Touring the Tower of Terror and other Ghoulish Delights! Sept 13 TR | FINALx2 4/17!!!

file_zpsdde943d5.jpg

Has anyone else noticed that the clouds down in Disney World are always so perfect? Maybe it's just me.

OMG, Yes!!! ALL the time!!! I always notice them in TR photos! (I thought maybe I was the only one :rotfl:)

They must have some pixie dust in those clouds. pixiedust:

Awwe what a wonderful backstory of your relationship! Great that everything has gone so awesomely so far! (and for a long time to come! :p) what a great card!! So cute!!

Awe man we were maybe in the same place for most of the day!! We did CP breakfast and hung out at MK for a bit then I went solo to AK for one “last” FOLK in the afternoon!

Amamazing shots out side MK, I love it when the clouds cooperate for FANTASTIC Disney pictures lol! Blue skies and sunshine!! Also, definitely true of the “best park to go to”

Move it Shake it is probably my favorite parade (if you can call it that) it’s just so high energy and I cannot wait for the day that comes when I’m trained on it, like, seriously, so awesome!!

I love the cinnamon rolls from gastons! SO YUMMY! BUT SO HUGE!

So far I’ve been okay with the bands &fp+, but I haven’t had any problems, and really liked being able to pick what time of day you wanted to book fp’s for. It especially helped when I was trying to catch a certain set time of Blondie’s to see a friend who was with her bahha!

Happy Anniversary! We will be at WDW for our 10year Anniversary! I'm looking forward to the trip immensely! We will most likely have our Anniversary as a Resort Day.

The whole limit is 3FP a day and no option to Park Hop is very sad. I am really hoping they roll out some changes. I am also VERY sad that I can only choose one favorite at both Epcot and DHS! I want to ride both Toy Story and Rock n Roller Coaster!!

Hi Dani
What a beautiful wedding story you have! I was very moved. .you and Matt are truly meant for each other...and you looked absolutely beautiful in your wedding dress!

You meeting Matt for the first time is a neat story! Your lucky...my husband doesnt remember meeting me until the 3rd or 4th time we met..LOL...we had mutual friends..he blew our love at first site story out of the water!! Lol

Yeah for all the updates!! Your wedding story derailed me...back to go catch-up!

I'm actually *not* renewing my AP this year because of the craziness that is FP+

They don't really seem to know what to do with local AP users. It's frustrating.

Dani, I went over to that blog to read about your wedding, and I teared up! Such a great story, and Matt is such a romantic for telling you were beautiful right away :goodvibes I'd wish you many more happy years together, but I feel like that's a guarantee for you two!

I've been saying it forever, Move It, Shake It is literally the most random assortment of characters ever! Because yeah, you've got your Renaissance Disney, but there's also Incredibles characters, and just...yeah. It's hilarious and I love it.

Mmmmmm Gaston's cinnamon buns. I love that chair, though at 5'3 it's not quite so fitting for me.

Add me to the list of people who would run up to you at Disney and tell you how much my family loves your video! Seriously! I'm in love with that first song and my kids love watching it with me. So, THANK YOU! :goodvibes

Sweet wedding pictures! I love the shoes his mama made yall... those are awesome!

That cinnamon roll from Gaston's is HUGE and looks delicious! You said it has a maple flavor? Yum!

Hi!:wave2:
It's been a while since I posted, but I am really enjoying your TR. I love the anniversary card that Matt gave you. I am the Disney lover in my family, and I love it when my DH gets me these types of cards. I have rec'd many, as we have been married 35yrs.....
I think you made a wise choice moving your plans to MK, the day looks beautiful. And I am happy to see so many sunshine pictures, this has been a brutal winter here in WI.
I'm happy you found the real Disney outlet, and way to score on some fun vinylmation. Sometimes there is nothing there, and other times I have a hard time deciding what will fit in my suitcase. My DD has a real Disney outlet about two miles from her home in south FL. So it is easy for me to check it out when I visit.
I love your resort choices, esp the Beach Club Villas, and night swimming at SAB. I did read your wedding blog, thanks for sharing with us, your dress was beautiful, and the shoes were perfect.

Awww, your engagement and wedding stories are so cute!! Matt really hit the nail on the head with that card!

I loooooove MK when it's a slow day! Really, I love all of the parks on slow days, but MK doesn't seem to be slow as often, so I cherish it more.

That Starbucks looks good right now... and so does that cinnamon roll!

What a great relationship story!!!

Also I just watched your trip videos (internet connection in Egypt is meh at best, so I often don't stream things but I just HAD to watch them)... I loved your videos! You are Matt are the cutest!!!

