Touring the Tower of Terror and other Ghoulish Delights! Sept 13 TR | FINALx2 4/17!!!

Dani, I went over to that blog to read about your wedding, and I teared up! Such a great story, and Matt is such a romantic for telling you were beautiful right away :goodvibes I'd wish you many more happy years together, but I feel like that's a guarantee for you two!

I've been saying it forever, Move It, Shake It is literally the most random assortment of characters ever! Because yeah, you've got your Renaissance Disney, but there's also Incredibles characters, and just...yeah. It's hilarious and I love it.

Mmmmmm Gaston's cinnamon buns. I love that chair, though at 5'3 it's not quite so fitting for me.

Aww, thank you! I think it still stands to date as one of my favorite moments in my life... and I'll never forget it.

Haha it really is such a random parade! But I agree, it's definitely fun and hilarious.

Hahaha Matt looked perfect in the chair. I was still kind of shrimpy, but I'm 5'8", haha.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I love the video so much.

Thank you!! I'm glad you loved it and watched it! Well, now you've hopefully seen both videos!

Add me to the list of people who would run up to you at Disney and tell you how much my family loves your video! Seriously! I'm in love with that first song and my kids love watching it with me. So, THANK YOU! :goodvibes

Sweet wedding pictures! I love the shoes his mama made yall... those are awesome!

That cinnamon roll from Gaston's is HUGE and looks delicious! You said it has a maple flavor? Yum!

AWWW that makes me so happy!! Seriously! I hope you guys have watched our September video, too!

And yeah, Matt's Mom is crazy talented! I totally cried when I opened htem because it was a total surprise from her.

It IS huge and amazingly good! It has a maple frosting on top!

Hi!:wave2:
It's been a while since I posted, but I am really enjoying your TR. I love the anniversary card that Matt gave you. I am the Disney lover in my family, and I love it when my DH gets me these types of cards. I have rec'd many, as we have been married 35yrs.....
I think you made a wise choice moving your plans to MK, the day looks beautiful. And I am happy to see so many sunshine pictures, this has been a brutal winter here in WI.
I'm happy you found the real Disney outlet, and way to score on some fun vinylmation. Sometimes there is nothing there, and other times I have a hard time deciding what will fit in my suitcase. My DD has a real Disney outlet about two miles from her home in south FL. So it is easy for me to check it out when I visit.
I love your resort choices, esp the Beach Club Villas, and night swimming at SAB. I did read your wedding blog, thanks for sharing with us, your dress was beautiful, and the shoes were perfect.

Glad to see you again here!! We go back and forth in getting each other Disney-related cards.. but they're always so perfect! I think the best one I found for Matt was an Up one... with Carl and Ellie on the front.

I was happy to have gone to MK that day, we had such a good time. And it's looking way better than Seattle, too!

Yeah, we found some good stuff, but like you, I had to be careful about what I bought because of bringing stuff home in our suitcases.

BCV is amazing, as is SAB... and thank you again. Our wedding was a day I won't forget... even though I'm happy it's over, haha.

Awww, your engagement and wedding stories are so cute!! Matt really hit the nail on the head with that card!

I loooooove MK when it's a slow day! Really, I love all of the parks on slow days, but MK doesn't seem to be slow as often, so I cherish it more.

That Starbucks looks good right now... and so does that cinnamon roll!

Thank you! Matt did such a great job with that card.

MK is awesome when it's slow, I totally agree. It's usually the busiest.

I think I just need to go to Disney World right now for both of those things, seriously!

What a great relationship story!!!

Also I just watched your trip videos (internet connection in Egypt is meh at best, so I often don't stream things but I just HAD to watch them)... I loved your videos! You are Matt are the cutest!!!

Thank you! AND YAY! I'm glad you watched our videos, even with a bad internet connection! That is awesome. :goodvibes

I am absolutely in love with your trip report, I'm an avid vinylmation collector too! Spending my day off reading your other reports before the big game starts :)

Thank you so much! And that's awesome that you collect Vinylmation, too!! Hope you've enjoyed reading my TRs!!

