Touring the Tower of Terror and other Ghoulish Delights! Sept 13 TR | FINALx2 4/17!!!

SO APPARENTLY I MISSED LIKE FOUR HUNDRED UPDATES.

Do you know what's crazy?!
All I could think about on my way home from work were those milkshakes, and how I have Baileys Mudslide in the fridge!

Matt was SO excited about the noises his jacket made, and I cannot blame him! He also reminded me that today is TWO MONTHS until PNW hangs!

Oh my gosh, with the holidays and life stuff, I got so far behind! I started getting caught up last night, and after about two updates I thought "I really missed these two", which I know is weird since we don't know each other :goodvibes

Thank you so much for the Vinylmation 101 lesson! I had no idea there were so many ins and outs - I may have to check into it more.

Loved your picture in the elevator at the Villas - you two are so cute together!

I was so far behind, so there's just too much to comment on - but as usual, I love your writing style, sense of humor, and of course your gorgeous pictures :worship:

DH and I got to go to Disneyland two weeks ago for one day. It was glorious!! We were in San Diego for a long weekend, and I casually mentioned that DL was only 70 miles away - and he agreed we should go! First time without the boys, but we had so much fun. My DH is a total ride wimp, but I finally got him to try Indy and he loved it - except for the "huge drop" at the end - um.........what drop? Of course, this is from the guy who thinks the People Mover is a thrill ride....

We are starting to talk about a trip to WDW in late November, and based on your trip reports, we are really thinking about staying at Beach Club or OKW. We usually do Wilderness Lodge but I want to try something new.

So excited for a new trip report and at halloween so excited!!!! Btw I'm crazy4stitch but due to someone hacking my account and changing password I had to pull up a new account t so.... Here I am littlechef

I love me some disney villains what an awesome night to be there. Hope to one make it there during halloween

I have to say some part of me is extremely jealous that you were there on Friday the 13 and at halloween time. A disney villan is about the scariest thing I can put up. I LOVE ME SOME DISNEY VILLIANS!!!

Ugghh...sorry your service was craptastic. I know from your previous TRs how much you like Raglan Rd. (every time I see the bread pudding in your pics I swear we are going to lunch there on our next trip) and it's always such a bummer when a place you love to eat lets you down! Hopefully next time you'll have a good server.

Oh World of Disney how I could wander your many confusing rooms for hours! I love Matt's hoodie and that you have the Woody one...too cute!

I will definitely be checking out Basin this time. Somehow I always end up skipping over it and then kicking myself later. I think the way we enter DTD (usually from the West Side boat dock from OKW) makes it outside my line of vision and therefore I forget. Or....it could just be my laser-like focus on Ghirardelli that makes everything else fade into the background (oh cookie-bottom sundae, why have thou abandoned us?)

Joben (my DH and another avid reader of your TRs) just sent me a message via Skype asking me what the ice cream place is called in France (that I'm now obsessed with) because he wanted to mention it when he commented on your TR. I told him I was already in the midst of doing so (apparently we are both slacking due to the 2 PM doldrums and catching up on our DIS subscriptions while at work) and that I would mention it.

Anywho, I'm sure you know but if you haven't yet, you need to check out L'Artisan des Glaces. Two words -Croque Glace. Just do it.

It's all good! I mean, the food is so good that I'll let the bad service slide, but it's kind of disappointing when that happens! We'll be back of course though.

WoD is the best. And yeah, we totally wear them together. We did on Halloween and even Christmas, haha. Here's Halloween:

ScreenShot2014-01-27at34901PM_zpsafaf903c.png

DEFINITELY GO TO BASIN! It's kind of pricey, but so worth it. I was stuck in Vegas last week (don't get me started on that terrible trip), and one of the highlights of the trip was getting to go to Basin White there! It made me happy. But don't worry, the Basin in DTD is like tucked away, so I always skipped it, too. Basin White in the Grand Floridian is where I really discovered it! AND COOKIE BOTTOM SUNDAE IS SUCH A SAD STORY. I can't even talk about it.

Matt and I are definitely going to get ice cream in France during our next trip, not even a question!

I'm still at work but I needed to crank out some responses so I can get an update done here soon!

OMG I was in Vegas last weekend and went to the Basin inside Miracle Mile! I had remembered how you said this place was awesome, so I dragged my bf in there and came out with all the essentials (and he bought some stuff too lol). I don't think it's as large but the staff there is amazing!

In one of your previous TRs you said the shampoo/conditioner bars were magicial..boy you weren't lying! Thanks for the recommendation.

YES! That's exactly where we went and it was one of the highlights of the trip for me! It's so good. Definitely not as big as the one in DTD, but similar in size to the one at Grand Floridian. It's so good. I stocked up in Vegas to hold me over until September!

I'm glad you love the bars as much as I do! I just bought more in Vegas, so excited. They smell amazing.

Raglan Road is a fantastic place to eat. Bites your service wasn't so good!

