Touring the Tower of Terror and other Ghoulish Delights! Sept 13 TR | FINALx2 4/17!!!

All caught back up. Sorry Matt wasn't feeling the best. As someone who had a BAD day at Disney this past trip, I do know how hard it is to keep going when you would be better off taking a down day. But then you feel bad for putting a damper on someone else's day. Stinks to be under the weather on vacation.

On the flip side, you did seem to have a great morning. I LOVE spending the day at MK on MNSSHP days. Soooo less crowded!!!

Your lunch at B&C looked wonderful!! Really made me want a Bacon Cheeseburger and some Onion Rings for lunch today. :scratchin

Glad the rain stopped so it didn't ruin your party night!

LOVED your costumes. Matt made a great Ralph. And your wallpaper costume is so awesome!!! Fun when you think of an idea and know that you won't see it on everyone else in the park. Can't wait to see how others react!

You ask and I shall delivery. ;) Here are the secrets to getting high scores on Toy Story Mania. It's just unlocking "easter eggs" throughout, giving you more chances to hit higher scoring targets.

http://www.studioscentral.com/toy-story-midway-mania-secrets

Country Bears is the weirdest show, but that's why I love it! It's the inappropriate songs that just make it.

Beaches and Cream is the best! The No Way Jose just wins the prize. Soooooo good.

I'm glad that the cold medicine you picked up helped Matt feel a bit better.

Matt's Wreck it Ralph costume is perfect!

Yeah....your costume is ridiculously amazing. Definitely worth getting stared at I'm sure! ;)

Love the costumes! I hope you guys had fun at MNSSHP. We went for the first time in '12. There were six of us from Toy Story 3. I was Barbie. It was scary ;) I was laughing at your review of Country Bears. We first took the kids in '09 after we (the adults) hadn't been there in eons. They were 3 and 6 at the time and I remember being horrified at some of the words. My kids still sing about blood on the saddle SMH.

Wow, somehow I thought I read these updates, clearly I opened the window and never actually did it! #whoops!

Ahahha I think we had a similar experience with Country Bears, I insisted that we go in, and Mom & Anne laughed hysterically through the whole thing. Lol.

LOVE beaches & cream, and THOSE ONION RINGS!! ARG SO DELICIOUS!! THE DOWNPOUR HAPPENED OVER AT POFQ TOOOOOO!!! I had run down to the foodcourt for lunch with a CM friend after already doing my Tink hair and was seriously worried that it was going to ruin it, ended up getting back to the room late because I was waiting for it to not be hurricaning! Lol!

Obviously I LOVE the costumes you guys went with, both of them are awesome, and the wallpaper is so creative and fantastic and such a great idea! Love that everything worked out for ya!

Can’t wait to read about the party!

I love your Mickey earrings! They're so pretty!

I don't think I've ever seen Country Bears Jamboree... but I think it needs to be added to my list of things to do!

Your costumes are both AH-MAZING! Isn't it great how projects always start off as something small and simple and then you add on a little more and a little more until eventually it's totally perfect? Love it!

Yaaaay party time! My fiance and I are planning on going on our Disneymoon this year, so I can't wait to hear all about it!

What a great 'Matt and Dani Forever' story. Happy 3.425 yr anniversary - at this late date! :) What a perfect Mickey anniversary card from your sweet hubby.

It looks like it was a perfect morning at the park - other than Matt not feeling 100%. Of all the songs that are performed at Country Bear Jamboree, the only one that sticks out in my mind is the one the sassy gal sings about love eluding her - 'all the guys that turn me on turn me down'. Too adorable!

I'm a Beaches & Cream lover as well. Having only been seated at either one of those dinky tables or the counter, I prefer the counter. It has a nostalgic feel to it. And you can take photos of yourself in the mirror! ;)

I'd seen your costume in your trip video but I have to say once again, that is a FABULOUS costume. I can imagine the stares and interest. I'm sure you are in someone's trip photos somewhere! Great job!

Oh lawd, those Country Bears!!! The blood on the saddle song still makes me :confused3:confused3:confused3

Even though I had already seen your costumes, it was really cool to read how you put them both together. They came together so fabulously!! I never would have guessed Matt's overalls were dyed at home. And of course, the medal is just precious. The wallpaper itself was cool enough, but the pictures made it look really amazing! So creative.

Love the costume!! Who knew you could even get the wallpaper as fabric?

Looking forward to hearing more about Beaches and Cream later. We have never been but planned on going on our next trip, but couldn't get an ADR for 2 adults and 3 kids. Now we're planning on the following trip since we won't be taking an extra kid.

