

Hi tracy
Congrats on getting the wdw vacation paid off...not long now :)
Make sure you take lots of pics of pop as thats where we're staying next year!!

Thanks Amy, Beth, and Tracey!:grouphug:

I am sitting here at the computer journaling and working at the same time. We have the windows open so I can hear the high school marching band practicing for the first football game of the season. Brings back so many wonderful memories! I was a cheerleader in high school and my DH played football. During football season, I couldn't wait for Friday nights. Football is one of my favorite sports and cheering at the games and being part of the action was so much fun! Dance A nice little trip down memory lane.... :goodvibes

Today looks to be a good day. We have homeschooling and laundry to finish. I may also try and clean the bathroom today as well. Other than a letter to the superintendent of schools about DD6's homeschooling and some other work on the computer, it should be a pretty laidback and relaxing day. My DH is working in Dayton today and should be home early this evening.

50 Day Countdown Challenge through Tuesday Morning

Day 20

1. Fitness: 19 workouts totaling 740 minutes (Beach Club workout...Watch Great Hotels: Yacht and Beach Club and did a weightlifting workout.)

2. Food: salad: 17 days 14 days of no eating before bed (I did have a snack 1.5 hours before bed....Not the best choice (chips and dip), but I really was hungry.)

3. Freeze: 15 days Total amount spent: $95

DD6 got stung about a week ago and it is still really bugging her. She got stung twice and the spot where she got stung is red and itchy. We have medicine that we can put on her skin and medicine that she can take by mouth, but she can't take both together. I am hoping that it heals for her soon. My DH got stung too, but has only used one dose of the medicine. :rolleyes:

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!:goodvibes

Hi Tracy
Hope DD recovers from the sting - pesky bugs
I got loads of mozzie bites in the Maldives - 4 on the 1st day!!!
But i'd bought some antihistimine (SP??) cream & it made them go away really quickly.
I couldnt find anywhere to post cards in the Maldives!!
I'm struggling to find a postcard here at home too!! BUT we are going to the coast next week for DD's b/day & i know i can get one there so will DEFFINATLY post it out to you next week.....promise

Thanks Tracey!:hug:

DD6 didn't get to go to her cooking class last night. Dad called from the job site, apologized about having to work late, and told her she could pick where she wanted to go for dinner. The choice? Wendys for dinner and Dairy Queen for dessert. She got a kid's meal at Wendys that had a pinball like game in it so her disappointment at not making the cooking class was forgotten. ;)

Today's Plan:

* Workout (done!)

* Laundry

* Homeschool

* Soccer (Weather permitting)

My DH will be working like crazy right through tomorrow evening. I am grateful for the extra work, and hopeful that he will have a chance to relax this weekend. :hug:

Those plans look lie a pretty darn perfect WDW trip! You guys will have a blast :)

And awesome, awesome work keeping up with your goals. You are truely doing a fantastic job, even if the scale isn't demonstrating it. Keep it up :cheer2:

Tracy, your trip plans sound wonderful! You are so close and must be so excited. Your dd has good taste in restaurants, love Wendy's and DQ! That was so sweet of your dh to make it up to her. Kids are easy to make happy huh?

Also, you will love Pop, I agree take lots of pictures, I love that resort and love seeing pics of it.

As for your food, it looks like you are doing pretty well. Don't let the weight issue get you down, TOM is such a pain and can really wreak havoc with your weight loss. ONce that is solidly behind you, I"ll bet the scale will show a loss. Just keep up the good work!

Hey Tracy
your plans look great, so laid back compared to mine!!
I'm like a military officer when we go ;) i have to fit EVERYTHING in!
Are you not doing MGM's ?
hopefully next year having 15 nights at pop I might be a little more laid back as its the longest we've stayed at wdw, so more time to fit everything in!!
Can you take pics of rooms, bathroom, food court, food, pools????
i'm so excited for you :) (& me ;))

Good morning WISH friends,

I see a hot, bubble bath in my near future.:magnify: I am so sore from yesterday's weights workout.:headache: Ouch! :eek: If I do exercise today, it will be gentle stretching or a leisurely walk around the block. Nothing intense.:sad2:

My DH's crazy busy work week is extending into the weekend. It looks like Saturday is free and clear, but he has 2 jobs that must be done on Sunday. One of those jobs has given him headaches and a lot of frustration all week long. Hopefully, he'll get there on Sunday and everything will work as it should.