I am absolutely in love with your trip report, I'm an avid vinylmation collector too! Spending my day off reading your other reports before the big game starts :)

I love your balloon shots. I love Disney balloons. They always make me so happy :)

What a sweet update. I loved reading about how you met and your wedding. Being from Oregon, I understand always having to have a plan "B" from the rain, no matter the month. :) Your wedding day really seemed so authentic to your personalities. How wonderful! Also, belated Happy Anniversary wishes to you and Matt!

Loved your balloon photos! So pretty. . . .

Okay, I sadly fell behind, but I'm getting caught up now! Prepare yourself.... :goodvibes

Peoplemover is definitely the best! It's been a favorite of mine ever since I was little. What a better way to just relax and chill.

Ugh, that's the main thing I dislike about Crocs! When it's hot, your feet just get sticky.

I love the Chip and Dale trade!!!

HM is my favorite too. I got the phone case on my last trip. I'm in love with it.

WOAH! Epic HM tattoo!

So you liked the case for waterproofing the phone? I had totally thought about getting one myself, but I actually caved and got an underwater digital instead.

I can't wait for all of the Starbucks locations to be open either!

That is an ugly car! But I love your making the ugliest car possible concept. The poop wagon. Awesome. I too am 5.

Your face in that picture is incredible!

Ewwww, a bag soaked in soda? That sucks!

Girl, I'm in the same boat with the heat! My face gets all kinds of red and sweaty. People legitimately ask me if I'm okay all the time. YES, I'M FINE!

They packaged my two school bread up that way too. And the 5 year old inside me could not stop laughing about it. :rolleyes1

Seriously, that bag is ridiculous. I'm so insanely jealous...I can't even......

I would have had choice words for line jumping lady. I'm bad about that. Can't take me anywhere, my mouth gets me in trouble. LOL.

My mom and I are sharers to the end. We always do the "you order this, I'll order this, and we'll split!" I love it, because I too love a smorgasbord.

You were recognized in Disney! That's always a good day.

Awesome that you guys were able to meet. There are just some people on the DIS that you click with. I totally get it.

Ghirardelli is the best! We are lucky enough to have one in Chicago. It's in the dead center of the city, so I don't make it often. But it's just amazing.

Ugh! As a fellow Danielle, I also get irritated when people just can't get my name right! Random irk? A sales rep that works for my company emails me, and insists on opening or responding to my emails by calling me Daniel. Which I find unacceptable, as my name is my Outlook email name AND it's in my signature. It's just inexcusable.

Via Napoli pizza is just so good. So so good.

What I love about that tiny town is that when it's the food and wine festival, they put little food booths up!

WOW! What an amazing thing to win!

Those onion rings do look incredible. And the fact that the onion doesn't slip out and burn the crap out of your lip? Priceless.

No DVC hat?! That stinks. We were able to find one at Saratoga. Maybe they were just out where you were looking?

I'm still obsessed with that magic cookie bar.

Who doesn't want to grow up to be a dinosaur?!

You met Susie too! Awesome!

I've never actually traded Vinyls before. I've been pretty fortunate to not get dupes really. I'm afraid to become a super serious collector, because I know what will happen at that point....

Woah. What an awkward early morning encounter!

See! Now I'm wanting to get more into Vinyls.....dangit!

There's always sharks everywhere, isn't there? It just amazes me.

I saw on IG when you finished your Haunted Mansion collection. Awesome!

Where did you find the display cases? I'm having difficultly finding places for mine.

Ugh, I wanted Frozen vinyls so bad. Nope, it was not meant to be.

Love Matt's Zelda shirt btw. :goodvibes

The dole whip swirl is the best!! It's such a great combination of the pineapple with the sweetness of the vanilla.

Wow, I'm so sorry you had so many problems with the Magic Bands! We had none, which I was not expecting. But that was January. I'm hoping it means they've worked out the kinks.

I can tell you EXACTLY how to get a good score if you ever want to know. ;)

I miss old school Epcot. The majority of my Epcot memories are from the 80's.

The key to Disney Quest is to go on the Pirate's Attraction. It's tons of fun!

Raglan Road is just sooooo good! Those shakes look huge! I always get them from the outside location, and they're very teeny. To me at least, LOL.

What?! The Buzz hoodie has a button that makes laser sounds! I had no idea.

I keep meaning to go to the good outlet and we just never make it there!

I just died when you showed me the bon bon. Or drooled. Or both.

Oooohhh, your story is so amazing! Good on you doing long distance for some time. But clearly it was all worth it. And your cake toppers!? Ridiculous!

IHeartDuck, that is a dedicated reply! Wow!