I bought my first two vinylmation yesterday. I'm choosing to blame you for this new addiction. :lmao: I'd always been intrigued but never took the time to learn enough about them to feel comfortable getting involved.

On an unrelated note I just started following you on instagram. :thumbsup2

Your costume is epic. Beyond epic. And Matt's is pretty awesome, too!

Little known fact (well, you may know it) - if you go on the Winnie the Pooh ride at DLR and look behind you about 2/3 way thru the ride, you'll see 3 characters from Country Bear Jamboree mounted on the wall above you, as the Pooh ride was built where CBJ used to be.

Thanks for sharing your wedding story. I'm a sap and love those :lovestruc

Your costume, :worship: genius!

Ahh I love your wedding story! Woo!

Oh my goodness, seriously ALL your pictures from that morning are beautiful!

Hahaha yes, Country Bear Jamboree. Interesting stuff. I could barely even hear the lyrics when I saw it that one time. It was all very confusing.

I've said it before, but your costume. Ahhhhh so awesome.

Matt makes the perfect Ralph! Seriously- the overalls came out great! :thumbsup2

The fact that you went as the Haunted Mansion wallpaper is insanely hilarious and awesome! Please tell me you got so many compliments! That is a true Disney fan costume! :goodvibes

I thought he looked awesome and was perfect!

And thank you! Haha, we both got lots of compliments! It was kind of awesome. :thumbsup2

Omg! The costumes are insanely fabulous! That wallpaper is just sick in the best way possible! I can't wait to hear about the reactions you got!!

Thank you so much!! We really went all out for our first time at MNSSHP!

Still been reading just not commenting much.

I love this update! Matt's costume looks so exactly right! And yours is so super creative! I can't imagine people wouldn't get it. I hope you got a picture of the eyes glowing. I cant wait to hear about your night at MNSSHP! We are doing it this fall. You guys did a great job coming up with awesome costumes!

It's okay! But thank you for the compliments on our costumes! I wish I could say I had a photo of the eyes glowing, but I don't. Wompwomp. But they totally did! Especially on rides with a blacklight, haha, though we didn't go on a ton of rides during the party. But thank you!

OMG. Your costume. You went as the wallpaper. Are you kidding me right now?!? That is FANTASTIC! Wreck it Ralph is pretty darned cute too, but dang girl, I love the wallpaper!

Hahaha thank you so much! I am still convinced that no one has ever gone to MNSSHP as the wallpaper, but who knows.

I have been a lurker for years here on the boards...I just wanted to say, I came out of hiding to tell you your costume rocked! I cannot believe how awesome it is! Pure perfection...And, I adore your reports...keep it coming! I am beyond excited anytime I see you have updated! :hyper:

AHH I feel honored that you came out of lurkdom to comment on my TR! Seriously! But thank you so much!! Your comments mean so much to me and keep me writing these TRs, even if they're like writing a new book with every trip, haha.

I love your wallpaper costume. The Ralph costume was great too.

Thank you so much! I thought Matt was a terrific Ralph. :goodvibes

I am totally in love with your costumes!!!

The wallpaper is so creative and turned out so well and Matt makes a great Wreck it Ralph!

Cannot wait to hear about the party!

Thank you so much! We had a really fun time at the party, I'm looking forward to posting all about it!

Of course by stealing you meant "borrowing" right?

Oh God Country Bears is AWESOME!!!! Totally inappropriate songs yet they didn't screw me up as a child and I love them. And BIG AL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's my homie right there.

Haha, I love your balloon shots so much that I started doing 'em myself. Now I can't stop... so thanks! :thumbsup2

I think that if the parade is happening and you're on the other side of the street, you should be allowed into the Utildors.

I'm always TERRIFIED of bad weather for a party night. So glad it stopped for you.

Aww I remember seeing that medal before. So precious.

YAY!!!!!! Even though I did see the costume way back in September, it is really super cool to hear how it all came together. This seriously must have been Matt's dream costume for you.
Plus I can totally see Matt now in Wreck It Ralph: The Musical. "I'm Just Showboatin' Around The World". Hit song... yup, I think so!

I can't wait to hear about the party experience!!

Haha, clearly, borrowing.

Yeah, I love Country Bears! They were fantastic... and totally inappropriate... which made me like them even more.

Disney balloons are just perfect. I'm even considering getting a tattoo of one on my foot. I've been mulling over it for a little while, and of course Matt is trying to convince me I totally need one.