I love your balloon shots. I love Disney balloons. They always make me so happy :)

I'm so with you, any time I see Disney balloons, I'm taking photos of them!

What a sweet update. I loved reading about how you met and your wedding. Being from Oregon, I understand always having to have a plan "B" from the rain, no matter the month. :) Your wedding day really seemed so authentic to your personalities. How wonderful! Also, belated Happy Anniversary wishes to you and Matt!

Loved your balloon photos! So pretty. . . .

Thank you so much.. and I'm glad you understand the rain! We had a plan B.... but it would have been nice to get married out on the beach, haha. Oh well!

And thank you! We tried to have our wedding be full of things that represented us. I love weddings where I leave saying, "That was SO them!"

Okay, I sadly fell behind, but I'm getting caught up now! Prepare yourself.... :goodvibes

Peoplemover is definitely the best! It's been a favorite of mine ever since I was little. What a better way to just relax and chill.

Ugh, that's the main thing I dislike about Crocs! When it's hot, your feet just get sticky.

I love the Chip and Dale trade!!!

HM is my favorite too. I got the phone case on my last trip. I'm in love with it.

WOAH! Epic HM tattoo!

So you liked the case for waterproofing the phone? I had totally thought about getting one myself, but I actually caved and got an underwater digital instead.

I can't wait for all of the Starbucks locations to be open either!

That is an ugly car! But I love your making the ugliest car possible concept. The poop wagon. Awesome. I too am 5.

Your face in that picture is incredible!

Ewwww, a bag soaked in soda? That sucks!

Girl, I'm in the same boat with the heat! My face gets all kinds of red and sweaty. People legitimately ask me if I'm okay all the time. YES, I'M FINE!

They packaged my two school bread up that way too. And the 5 year old inside me could not stop laughing about it. :rolleyes1

Seriously, that bag is ridiculous. I'm so insanely jealous...I can't even......

I would have had choice words for line jumping lady. I'm bad about that. Can't take me anywhere, my mouth gets me in trouble. LOL.

My mom and I are sharers to the end. We always do the "you order this, I'll order this, and we'll split!" I love it, because I too love a smorgasbord.

You were recognized in Disney! That's always a good day.

Awesome that you guys were able to meet. There are just some people on the DIS that you click with. I totally get it.

Ghirardelli is the best! We are lucky enough to have one in Chicago. It's in the dead center of the city, so I don't make it often. But it's just amazing.

Ugh! As a fellow Danielle, I also get irritated when people just can't get my name right! Random irk? A sales rep that works for my company emails me, and insists on opening or responding to my emails by calling me Daniel. Which I find unacceptable, as my name is my Outlook email name AND it's in my signature. It's just inexcusable.

Via Napoli pizza is just so good. So so good.

What I love about that tiny town is that when it's the food and wine festival, they put little food booths up!

WOW! What an amazing thing to win!

Those onion rings do look incredible. And the fact that the onion doesn't slip out and burn the crap out of your lip? Priceless.

No DVC hat?! That stinks. We were able to find one at Saratoga. Maybe they were just out where you were looking?

I'm still obsessed with that magic cookie bar.

Who doesn't want to grow up to be a dinosaur?!

You met Susie too! Awesome!

I've never actually traded Vinyls before. I've been pretty fortunate to not get dupes really. I'm afraid to become a super serious collector, because I know what will happen at that point....

Woah. What an awkward early morning encounter!

See! Now I'm wanting to get more into Vinyls.....dangit!

There's always sharks everywhere, isn't there? It just amazes me.

I saw on IG when you finished your Haunted Mansion collection. Awesome!

Where did you find the display cases? I'm having difficultly finding places for mine.

Ugh, I wanted Frozen vinyls so bad. Nope, it was not meant to be.

Love Matt's Zelda shirt btw. :goodvibes

The dole whip swirl is the best!! It's such a great combination of the pineapple with the sweetness of the vanilla.

Wow, I'm so sorry you had so many problems with the Magic Bands! We had none, which I was not expecting. But that was January. I'm hoping it means they've worked out the kinks.