So much to love about your last few updates but the wedding stuff is my favorite, from the beautiful dress and story to the Wall-e cake toppers, you guys are just awesome. Boo- your beautiful....sniff sniff.

Alrighty, now I can't even remember the updates. There was a beautiful cinnamon roll, I would remember the food!! And there was some weird story about going offsite...I'm sure you can do that...but why?! No doubt we will be braver when my little kids are bigger, I do need to visit the dark side someday and see Harry Potter.

Thanks as always for sharing.

I tried the Basin hand scrub for the first time last week and am in LOVE! I wanted to buy one, but I just couldn't spare $30. Plus, I left my credit card in the room, and I felt bad even when my husband said he would get it for me. I think I'll play around with making my own hand scrubs first and see how that works before paying for one.

OMG I love that you guys have the matching Woody and Buzz hoodies! And now I want to go back and find that button on the sleeve!!!

When we go to Florida with my parents, we stay off property, and I'm more than willing to go to the outlets with them to possibly find some great Vinylmation and/or pins! Plus, the CMs there usually have much better pins on their lanyards because not many trade with them. I bought 6 packs of lanyards with traders last time because they were so inexpensive. But now that we've had opportunities to stay solely on property, I totally understand not wanting to leave! I can't imagine being off property and on those highways and seeing all those ... people, haha. On property, it's all Disney people!

So it's not just me! We got the lamb platter last week, and I said, "It looks like less food because it used to be on the red and white plates." Then I remembered that we were both pretty satisfied sharing a plate the first time, but I felt that I could eat the whole plate myself this time. I chalked it up to just being hungry. Boo to skimping on portions!

I greatly appreciate the innards shot of the Oreo Bon Bon! I had to take one like that when I finally tried the Zebra Dome because I had kept searching for what was inside before our Disneymoon, but everyone always had the perfect intact desserts in their pictures! Yum, the Bon Bon looks more like something I would enjoy.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the relationship/wedding overview! But who wouldn't considering you guys are apparently celebrities in the Disney circle!

Okay, first that card had me crying. And then your wedding story made me cry more. :lovestruc I love how much you guys love each other.

Still here reading . I have come out of lurking to say I loved the anniversary card and read your wedding story which was amazing. So lovely that you found your other half . Cant wait to read more :)

Just wanted to say thanks for the updates today!! It's a Friday and a week I can't wait to be done with, so this was a wonderful pick me up!

Love changing plans last minute!! And you're right, MNSSHP days are the days to hit MK. Lots of people don't park hop so they skip MK entirely that day.

Hope you had a wonderful anniversary and many more!!

Ps - the 17th was our arrival day so I'm reading your play by play and reminiscing about what I was doing at the same time - way too much fun for me! So thanks for that as well!

Aww YAY! I'm so glad my updates were the perfect pick-me-up!! :goodvibes

I totally agree, changing plans was just awesome. It definitely made both Matt and I decide that next trip we are just kind of rolling with things and we'll figure out where we want to go that morning... Or well, at least after our first few days, haha. We always have solid plans when we go for the first couple of days in the parks.

Our anniversary was during our trip, on the 17th, and it was such a fun day! We really enjoyed being in Disney for our wedding anniversary.

And that's awesome! I wonder if you'll find yourself in the background of one of my photos, hahaha. OR vice versa!

oh my goodness! Brad and I get each other two cards! a funny one and a sentimental one! And I feel like I got him the card Matt got you, or vice versa! Is it bad that I can't exactly remember? Haha! Those cupcake toppers are too too cute!

The weather looked so beautiful that day in the Magic Kingdom! And going back to your previous post, the first time I went to WDW, which wasn't until 2002, I remember thinking how WEIRD it was that were nothing around for miles once you crossed under the WDW sign! I was so used to DIsneyland, and staying at my cousin's house two miles down the road!

Haha we do the same thing! And thanks, I had those two toys sitting at home and figured they needed to be our toppers!

The weather was perfect. I love the Disney bubble and not having to worry about reality. But I can see how that would be weird if you went to Disneyland all the time! It's so different, that's for sure.

Your post about your wedding is SO beautiful and inspiring! You two are clearly meant to be, which makes reading your TR so much fun!

Thank you so much! :goodvibes I feel ridiculously lucky to have met Matt. It's a total cliche but he really is my other half.

So, I'm really bad at following TRs, in the sense that I can't keep up and never end up seeing the Op's responses. I just went back and read them all! Where in the South Shore are you from? I grew up in the seacoast of Maine/NH but have lived in Boston for the past 8 years. I have a lot of south shore friends! Also, my best friend just moved to Seattle and is loving it!