Agreed, utilidors should just be used, clearly.

Yeah, I was VERY nervous about that but thankfully the rain went away! It was good weather, aside from the humidity which did a number on my costume... but we'll get to that later.

Hahaha, I agree, a dancing Ralph would be amazing.

I feel like experiencing the inappropriate Country Bear songs were just getting you ready for all the costumes [or lack there of...] we saw that night.

But your photos are perfect, as per usual, and you know how much I loved y'all's costumes.

Speaking of which, it was totally in March when we were all first brainstorming ideas. Haha we seriously need to look into Overplanners Anonymous.

Haha I think that would be accurate. Some of those costumes were ridiculous.

Oh hey thanks, because we loved yours, too!

AHH you're right! So even sooner than I originally thought. Holy crap. But hey, it worked out because those costumes were kind of a pain to put together... time was needed!

OMG I know I saw your costumes on twitter when you were actually there, but seeing them again is so awesome. I love handmade costumes, plus anything Disney is obviously the best! I can believe that you are about to get stopped and stared at, cause those costumes are amazing!!! I really want to go to MNSSHP someday, and I think I would do something more obscure like you did rather than dress up like a princess or Minnie, cause there are a lot of those already. But seriously, well done on both your and Matt's costumes!

Also, I never got to reply when you did your Vinylmation trading event, but I learned a lot about them from you. I never had any, I am a pin trader, so I didn't know what all the fuss was about. However, I have to tell you that seeing your collection made me kinda want to get a few, but I never saw any I really wanted online. I was at a mall with a Disney Store he other day though, and they had some Muppet ones left, so I got my first two Vinylmations ever! They are so cute and cool, and now I kinda want more, lol!

Thank you so much!! MNSSHP is really a blast, and I'd suggest dressing up as something you feel passionate about... and that's easy to wear/pack, haha. But thank you!

YAY! I've enabled another person to buy Vinylmation! Hahaha. It's so dangerous, and I am so sorry. I love the Muppets they've come out with... so much so, that I own every single Muppets Vinylmation to ever be released. Doooon't mind me, I'm a little addicted.

I thought you guys couldn't get any cuter - and then you showed us wedding pictures! As a person who has been with my "soul mate" since I was 16, I feel qualified to say that you are perfect for each other. :goodvibes

I was twitter stalking you on your WDW trip so I got to see your costume then - and I have to tell you - it's perfection. I always wonder how people come up with these creative costumes (I am very un-creative) - and you made it SOUND so easy..... Kudos to both you and Matt - you looked great :worship:

As usual, your pictures are so beautiful and they make me so happy!

I saw on your Twitter that you like an Idiot Abroad - one of out favorite shows of all time. Karl cracks us up - the faces he makes are priceless and you never know what's going to come out of his mouth. Plus the fact that Ricky Gervais sets him up on such interesting adventures.....everyone should see this show. I suppose I should actually join Twitter and start following people instead of stalking them :rotfl:

Aww, thanks! We are very happy together, and I knew from the moment I met him we'd be together for the long haul. I just knew.

Thank you so much! I don't even know how that idea happened... or well, I just tried to think of things that were different but specific to Disney parks. It just kind of grew from there!

Oh man, we JUST finished An Idiot Abroad and I'm kind of sad! That show has made us laugh so hard. I LOVE Karl, even though he really is an idiot, hahaha. Join twitter and follow me! I will follow back! I love posting my random thoughts on there, hahaha.

OMG OMG OMG YOUR WEDDING OMG. I looove "how we met" stories. They are always fascinating to me since I've never even had a real boyfriend so I'm like wow, how does that happen LOL! You guys are so cute, I can't. I mean I know I have said that so many times it's borderline creepy, but you really are one of the cutest couples ever! I can't even get over your dress and sunflowers and chucks!!! And Matt's outfit too! You both looked great!! I love unconventional weddings in general. When I see someone doing a by the book, traditional magazine wedding I'm like... okay? I mean, if that's what you TRULY want, fine. But I feel like a lot of those people are faking it and just doing a paint by numbers wedding for the idea of it being perfect. I don't know. You and Matt are the best is my point.

YAY FOR GASTON'S CHAIR!!!!!!!!!!! I have a mild obsession with it. I don't even know why. I just had to sit in it and it was always taken so then in May when I finally did it was some kind of milestone in my life because I'm weird.