I can tell you EXACTLY how to get a good score if you ever want to know. ;)

I miss old school Epcot. The majority of my Epcot memories are from the 80's.

The key to Disney Quest is to go on the Pirate's Attraction. It's tons of fun!

Raglan Road is just sooooo good! Those shakes look huge! I always get them from the outside location, and they're very teeny. To me at least, LOL.

What?! The Buzz hoodie has a button that makes laser sounds! I had no idea.

I keep meaning to go to the good outlet and we just never make it there!

I just died when you showed me the bon bon. Or drooled. Or both.

Oooohhh, your story is so amazing! Good on you doing long distance for some time. But clearly it was all worth it. And your cake toppers!? Ridiculous!

OH. EM. GEE. You officially win an award for the longest comment I have EVER received in a TR... EVER.

For the sake of time, I'm not going to be able to reply to every comment... BUT IT TOTALLY READ THEM ALL. I swear... and I enjoyed every single one of them, too.

I will say, the Peoplemover rules, Crocs are not so awesome when it's hot out, Matt also has a HM cover (but one we found on society6), the waterproof phone case was nice BUT Matt just surprised me with a GoPro, so I'm planning on using that during our next trip since it comes with a waterproof case, I'm glad I'm not alone on the hot/sweaty face, haha, I'm jealous you have a Ghirardelli because YUM, I KNOW what you mean about people getting your name wrong at work, HI I'M NOT A DUDE, the onion rings ruled at Flametree, no DVC hat, but now we have some, YAY!, Vinyls are beyond addicting, BEYOND addicting, I have bought display cases at The Container Store and also at Daiso, which is a Japanese Dollar Store and it rules, Dole Whip Swirls are better than everything else, I want to know how to get a score, heck yes, Matt misses old school Epcot like... a lot, Raglan Road is awesome, though the shakes weren't huge, they were perfect size with our meals, and yeah, long distance after spending a ton of time together for a year, to not, was definitely rough but obviously worth it... and the cake toppers still make me happy.

Hey, I didn't do too bad, and that the longest sentence I've ever written, even if it's terrible grammar.

IHeartDuck, that is a dedicated reply! Wow!

So much to love about your last few updates but the wedding stuff is my favorite, from the beautiful dress and story to the Wall-e cake toppers, you guys are just awesome. Boo- your beautiful....sniff sniff.

Alrighty, now I can't even remember the updates. There was a beautiful cinnamon roll, I would remember the food!! And there was some weird story about going offsite...I'm sure you can do that...but why?! No doubt we will be braver when my little kids are bigger, I do need to visit the dark side someday and see Harry Potter.

Thanks as always for sharing.

Haha, longest reply I've ever gotten!

Thank you so much! I loved our wedding, and it took so much time and effort, but it was worth it in the end. :)

Haha I thought shopping at the outlets would be fun! It was a mistake, NEVER AGAIN! But we will go off-site again for WWoHP, as we're both Harry Potter fans.

Thank YOU for reading!

I tried the Basin hand scrub for the first time last week and am in LOVE! I wanted to buy one, but I just couldn't spare $30. Plus, I left my credit card in the room, and I felt bad even when my husband said he would get it for me. I think I'll play around with making my own hand scrubs first and see how that works before paying for one.

OMG I love that you guys have the matching Woody and Buzz hoodies! And now I want to go back and find that button on the sleeve!!!

When we go to Florida with my parents, we stay off property, and I'm more than willing to go to the outlets with them to possibly find some great Vinylmation and/or pins! Plus, the CMs there usually have much better pins on their lanyards because not many trade with them. I bought 6 packs of lanyards with traders last time because they were so inexpensive. But now that we've had opportunities to stay solely on property, I totally understand not wanting to leave! I can't imagine being off property and on those highways and seeing all those ... people, haha. On property, it's all Disney people!

So it's not just me! We got the lamb platter last week, and I said, "It looks like less food because it used to be on the red and white plates." Then I remembered that we were both pretty satisfied sharing a plate the first time, but I felt that I could eat the whole plate myself this time. I chalked it up to just being hungry. Boo to skimping on portions!