I alway seem to be reading your updates when Im starving too. UGH THOSE BON BONS. I cant tolerate gluten and while I love Disney because they offer me so many options, I just want one of those monster cinnamon rolls!

I love that you were able to schedule a FP+ for HM right away like that. Thats one of our favs too and I hope that kind of thing will still be an option on our next trip!

Oh AND, your wedding photos!!!! You two are just so sweet together. You seem like a really happy pair and I love that. :lovestruc

Oh I know exactly what you mean! I'm in the same boat. And I grew up in Abington, though most of my immediate family lives in North Weymouth now. That's awesome your friend loves Seattle, it's a fantastic place to live! I'm actually going to be back in Boston for a few days before I go to NYC for work in April. I'm excited to go back and see my family for a few days.

Haha, I'm writing them when I'm hungry, too! It's kind of the worst.

Yeah, I hope they keep the FP+ pretty open, but we'll see.. I'm just hoping it's not too bad during our next trip!

We are a pretty happy pair, I'd say. He makes me laugh every single day, and that in itself is a wonderful thing.

Um, I for sure just teared up reading your wedding story. </nerd>

Dawww, I cried when I wrote it, so there is that.

Dani, that is so beautiful that you got married in the same location as the proposal. Like... movie beautiful. No wonder you're one of my fav couples. Without a doubt clearly soul mates. :goodvibes

Also, rain on your wedding day is evidently ironic according to Alanis Morisette. Also ironic is that is in no way at all ironic.

Disney healthy breakfasts rule. I approve!!

That just totally cracks me up that you just changed your plans like that. AND I LOVE IT!!!!!

Haha, yeah I may have already let that cat out of the bag regarding MNSSHP days. But it is STILL the absolute best time to go to MK. Just glorious!

OMG Dani, Move It Shake It is an obsession, pure and simple. I seriosuly can't get enough of it. The rhythm is gonna get ya. Just sayin'

Aww Dani, that Rapunzel Tower photo looks like a postcard. So pretty.

Haha, wonder no more because FP+ is all rolled out and FP machines are gone, history, kaput. I'm still hoping for some tweaking; Mostly more than 1 park per day. This one park per day thing is just too hard for a hopper like me. :sad2:

Haha thanks! It just seemed to work out perfectly. We love Alki Beach and now it holds a special place in our hearts.

Oh Alanis, I totally almost made a joke about it being ironic, but not really, hahaha.

Healthiest breakfasts ever in good ol' Disney World!

Yeah, we prefer to roll that way. Planning is fun, but there is just something so delightful about not worrying about plans and just going out and doing what you want that morning. More of that during our next trip, for sure.

Move It Shake It is just hilarious... and I love dancing to it whenever it's riding on by!

I loved that area so much. I want to spend more time there again in September and find more of Pascals hidden friends.

Yeah, I wrote this update a while ago, haha, when the machines were still around. I really hope they open it up to more parks, because I agree, one park per day for park hoppers is terrible.

OMG, Yes!!! ALL the time!!! I always notice them in TR photos! (I thought maybe I was the only one :rotfl:)

They must have some pixie dust in those clouds. pixiedust:

Hahaha nope, Disney clouds are truly the best! It's not just you!

I'd say it's gone pretty well since it's been over 10 years, hahaha. But yeah, Matt got that card RIGHT!

Oh weird how we didn't see each other though!

The clouds are the best in Disney. They always make photos ten times more amazing.

I think that'd be an awesome parade to be trained on!

Yeah, I'm glad we split one, because it was HUGE. Perfect snack to split with a friend!

I'm hoping FP+ isn't too bad! I think the only downside for us is one park per day since we park hop a lot. But I'm sure it'll be fine since we go during less crowded times.

Thanks, though I may have confused people because our anniversary was during our actual trip on the 17th, haha. But that's going to be such a fun way to celebrate 10 years!! A resort day sounds pretty amazing to me.

Yeah, I totally agree, it just seems like a dumb idea for people who park hop... and what do you mean you can only choose one? This must be new, because I had no problem making FP reservations for Toy Story, then RNRC, then Tower of Terror (if I wanted). So how does it work now then?

Thank you so much. :goodvibes

Hahaha, we had one of those meeting stories that seemed like it came out of a movie or something. I tell people and they think I'm lying, but I swear, I'm not!

I'm actually *not* renewing my AP this year because of the craziness that is FP+

They don't really seem to know what to do with local AP users. It's frustrating.

Wow, really? I'm sure it's frustrating for locals, wompwomp. Especially if you can't make AP reservations online or anything. Hopefully they'll get something figured out so it isn't so bad for you.