OMG THE BAND SCANNER MADE A SPOOKY NOISE? That is so cool oh my god. I'm fine with the whole FP+ thing because I feel like things change and time moves on and Disney will still be Disney so I just try to roll with the punches, but I am very curious to see what it's going to be like when everything straightens out. I am relieved that I have already done all the popular attractions a million times each b/c it does seem like more of a challenge to get on them if it's your once in a lifetime trip and you have like, only a 4 day hopper or something. That part is a bummer.

OMG IS DUFFY WEARING JACK SKELLINGTON SOCKS????????? ahhhh

I'm spoiled too. Usually if the wait is over 15 minutes I'm like BYE.

Nice Mickey earrings! I looove my Disney jewelry. Even people who aren't that into Disney always seem to think it's so cool.

I literally can't believe I haven't been to Beaches & Cream since 2006. What am I doing with my life? Man time flies. I always plan to go back, and then nothing! Next time I should go there straight from the airport LOL.

Your costume ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!! As I have already said. And I'm a high authority on this since I myself am familiar with costumes involving said Mansion. :D Oh man do I miss that night. I can't wait to read about yours!

Hahaha, I love hearing people's "how we met" stories, too! But thank you so much Lia. It's not creepy, it just makes me really happy! And oh my GOSH THANK YOU for getting the whole wedding thing! We wanted a wedding that people would leave and think, "That was SO Matt and Dani!" And I feel like we pulled it off. People told us how much they loved our wedding and how it was so us. But I agree, my favorite weddings have been the ones where I leave feeling like I got to know the couple even better because so much of them came through in the details and the wedding as a whole. Weddings are stressful to plan, but it was worth it. I mean, I loved our wedding, I did, but I'm glad it's over. By the time we got around to it, I was more excited about being married to Matt than anything else, haha.

I was so surprised and happy to see that Gaston's chair was free to sit in! So obviously we both sat in it. It was pretty awesome.

YES! It did! I swear it did, and people probably think I'm just crazy. But I think the FP+ will ultimately be okay. It's going to take time... but I understand why they've moved off from the old FP system. I mean, think about how many families went to Disney for the first time and didn't know anything about FPs and how they work, and in turn, missed out on Fast Passes... by doing it this way, it makes it way more fair to everyone visiting the parks, NOT just the people who knew about to play the FP game.

My only issue with it right now is it's pretty much useless to be a park hopper at the moment with FP+ since you're limited to 3 FPs for one park per day. I have heard they will probably change this down the line, so who knows what will happen, but that is kind of a bummer since we loved park hopping. I guess worst case scenario, we spend more time wandering the parks and less time on rides... and the more I go to Disney parks, the more i'm okay with that.

I think he was! He was so adorable.

I'm glad you understand me and my spoiled "I'm not waiting 20 minutes, nope, bye." attitude.

I agree! I always get a ton of compliments on my earrings, like people are baffled Mickey earrings exist that are super pretty, haha. It's weird. People are weird.

Next trip, straight to Beaches and Cream. I will be reading your TR very closely to ensure that this happens.

AHHHH thanks! If only we'd both been at MNSSHP together... just sayin'.

Back on the boards after my trip and trying to get all caught up.

I LOVE your costumes!!!! You both look amazing!!!

Looking forward to reading all about your experience at the party.

Love all your updates, as usual. :)

YAY! I hope your trip was wonderful!

Thank you so much, I'm excited to share our night with you guys!

LOVED your costumes. Matt made a great Ralph. And your wallpaper costume is so awesome!!! Fun when you think of an idea and know that you won't see it on everyone else in the park. Can't wait to see how others react!

Oh man, back in 2012, the same thing happened to me as Matt. I came down with a cold after pushing through 4 parks in one day... and it was so hard to keep myself going. It's just kind of the worst when you get sick in Disney, which happened to our poor friends Bruce and Amy, too.. Nothing is worse.

We did have a lovely morning though! We didn't push things too hard, which was good.

B&C is the best. I would love to be eating there right at this moment!

The rain stayed away, thank goodness!! I would have been sad if it rained during the party.

Thank you! We just rocked it out with costumes and had fun with it. :) It was fun to be there looking unique, for sure.

Matt's Wreck it Ralph costume is perfect!

Yeah....your costume is ridiculously amazing. Definitely worth getting stared at I'm sure! ;)

YES! I will be reading this and studying to ensure I beat Matt during our next trip!

Country Bears is ridiculous but amazing because it's so out of control and random, hahaha. Totally agreed.

B&C is something we will never miss when we're in Disney World. It's always a must-do for us!