I greatly appreciate the innards shot of the Oreo Bon Bon! I had to take one like that when I finally tried the Zebra Dome because I had kept searching for what was inside before our Disneymoon, but everyone always had the perfect intact desserts in their pictures! Yum, the Bon Bon looks more like something I would enjoy.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the relationship/wedding overview! But who wouldn't considering you guys are apparently celebrities in the Disney circle!

First, I just wanted to say I loved following your trip through IG!

The Basin hand scrub is AMAZING. We bought some in Vegas because Matt said we should... and it's fabulous. We bought the Almond one since Matt likes the smell of almond, and it's so lovely. Let me know if you find away to make a scrub like it though!

Thank you! We don't get to wear them often, but it's kind of fun to on special occasions!

That makes total sense for staying off-property! I just think when you leave after staying on-property in that bubble... it feels so weird. It's all Disney when you're in that bubble, like you said!

I'M SO GLAD YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN ABOUT MOROCCO! How disappointing, right?! I don't normally mind, but because it's so much more expensive, it was a bit of a let down.

I thought people would like to know what the INSIDE of the Bon Bon looks like! It's so good, I think you should try it next time! I still need to try the Zebra Dome at some point.

Aww thank you! We're not really celebrities, I just think we have insane timing with running into people! Hahaha, it was so weird about the video thing though, 3 people in one trip.

Okay, first that card had me crying. And then your wedding story made me cry more. :lovestruc I love how much you guys love each other.

Awww, just me, I cried a lot when I saw that card... AND when I wrote that post, too! Matt is my best friend and other half, and I mean it when I say that. :cloud9:

Wow, so um I just randomly found your TR while I was perusing the Dis, looking to feed my Disney addiction and happened upon yours! Basically I've just spent the last two hours of my life reading the ENTIRE thing! :hyper:

I gotta say I loves it! All the food, the shopping and adventures you've shared are awesome! Totally giving me my Disney fix!!

I also love learning about the Vinylmation and your obsession with Haunted Mansion!! :thumbsup2

Anyway, just wanted to tell you how great I am finding your TR to be! I was a little sad when I reached the last post and realized I was finally caught up... :worried:

But I am joining in from here on out and cant wait to see the rest of your trip! Especially MNSSHP, as we will be attending the first time this coming fall as well!!

Awww, I'm so glad you found my trip report and you're reading along.. AND enjoying it!! :goodvibes

Vinylmation are fun to collect, but addicting as heck! And I'd say Matt is the one with the HUGE Haunted Mansion obsession. I just collect the series as kind of an homage to his love and passion for it.

If you ever feel like reading my past Trip Reports, I have 2 other Disney World and one other Disneyland one I wrote! After this one is over, I'll have a Disneyland Trip Report started from our November trip. Phew, they're neverending.

MNSSHP is coming up in a few updates, and I think you will enjoy it!!

Ha-Ha! I knew it wasn't your anniversary now.. Since you were discussing it though I thought I would say congrats!!

Now for Epcot and DHS there are 2 Tiers. You can only choose one ride from Tier 1 and 2 from Tier 2. It's really a bummer!!

Happy anniversary, Dani! Your wedding story was beautiful! Your wedding seemed so perfect to you and Matt. The location was beautiful, and in a strange way I think the rainy weather sort of added to the ambiance in your pictures. I love those PP shots at the end- the sky looks so pretty!

Chapter 36: "Did she just say 'all the guys that turn me on..."?!"
Day Seven: September 17th, 2013

As we left off, we were heading into the Haunted Mansion... soooo we hopped right on and it was fabulous as always!

file_zps3badd1cd.jpg

file_zps21266a15.jpg

We left there and headed over towards Frontierland to possibly go on Splash.

