Towncars & Tipping

I have never taken a towncar and would like to know what type of tip is standard. Is a tip automatically added? What is expected?

We have used tiffany towncar the last 2 trips. The tip is not automatically included, but im sure its appreciated! We tipped $10 each way for the four of us. With tiffany, you pay the driver for the round trip when they drop you at the resort, that way you dont have to pay on the return, but dont include the tip for the return driver, you may not get the same one! One time, we did however tip $20 on the return-only because we got picked up in a stretch limo! The driver said he was in the area to drop off, and we were next on the list to be picked up, and the limo was what he had. No extra charge for it! It made for the perfect end to a great vacation.

I have used Tiffany Towncars 3 times.
The first 2 times were the Van because there were 6 of us.
The last time we used the regular towncars. I think I tipped $10-15.00 each way depending on how helpful, friendly etc. they were for all.
BTW, you can charge the actual cost and put the tip in there for the 1st leg then just give cash to whomever picks you up. I found that handy.

as far as i know with Happy limo the tip (gratuity) is included in the charge when you book a one way or round trip. Anyone else had experience with this ?

I want to get an idea of exactly how much the towncar will cost, and tip is part of the cost. i also would like to know if companies automatically charge a tip. Thanks!

We used IBEX last year (4 of us in a van). The driver charged us the full amount when he dropped us off at the hotel. The price was $20 more than what is quoted on the website. He indicated that this included a 20% tip. I didn't tip the drive on the return trip because I assumed the drivers split the tip from the first trip. However, when I got home I checked there website and could find no mention of a mandatory tip. I think the first driver may have been taking advantage of the system. I won't use IBEX again.

Happy Limo tip is included in your fare. You book on the website and it states there that the $20 tip (for round trip) is included. Some people don't like this, but I do because it is one less thing I have to worry about. I just say, Thank you and that is all taken care of!

I just confirmed with Ibex Saturday by phone and gave my credit card number then and was told that 20% tip was going to be charged as well. That way they can take care of splitting between whoever.