Yeah, it definitely helped, though it still wasn't fun for him to be so sick. His sinuses were all stuffed. :( But he hung in there like a true champ!

And thank you! Our costumes seemed to be big hits which was awesome. Definitely made all of the work we put into them worth it.

Can’t wait to read about the party!

It's okay! You've read them now, yay! Hahaha that was my exact reaction to Country Bears... I died.

That downpour was out of control. I was just so happy it stopped before the party, phew!

Aww thanks! It did work out well, thank goodness. I'm excited to post about the party!

Thank you! I just have problems making sure I don't lose them. Whoooops.

You have to see it at least once. It's a total must-do, and you will find it hilarious because it's just absurd. If you're ever in need of a break in the AC, it's worth seeing.

THANK YOU! That is exactly what happened with my outfit... it just kind of went from there and totally worked out!

YAY! You're going to have a blast! I'll get to whether or not we are planning on going next trip in my future updates, but I'd highly suggest dressing up for your first time!

Aww thank you so much! :goodvibes It was the perfect card from Matt that day and made me so happy.

Hahaha, I'm so with you on that song! It just had me dying, she was so sassy on her little swing! Sassafrass.

I agree, I enjoyed sitting at the counter! Though usually we are able to land a table or a booth, which is nice, too. The dinky tables I don't think I've ever sat at... but I loved sitting at the counter!

Thank you again! I got some fabulous responses to my costume, haha.

It's a confusing show, I must say, but I still love it!

I thought it would be kind of fun to explain how we made our costumes and I mean, they DID take a lot of work... but totally worth it!

I'm glad you said that about Matt's overalls because he felt like they didn't look brown but rather purple. They were a pain to dye, haha. But yeah, I don't think I can really ever top that costume in future parties!

:thumbsup2

Thank you! And I know! I just googled it and wham, I found it! It was amazing.

Beaches and Cream is awesome... BUT you can't make reservations for it AND you have to show up at an off-time unless you want to wait a very, very long time. It's such a small place to eat, and it's popular, so in turn, it can be hard to get a seat in there sometimes (as I'll get to later). But definitely give it a shot! I'd suggest eating a little earlier at like 11:30 or around 3:30ish, as less people tend to be there during that time.

HAHAHA! I have created a Vinylmation monster! Mwahaha, I'm sorry. I hope you got good ones! I'm also selling a whole bunch of mine on instagram, in case you're looking for any specific ones!

Thank you so much!!

And oh my gosh, we had known about that secret and went on Winnie the Pooh during our November DLR trip... and we saw them! It was actually kind of creepy, hahaha, just seeing them all staring at us! But I loved that they kept that nod since they had replaced CBJ with Winnie the Pooh.

Thanks for sharing your wedding story. I'm a sap and love those :lovestruc

Your costume, :worship: genius!

Aww I'm glad you enjoyed our story! I thought people might want to hear since I always love learning more about people on the DIS. :goodvibes

And thank you! It's my best costume I've ever come up with!

Thanks Marissa!

Hahaha, I'd imagine that would be crazy confusing if you couldn't understand the lyrics. But once you hear them... you'll never look at that show the same way.

Thank you! I was pretty proud of my costume and was so excited to finally wear it!

Yeah, so I'm kind of a horrible friend for being this far behind. I literally dropped off the face of the Dis planet for a long time there. I went through and read all I've missed, and wow...I just miss you guys so much! We've never met anyone who treats our wild crew like you do. I'm just so happy we're friends. (Sappy moment over, I promise! )

Also, kudos to you for a sneaky BBB shot. I really had no clue you were there before I found you. Bravo, lady!

I'm not going to comment on all the updates since there were so many, but I promise I'm going to be a better friend and better DISer now and read them as they come up. And if I don't notice, your stalker Brandon will and he'll make sure I read right away.:thumbsup2

Chapter 38: Did I just get Twitter props and featured on a blog? YEP.
Day Seven: September 17th, 2013

So once we were ready, Matt and I headed out from our room in our costumes at around 4 or so, and headed down for the bus stop.

We honestly got the most RIDICULOUS stares from people at the stop! We were legitimately the only people in the bus stop area dressed up in full costumes. It was remarkably awkward, but I didn't even care, hahaha. Unfortunately the bus also took its sweet time to pick us up, but once we were on, we got there pretty quickly.

While on the bus, I think a family finally commented on our costumes and asked about the party. I was kind of surprised that out of everyone who was going to MK on the bus, we were the only ones dressed up.