On our way, we stopped in the Trading Post so I could trade some Vinylmation. I noticed this ADORABLE Duffy that I had a very hard time not stealing.

file_zps61e1a6ac.jpg

I ended up trading twice (I think Matt helped me on this one), and ended up with two really terrible Vinylmation that I planned on trading again during our trip.

file_zps59994ae3.jpg

After we left the Trading Post, we noticed that a showing of Country Bear Jamboree was happening soon... so we figured, what the heck, let's go see it! I'd never done it before, while Matt hadn't done it since he was a little kid... so inside we went! See, this trip really was about experiencing all sorts of stuff I'd never done before.

file_zps1d6f14bf.jpg

file_zpsf2ca39d1.jpg

HAHAHA this was the WEIRDEST show ever! Oh my gosh, the amount of inappropriate songs for kids just cracked me up..

file_zpsff599a9e.jpg

file_zps11729262.jpg

But obviously I still loved it. It's clearly a Disney classic, and it's got AC, so I was pretty cool with that. But I'm still not sure how I feel about that sassy bear singing about how all the guys that turn her on, turn her down, hahaha. Saddest song ever. Poor sassy bear.

We decided to finally get over to Splash to check out the wait time.

file_zps74ebd9f3.jpg

However, Matt was still feeling really crappy/sick, plus there was a 20 minute wait, so we decided to move on. He felt bad, but I honestly was okay with it since I didn't have my heart set on it or anything. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Splash, but I also wasn't really wanting to wait for 20 minutes... and yes, I realize I'm spoiled when I'm not willing to wait 20 minutes for Splash Mountain.

So off we went towards Adventureland!

file_zpsd27e7726.jpg

Pirates had a 5 minute wait, so we decided to go on that, because it's hard to say no to a 5 minute wait.

file_zpsf5c63730.jpg

We left Pirates and there was a Pirates show going on nearby. It's kind of funny, in January whenever there was a show, you had to BARELY squeeze by to get through the crowds. Now? Not so much.

I blame the Tour Groups.

file_zps5de6f9d0.jpg

It was a ridiculously nice day outside, and one day, I definitely want to go on the Magic Carpets... They always look fun.

file_zpsc32424d3.jpg

Main Street was calling our name, so we headed there, and of course, I was obsessed with the balloons... as always.

MORE BALLOON PHOTOS.

file_zps6a9e5748.jpg

file_zps7b535d8c.jpg

We decided to stop inside of Uptown Jewelers because I wanted to take a look at some earrings... and I ended up with two pairs. I clearly needed to add to my Mickey earring collection, haha.

DSC_0308_2_zps6ed4191c.jpg

DSC_0309_zps1d060b9c.jpg

We also wanted to stop by the Emporium, but unfortunately the parade was going through and we couldn't get across, wompwomp. So instead, we hooked around and went to the Firehouse to get more Sorcerers cards.

file_zps300eb2cc.jpg

It was time to say farewell to Magic Kingdom for now, as we needed to go grab a bite to eat and relax for a bit before Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party later.

file_zps8e9bdf79.jpg

As we walked over towards the bus stops, we waved at the little boat heading over for the Wilderness Lodge. Those boats were so good to us!

file_zps116bcd67.jpg

Lucky for us, a bus was waiting for us, too!

Chapter 37: I finally reveal my MNSSHP costume!
Day Seven: September 17th, 2013

When we got back, we hopped off at the Yacht Club and beelined it right on over to Beaches and Cream. We are biiiiig Beaches and Cream fans and it's always a must-do for every trip, at least once, if not twice for us. It was pretty busy, but there were seats at the counter for us, so we took 'em!

I ordered my usual Cherry Coke, because it always tastes extra perfect there.

DSC_0296_zps4087959b.jpg

And Matt actually ordered one, too! He does not drink soda EVER, and I mean ever... but the one exception he will make is at Beaches and Cream.

DSC_0299_2_zpsd5696fc3.jpg

Our waitress came over to us and took our order. She was kind of brusk, but we liked her. I love this place in general though. I mean, it's tiny in the amount of people it can fit (which becomes an issue later on in this TR), but it has such charm about it, and I love the old school 50s soda shop vibe it has to it.

Anyway, Matt ordered the bacon cheeseburger with a side of onion rings.

DSC_0301_zpsc9d1c6b3.jpg

I went with a normal cheeseburger with onion rings on the side, as well.