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Laundry

* Head to Macy's (Hannah Montana t-shirts are supposed to be on sale.)

* Maybe go out to eat

I find out yesterday that our final documents for WDW will soon be on there way!:banana: We have less than 30 days until our trip which seems like forever, but if DH's schedule keeps up the way it has been this week, it's going to fly by very quickly.:banana:

We got game schedules for soccer yesterday. My girls have 4 games at the same time!:eek: My DH is assistant coach for both teams so we're going to have to try and figure out how this is going to work out. It also means that I will be missing portions of the girls' games since I can't be in two places at once. :(

50 Day Countdown Challenge through Friday Morning

Day 23

1. Fitness: 20 workouts totaling 805 minutes

2. Food: salad: 21 days; 17 days of no eating before bed (did not count yet)

3. Freeze: 16 days Total amount spent: $95 + $15 after DH's work day and soccer practice yesterday, we decided to get pizza from Domino's.

That's about all from here! Have a great weekend!:grouphug:

*********************************************************
Bekki~ Thanks so much! I can't wait for our trip! We usually don't do any table service restaurants at all, so I am looking forward to trying some new dining experiences.:banana:

Amy~ Thanks WISH sis!:hug: I am so excited about staying at POP! I wish my scale would start cooperating though. In due time, I guess. ;)

Tracey~ Thanks so much! We're weren't planning on doing MGM this trip, but your post gave me an idea....Maybe I can upgrade my tickets (yet again) to hopper passes so we can take part of a day to visit MGM! Not until December though since Rock n Roller Coaster is in refurb..... Hmmm.....off to the Disney site I go!:yay: Thanks Tracey!:hug:

Hi Tracy,

Your plans look great. I love LeCellier. I hope you aren't still sore from the workout. Good Luck figuring out the soccer issue. Life would be so much easier if we could just duplicate ourselves.

Take care,
Beth

Wow, tracy! someday, someone is going to have to explain wDW to me. Sounds wonderful!! I've been twice in my whole 47 years. 2 days in each park. Boo Hoo!

have a GREAT rest of the weekend & don't forget the Tracy time!!

Good morning friends,

Only 27 more days!:banana: :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

What a rainy day here in Ohio! It has been pouring down rain for hours now and is expected to continue right through tomorrow evening. :eek: Understandably, we are under a flood watch. The scary part is that the work my DH has to do today requires him to climb a ladder and go on a roof to work on a satellite system. ( The system that has been giving him headaches for the past week. :headache: ) The good thing is that he does have help today so hopefully between the two of them, they can get it fixed quickly and safely and then come in from the rain. Prayers for my DH and his co-worker are much appreciated. :grouphug:

The girls and I won't be able to attend church today since my DH has the car so, we plan on doing some cleaning and extra jobs around the house. The girls have Disney charts that they made. Every time they do an extra job for me or dad, they get a sticker. Once they fill up their charts, they give them to us. The day before we leave for WDW, they will have a treasure hunt to find surprises for their trip to WDW. Example, if one of the girls has 6 charts filled up, then she will get to search for 6 wrapped gifts for the trip. They are excited about the scavenger hunt, but not too excited about having to do extra jobs to get a sticker. ;)

50 Day Countdown Challenge through Sunday Morning

Day 25

1. Fitness: 22 workouts totaling 915 minutes

2. Food: salad: 23 days; 18 days of no eating before bed (did not count yet)

3. Freeze: 17 days Total amount spent: $110 + $20 (We had lunch at Wendy's and we had strawberry shortcakes and coffee at two other places.)

That's about all from here....Have a blessed Sunday! :grouphug:

Tracy,

Ahhh...POP, Boma and LeCellier!!! DD and I stayed at POP two years in a row, and although it's a small place, it has a great vibe and I'd stay there again at any time :) Boma was EXCELLENT..the food is so flavorful..and LeCellier holds the title of one of my most memorable dinners EVER. :) I'm a little jealous of your trip ;)

Great job keeping up with your goals...I really am inspired and so happy to see you doing so well with them!

Hope you have a great week...

Hi Tracy,

Your idea for stickers/ extra chores sounds like a good one. I may have to steal that one.:thumbsup2 You are doing great sticking to your goals. Keep up the great work.
We've got a downpour here too. The news just said rain through Saturday. I think rainy days are great for movies and popcorn at home. Hope all goes well with DH.

Take care,
Beth