But we got off our awkward bus ride, got our MNSSHP wristbands on, and we were ready to roll!

20130917_163911_zps1bd471ea.jpg

As we walked in through the train tunnel, a lady stopped me and complimented my costume, then asked if she could take my photo. It totally made me happy! Thanks, lady, for starting off the party on the right foot.

Once we got into the park, our very first stop was to get our Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom MNSSHP-exclusive card. This was ESPECIALLY important to Matt because it was a Haunted Mansion card.

The line was somewhat long, but it moved pretty quickly, and we weren't really in much of a rush since we had plenty of time before the party began.

We got our cards and they looked awesome!

20130917_165626_zps3a22ef22.jpg

On our way out, we actually spotted Danni and Johnny, which was perfect timing. They were dressed up as Vannelope and Fix-it Felix, so they obviously looked fabulous with Matt (photo to come here in a bit). I kind of looked like the weirdo in our group being all non-Wreck-it Ralph, BUT WHO CARES.

We all decided to head down Main Street, but of course I wanted to stop and get a photo of Matt and me together!

We needed some coffee to fuel us through the evening, so Starbucks was clearly our first stop. Matt and I both ordered iced vanilla lattes... and I have to say, it was kind of awkward to drink my coffee with the costume on, but I made it work. Even Creepy wallpapers need their caffeine.

20130917_170822_zps124f7d0d.jpg

We stopped again for another photo, because I wanted one on my phone, and I thought we looked pretty cute together.

As a group, we decided the PeopleMover sounded fun, so off we went to ride the loveliest ride in the land.

I got this cute photo of Matt...

But then told him his hair needed a little more Ralph-stylin', so he made it all crazy, which then resulted in this photo, which KILLS ME. The photobomb from Danni is out of control hilarious, hahahhaaha.

DSC_0333_2_zps7b726096.jpg

And yes, some of you noticed that Danni is also photobombing Matt in the background of our video when we're on the PeopleMover. No, she was not some random girl, it was our friend being hilarious. Though let's be honest, a random person doing that probably would be equally funny.

And no, the absurd photos of Danni and Johnny did not stop there... they never stop..

DSC_0334_zps6de25a67.jpg

The PeopleMover was true perfection, as it always is.

We left the PeopleMover and decided to head over to the Haunted Mansion.

On our way, I made us all stop for a second so I could get a photo of Matt, Johnny, and Danni all together as the Wreck-it Ralph gang!

They were quite adorable, no? I thought so.

We got to the Haunted Mansion and of course, took a photo of me out front.

file_zpsab971fde.jpg

We saw a very short line to get our PhotoPass taken with the ghost in the carriage, so we hopped in that line, and the photo turned out fabulous. I was SO excited that we were able to get these special photos, because they rule. I just wish they weren't only available during the parties.

file_zpsccd224bb.jpg

After we got our photos taken, we headed onto the Haunted Mansion, which was great. A LOT of people commented on my costume while we were in there, haha, especially after we got off and were walking outside.

Unfortunately on our way out, some kid threw up ALL over himself and his Dad like... right in front of us. It was pretty gross but I also just felt bad for the kid and his Dad. That's never a fun situation...

Anyway, we got through icky town and out near the pet cemetery area.

file_zpsdafa3e1c.jpg

On our way out, I saw a Haunted Mansion CM all dressed up and thought it'd be awesome get a photo with him.... and as you can see below, I'm not very good at making serious faces, hahahaha. I should have just smiled.

file_zps1a963940.jpg

We were ready for some dinner, and Casey's Corner was the plan, so we all headed on over there. It was pretty busy, so I told Matt I'd go and try to get us a table while he got us our food. While I was waiting and standing, trying to be all ninja-like (you guys know how I roll), a few people came over to me and asked if they could take a photo of me in my costume. THEN another lady told me she wanted to get video of me for her blog, so I was all cool with that, haha. A few weeks after our trip, people started telling me they saw me in the video, seen here:

http://youtu.be/vA-vSmInW_M?t=2m38s (I put the video right at the part I'm in it, haha, so go check it out).

It was kind of cool to be asked for photos and video and all that. In fact, someone had live-tweeted about seeing my costume at the party, and my friend Steph saw the tweet and was like "THAT'S MY FRIEND DANI!" It made the time I put into the costume SO worth it! I was happy people actually understood what I was from.

Anyway, Matt finally came over with our food, and I was super stoked about corn doggy nugnugs!

file_zpsab07f706.jpg

Matt even let me take a photo of him being a creepy Ralph, hahaha.

file_zps96031a83.jpg

We finished up our food, but I was running into a problem with my costume.