DSC_0302_2_zps00d07b90.jpg

Beaches and Cream is always SO good and those onion rings are just delightful! The burgers are fabulous, and it's an all-around awesome place to eat.

While we were eating, we noticed our waitress was from Kirkland, WA, which is not too far from us here. We mentioned that we were from nearby, and she told us that she'd been living in Florida for like 20 years and HATED Washington state, hahahaha. Welp.

It's always awkward when people tell you they hate the place that you love living. But once she explained how much she disliked rain and loves hot and humid weather, it made it WAY more understandable.

Anyway, we saved just enough room for a No Way Jose! We just can't leave without getting that sundae.

DSC_0305_zpscbb35b0c.jpg

Anything with peanut butter on it is basically perfection to me, the end. So needless to say, I'm a big fan.

We finished up, paid our bill, then headed back to our room to chill out.

While we were hanging out in our room, it suddenly started DOWNPOURING outside... but with oddly blue skies off in the distance? It was weird, but I went outside to get a couple of photos of our lovely view.

DSC_0312_zps6958c0b0.jpg

DSC_0317_2_zps47018033.jpg

I was nervous that the rain wouldn't stop, but like most Florida rain, it did, phew! I didn't want any rain ruining our time at MNSSHP!

We sat around the room for a while to rest because Matt was still feeling really icky. I remembered to pack some cold medicine, because I'm awesome like that, so Matt took some and that helped. We finally decided to start getting ready for the party!

So let's back up for a moment here, to months before our trip to Disney...

When we started thinking about our costumes for MNSSHP, we were kind of all over the place. We kind of wracked our brains for a bit, and for Matt, he figured out pretty quickly that he really wanted to go as Wreck-it Ralph. We're both really huge fans of the movie, and Matt just knew that was who he wanted to be.

Of course, we figured it'd be super easily to put together, that is, until we hit the overalls. My GOODNESS, you would be shocked at the price of brown overalls! It was kind of insane. That and the fact that the brown ones we could find were both not the right color, super expensive, and were insulated. That wasn't going to fly for his costume in the middle of September in Florida. So I suggested we buy white painter's overalls and dye them ourselves.

That in itself ended up being a project in which Matt wasn't in love with, but I thought they turned out awesome.

Matt's outfit seemed like it'd come together, but I thought it was missing one key element... he needed a medal! And so I made him a heart-shaped cookie medal out of Fimo clay. It came out perfect and it made his costume just look... awesome.

wzyLEoD.png

Matt made a most ADORABLE Wreck-it Ralph, if I do say so myself.

DSC_0322_zps46f23ebd.jpg

I, on the other hand, was having a hard time coming up with an idea for a costume. I thought it would be fun to do something Haunted Mansion-related, since it just felt like it'd be wrong for one of us not to do it, seeing how much it means to Matt. But I also didn't want to just go with being a ghost, since I felt like a lot of people did that. I then started thinking about how much Matt loves the creepy wallpaper pattern inside of the mansion, and the eyes that are staring at you... It's also part of one of my favorite Vinylmation I own (appropriately title "Creepy Wallpaper)... But how in the HECK could I pull off a costume that would put me as literally the wallpaper?

I thought about drawing the wallpaper pattern on some cloth, but then started looking around online and came across a website that actually had the creepy wallpaper pattern FABRIC. I couldn't even believe it. It was perfect! So of course, I bought two yards and waited for it to show up to me (mind you, this is like, back in May or something, as I wanted to get an early start on this costume).

The fabric showed up, and I cut it in half because if I was going to wear this as a wallpaper on the front AND on my back, I would need to flip the backside and sew it back on so it would be right-side up. Hopefully that actually makes sense... because re-reading that, I'm confused.

ANYWAY, once I finally finished sewing the fabric, I cut a hole in the neck area so it would fit perfectly. I put it on, but Matt and I agreed that it didn't look right because it just kind of fell off my shoulders. I was not looking very wallpaper-like.

Then Matt came up with a genius idea. He suggested that I buy an extendable curtain rod that I could put through on my shoulders/across my neck, so that it would actually hold up the fabric and display it more like a wallpaper.

Have I told you my husband is a genius? Because he is.

I picked one up at Walmart for $2 and it made the costume look AWESOME.

I didn't want to just settle for the wallpaper on its own... it just seemed like it needed more. So I decided to add in the framed pictures of the Tomb Sweet Tomb and one of the ghosts that you see in the hallway as you go past the creepy doors. This was beyond easy. I just printed them off at Kinko's and bought a couple of really cheap 8x10 frames at Walmart. I then figured I'd just use some rope to hang them on my front and back of the costume.

I was pretty happy at that point with how things were looking... but then, Matt and I thought it would look even cooler if I painted just SOME of the eyes on the fabric with glow in the dark paint. This gave the illusion, whenever I went into a dark area, that the eyes were staring at you, just like on the Haunted Mansion itself.

Needless to say, my costume was done and looking pretty fabulous! It was super easy to pack in my carry-on, and I was so excited to wear it to the party! I had no idea if people would even GET what I was/what I was from, but I knew that the few who got it would probably really like it.

I guess you could consider it as my little homage to Matt and his love for the Haunted Mansion.

And so, yes, I went to MSSHP as the Creepy Wallpaper from the Haunted Mansion... and I'm fairly convinced this is the first time anyone has ever gone to MNSSHP as the actual wallpaper, hahaha.

DSC_0325_zpsf4448986.jpg

DSC_0328_zps9e221e6d.jpg

I'd also bought a bow on etsy, so of course I had to wear that with my outfit!

DSC_0331_zps23bf42b2.jpg

Next, we head off to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party... and get stopped/stared at. A lot.

Continued in next post

Matt makes the perfect Ralph! Seriously- the overalls came out great! :thumbsup2

The fact that you went as the Haunted Mansion wallpaper is insanely hilarious and awesome! Please tell me you got so many compliments! That is a true Disney fan costume! :goodvibes

Omg! The costumes are insanely fabulous! That wallpaper is just sick in the best way possible! I can't wait to hear about the reactions you got!!

Still been reading just not commenting much.

I love this update! Matt's costume looks so exactly right! And yours is so super creative! I can't imagine people wouldn't get it. I hope you got a picture of the eyes glowing. I cant wait to hear about your night at MNSSHP! We are doing it this fall. You guys did a great job coming up with awesome costumes!

OMG. Your costume. You went as the wallpaper. Are you kidding me right now?!? That is FANTASTIC! Wreck it Ralph is pretty darned cute too, but dang girl, I love the wallpaper!

I have been a lurker for years here on the boards...I just wanted to say, I came out of hiding to tell you your costume rocked! I cannot believe how awesome it is! Pure perfection...And, I adore your reports...keep it coming! I am beyond excited anytime I see you have updated! :hyper:

I am totally in love with your costumes!!!

The wallpaper is so creative and turned out so well and Matt makes a great Wreck it Ralph!

Cannot wait to hear about the party!

Of course by stealing you meant "borrowing" right?

Oh God Country Bears is AWESOME!!!! Totally inappropriate songs yet they didn't screw me up as a child and I love them. And BIG AL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's my homie right there.

Haha, I love your balloon shots so much that I started doing 'em myself. Now I can't stop... so thanks! :thumbsup2

I think that if the parade is happening and you're on the other side of the street, you should be allowed into the Utildors.

I'm always TERRIFIED of bad weather for a party night. So glad it stopped for you.

Aww I remember seeing that medal before. So precious.

YAY!!!!!! Even though I did see the costume way back in September, it is really super cool to hear how it all came together. This seriously must have been Matt's dream costume for you.
Plus I can totally see Matt now in Wreck It Ralph: The Musical. "I'm Just Showboatin' Around The World". Hit song... yup, I think so!

I can't wait to hear about the party experience!!

I feel like experiencing the inappropriate Country Bear songs were just getting you ready for all the costumes [or lack there of...] we saw that night.

But your photos are perfect, as per usual, and you know how much I loved y'all's costumes.