So when I created my costume, I super glued AND taped on the string to the photo frames for my costume because there are no little hangers on the frame. But even still, I was thinking there was NO way they would fall apart...

Until we had to deal with the Florida humidity, WOMPWOMP. One of the strings on the front of my costume just would NOT stick in place. I was bummed because I wanted to still wear my costume all around since the party had barely begun. My bright mind thought, "Okay, who would have tape? First Aid!" So I went to the First Aid right next to Crystal Palace while everyone waited for me.

The ladies in there were so nice! They tried their best to help out, but unfortunately didn't have any tape... but they DID have sticky gauze which we stuck on there, hahaha. It was cute how much they wanted to help me out. It kind of worked, but unfortunately the string just didn't want to stay, so I kind of had to sometimes hold the frame while walking around to prevent it from breaking off.

Chapter 39: Storybook Treats IS A LIE... I just want my ice cream.
Day Seven: September 17th, 2013

So at this point, it was around 6:30 or so, and Danni suggested that we go hop in line to meet Winnie the Pooh and friends in costume, since that was a priority for all of us. So off we went to Fantasyland!

file_zps7e877a5d.jpg

file_zps5058505b.jpg

We found the line and were maybe 4th in line, but we just hung around and chatted. People came over to us and really loved Matt, Danni and Johnny's Wreck-it Ralph costumes, which was awesome.

Then out of nowhere, that CM that I'd met over at Test Track who was going to be Russell found us! I was so happy since she was so nice. She really loved our costumes, and I equally loved hers and her friend's costume. There was a guy behind us with the Up Castle shirt, so I had them all get in a photo for me, haha.

file_zps15160d50.jpg

We said goodbye to them, and then kind of stood around and chatted. It's always nice when you have friends who you can just chat with about anything and it makes the time go by so much faster while you're waiting! My friend Catelyn who is a CM ALSO ran into us, as she was working, and it was nice to see her since it'd been a long time.

Anyway, since we were just standing around and waiting... This of COURSE this meant taking random photos of each other, too... which I KNOW Rob just loves seeing in my TRs, hahaha.

This is my "heeyyyy what are you dooooing Mr. Magoo?" look.

file_zpseef38e01.jpg

file_zps1478574d.jpg

HAHA totally just noticed the little nugget in the photo above dressed as Mike Wazowski.

The characters came out a little late at around 7:30, but who cares?! They were so adorable anyway.

file_zpsbe88cf69.jpg

After not very long, it was our turn to meet the gang and oh my GOSH they were SO CUTE! HUGS FOR EVERYONE!

file_zpse2f8a543.jpg

file_zpse3c8502d.jpg

file_zpscf1480d6.jpg

It was totally worth the wait, I adore our photo with them so, so much.

file_zps02ce5bef.jpg

file_zps6de8881b.jpg

Danni and Johnny got their turn and Tigger was just a wild Pirate, haha. It was super cute.

file_zps1e687d28.jpg

After we met them, Jenn and her family came over and found us and said hi! It was so good to see them. I won't reveal their costumes, I'll let Jenn save that for her TR update, but it was really cute. We decided we really wanted Candy Corn ice cream, so we split up from Jenn since they were going to do some character meets and I believe the Villains show, too. Brynn really wanted to meet Cruella, I think.

So the MNSSHP map said the ice cream was at Storybook Treats.. and we took this to mean it was over at Storybook Circus, so we headed over there. We searched and searched, asked a CM, and no one had any idea where we were going. So we walked around the Circus and had no such luck, but then a couple of people ran over to me and asked if we could get a photo together... and I was BEYOND excited for one with them!

file_zps22fc6c6e.jpg

How awesome is that?! Haha, it was a good photo opportunity... plus their costumes ruled.

Anyway, we realized that this was the wrong place and finally figured out that Storybook Treats was right back over next to Winnie the Pooh... where we'd just been.. HAHAHA.

file_zpsd3993b23.jpg

I decided to order the Candy Corn ice cream, while Matt went with a twist cone... and I proceeded to turn and ram part of my costume into his ice cream cone, hahaha. This was a common theme throughout the night... Knocking into people accidentally with the curtain rod.

file_zps0264f791.jpg

This was my Candy Corn ice cream, that I was super excited about.

file_zpse893ba58.jpg

So then I sat down and ate it and realized it was literally just vanilla ice cream... with candy corn at the bottom of it, hahaha. Wompwomp. I was kind of disappointed, but Disney ice cream is super tasty, so it was okay with me! Well, aside from the fact that the candy corn had gotten rock hard by the time I got to eat it... BUT ANYWAY.