Speaking of which, it was totally in March when we were all first brainstorming ideas. Haha we seriously need to look into Overplanners Anonymous.

OMG I know I saw your costumes on twitter when you were actually there, but seeing them again is so awesome. I love handmade costumes, plus anything Disney is obviously the best! I can believe that you are about to get stopped and stared at, cause those costumes are amazing!!! I really want to go to MNSSHP someday, and I think I would do something more obscure like you did rather than dress up like a princess or Minnie, cause there are a lot of those already. But seriously, well done on both your and Matt's costumes!

Also, I never got to reply when you did your Vinylmation trading event, but I learned a lot about them from you. I never had any, I am a pin trader, so I didn't know what all the fuss was about. However, I have to tell you that seeing your collection made me kinda want to get a few, but I never saw any I really wanted online. I was at a mall with a Disney Store he other day though, and they had some Muppet ones left, so I got my first two Vinylmations ever! They are so cute and cool, and now I kinda want more, lol!

I thought you guys couldn't get any cuter - and then you showed us wedding pictures! As a person who has been with my "soul mate" since I was 16, I feel qualified to say that you are perfect for each other. :goodvibes

I was twitter stalking you on your WDW trip so I got to see your costume then - and I have to tell you - it's perfection. I always wonder how people come up with these creative costumes (I am very un-creative) - and you made it SOUND so easy..... Kudos to both you and Matt - you looked great :worship:

As usual, your pictures are so beautiful and they make me so happy!

I saw on your Twitter that you like an Idiot Abroad - one of out favorite shows of all time. Karl cracks us up - the faces he makes are priceless and you never know what's going to come out of his mouth. Plus the fact that Ricky Gervais sets him up on such interesting adventures.....everyone should see this show. I suppose I should actually join Twitter and start following people instead of stalking them :rotfl:

OMG OMG OMG YOUR WEDDING OMG. I looove "how we met" stories. They are always fascinating to me since I've never even had a real boyfriend so I'm like wow, how does that happen LOL! You guys are so cute, I can't. I mean I know I have said that so many times it's borderline creepy, but you really are one of the cutest couples ever! I can't even get over your dress and sunflowers and chucks!!! And Matt's outfit too! You both looked great!! I love unconventional weddings in general. When I see someone doing a by the book, traditional magazine wedding I'm like... okay? I mean, if that's what you TRULY want, fine. But I feel like a lot of those people are faking it and just doing a paint by numbers wedding for the idea of it being perfect. I don't know. You and Matt are the best is my point.

YAY FOR GASTON'S CHAIR!!!!!!!!!!! I have a mild obsession with it. I don't even know why. I just had to sit in it and it was always taken so then in May when I finally did it was some kind of milestone in my life because I'm weird.

OMG THE BAND SCANNER MADE A SPOOKY NOISE? That is so cool oh my god. I'm fine with the whole FP+ thing because I feel like things change and time moves on and Disney will still be Disney so I just try to roll with the punches, but I am very curious to see what it's going to be like when everything straightens out. I am relieved that I have already done all the popular attractions a million times each b/c it does seem like more of a challenge to get on them if it's your once in a lifetime trip and you have like, only a 4 day hopper or something. That part is a bummer.

OMG IS DUFFY WEARING JACK SKELLINGTON SOCKS????????? ahhhh

I'm spoiled too. Usually if the wait is over 15 minutes I'm like BYE.

Nice Mickey earrings! I looove my Disney jewelry. Even people who aren't that into Disney always seem to think it's so cool.

I literally can't believe I haven't been to Beaches & Cream since 2006. What am I doing with my life? Man time flies. I always plan to go back, and then nothing! Next time I should go there straight from the airport LOL.

Your costume ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!! As I have already said. And I'm a high authority on this since I myself am familiar with costumes involving said Mansion. :D Oh man do I miss that night. I can't wait to read about yours!

Back on the boards after my trip and trying to get all caught up.

I LOVE your costumes!!!! You both look amazing!!!

Looking forward to reading all about your experience at the party.

Love all your updates, as usual. :)