After we finished up our ice cream, we headed over to the Haunted Mansion, as Matt was VERY excited to see it during in the dark at MNSSHP. Let me just say that it did NOT disappoint.

But before we get to that, we hopped in line to get a special PhotoPass photo taken with Matt's favorite Hitchhiking Ghosts... and needless to say, this was one of our favorite photos of the entire trip!

file_zps1fabc00e.jpg

I mean, how cool, right? We're all BFFs noawadays. I even chatted with Gus about his ball and chain accessory and where I could get one. They told us to come back and visit them again soon, which, you know, we will.

THEN we turned the corner and saw the Haunted Mansion looking AMAZINGLY spooky and creepy for the Halloween party.

file_zps2bf32173.jpg

file_zps29f54ecf.jpg

Madame Carlotta was sitting outside of the mansion, chatting away with guests as they walked through the queue. We opted to just hang around and watch her talk to people.

She was absolutely HYSTERICAL. I mean seriously, this lady was amazingly funny. She had everyone cracking up and was SO on her game and just perfect. I can't even begin to describe it, but we sat there and listened to her talk to people for a while.

file_zpsa333081f.jpg

She left, as her sister was going to come out in a bit, so I took a few photos of the Mansion while we were hanging out. I was so mad at myself (still am) for not bringing my better lens and using a kit lens this night. My photos just weren't what I'd wanted, but I still got a few decent ones!

file_zps9f050e72.jpg

file_zps35188fac.jpg

We left the Haunted Mansion so we could go find a good spot to watch HalloWishes and the Boo to You Parade from.

Next, we finally get to try the most anticipated MNSSHP treat... and then my mind is blown by HalloWishes.

Continued in next post

I am still in awe of your costumes. Still. I had no idea about you going to First Aid, though! :rotfl2: I knew the pictures were giving you problems, but somehow missed that part of the story! They are always very helpful in there, and I'm sure they've had stranger requests!

Speaking of First Aid, ugh, poor little sick boy at the party! Trust me, I feel his pain. Losing your lunch at MNSSHP is about the worse place that it can happen. I just want to give him a big hug...ya know, now that he's cleaned up and stuff...been there, done that, buddy!

I'm not surprised so many people wanted pictures with you/videos of you. It has to be one of the most creative costumes ever.

Danni and Johnny's photobombing is superb. They've taken it to the next level. I love how their costumes matched Matt's.

Two words: FAKE. CHEESE. :cool1:

I'm glad we got to see you, at least for a bit, that night. And you have a great memory--Brynn most certainly was on a mission to meet Cruella! And thanks to Danni telling us where to get in line, we were able to do just that!

I had a much better party experience this year than the year we were trying to erase from our memories, and you guys are a part of why!

Haha, I've heard so many stories about people in costume being the only ones at the bus stop in full costume. I say just go with it. They're the oddballs in this scenario.

Oh man the Wreck It Ralph gang looks so great. Funny that the treat bag from 2012 was... Wreck It Ralph before anybody knew who they were.

I LOVE THE HAUNTED MANSION PARTY CM'S!!! They just look so ghoulish. So great.

Curious, how did riding things work with your costume??

Haha, that's so cool that you were in a video!!!!!

OK so is she like the bird from FotLK???? Because, that's awesome!

HAHAHAHAHA YES!!!! This is me during all random photos...

excitedguy.gif

Awww I adore the Pooh gang costumes!! They may be my fav character outfits of all. I mean c'mon, POOH IS DRESSED AS TIGGER!!

Oh I could easily just watch Madame Carlotta and be thoroughly entertained. Just so funny.

DSC_0334_zps6de25a67.jpg

I DIDNT KNOW THIS PICTURE EXISTED.

omg. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA.

I don't even have words for this update, because I am just so blown away by our super attractive faces.

Darn that Florida humidity! It ruins hair and costumes! I'm glad that the CMs at First Aid were so helpful, even if their fix didn't last. It's totally the thought that counts! :)

OOoooooooOOOOOOH! I didn't know there were special PP spots during MNSSHP! Tucking away that little nugget of knowledge for future reference...

Candy on ice cream is no fun because it's always hard! It's a good thought because candy is good and ice cream is good, but there's some technical difficulties when they combine. Sad panda.