I see tickers in your signature!! Did I miss them before?!?
You will be in DL when I am in WDW lol!

Yeah it is! I just wish the service had been better!

Nope, they're pretty brand new actually! I just had to use the boring small ones, haha. Are you talking about the April trip?! I'm excited, it should be fun to go when it's not all decorated for Christmas!

I do hope to one day check out Disney Quest if for no other reason than the completest in me to see and do everything. But it's not really at or near the top of that list just yet. But then, I'm not an arcade type. Splitsville does sound cool though. I guess I'm more of a "do" as opposed to "pretend to do" type which probably explains why I'm not a great fan of simulator rides.

I was thinking the same thing and I wasn't even there but from the first photos Raglan didn't look busy at all. Not good waiter boy. At least the food was good I guess. So thumbs up AND thumbs down.

OMG that's too funny that you ran into Jenn and team and they didn't even know it.

OOOOOOOO Off Property. This should be... Interesting!!!!

Yeah, it's just one of those things that you can pop into if you're passing by it.. but definitely not a must-do whatsoever!

No, he wasn't a very good waiter. But the food is SO good that it outweighs the bad service. That's how much I love it there.

Haha I know! I was just walking and saw the kids in the BBB! Too cute.

Oh trust me, it's interesting... kind of? No, not really. I do not want to go off-property again for a while, hahaha.

Somehow I missed an update--must have been when I wasn't on much since WE WERE AT DISNEY! Sorry-just had to get that out of my system. From readin your TRs I knew to be prepared for the tour groups in January--thanks for the heads up!! :thumbsup2

Anyway--we've never been to OKW but your pictures are beautiful! I think it's definitely a place I could stay and be happy! I can see why it's your "home"!

What the what was up with the bus driver? That is crazy! I feel for Matt--I hate when you get stuck in those situations. I never understand how the other person doesn't pick up on the uncomfortable body language.....

Matt's hair!! The bored faces!! Another ride photo I love!!

All the pics from raglan road look delicious!! That shepards pie is killing me! We may have to check that oh sometime!

I love the villian ears! Our youngest is very into malifcent, lady tremaine, drizella and Anastasia right now. We saw a girl going into the park one night of our trip totally dressed like malificent and Madison just stared at her. I thought she'd like those ears but she didn't want any. Kids!

It's okay, I kind of stuck one in there... plus, ya know, you were in DISNEY WORLD. So jealous! I'm glad the TG heads up worked out for you. They're a weebit annoying in January!

OKW is AWESOME. Seriously, I love it there!

She was so weird, hahaha, poor Matt got stuck listening to her. It was so awkward.

Hahaha, that's just how we roll. We're the cool kids.

RR is SO good. YOU MUST GO. Trust me.

Those Villains ears were so awesome! I thought it was neat they made some new ones! That's funny that she didn't want any ears. Kids are kind of hysterical. :rotfl:

What a great time at dtd!! I have never been to Disney Quest, I'm sure I'll head over there sometime in the future, but it's never been my main point of interest lol.

That koala's cute, but definitely not a keeper! Lol.

Awwe, how awesome that you ran into/met up with Jen & the fam again, you guys certainly saw a lot of each other this trip, the kids look adorable!!

Yay Basin!! I'm so sad their lotion is so expensive, and the toner doesn't come in bigger bottles! I bought one in Dec, and it's pretty much gone now! :(

Haha yeah, it's just okay. It's kind of dark in there and weird, but I could see going there on a rainy day!

Koala was indeed cute, but he had to go!

I know! We just kept running into them, it was too funny! The kids were adorable.

Basin is the BEST. I stock up whenever I can. I just did in Vegas and should be okay until September!

I just totally binged on your TR and now I'm all caught up! Vinalymation seems pretty fascinating. I always look at them in the stores but I have never bought one before. I just might next time. One question though, what is up with the all solid black ones? I think I saw those in one of your collection shots.

Beach club looks soooo gorgeous. I love that you could see SSE from your room!

That sucks that you had so much trouble with your MB's. Ugh, I totally would have been fed up at 1:00 in the am too. Luckily when I was there in October (staying at Movies) my MB worked fine. I guess they had some glitches worked out by then!

Mmmm the bread pudding and shepard's pie look soo delish.

Looking forward to next update! :goodvibes

-Amanda :cutie:

YAY!! Glad you caught up! Vinylmation are totally fun to collect! Buuuut I'm not sure which all black one you mean? I don't think there are any... except there is one that is black with a zipper (from their Urban series), and then there is the black one with a question mark they have in stores. Maybe you saw a darker one that looked black in my collection?

Beach Club is perfect.

Yeah it was a MEGA bummer, but then once it worked, we liked it!

Everything at RR is amazing!!

Loving this report so far :goodvibes I'm glad I'm not the only one who lives odd ibuprofen at Disney. I literally had to take it at night before bed because I was waking up in the middle of the night from leg cramps.

Awesome, glad you're here and loving it.. Ibuprofen is all that gets me through our trips! Without it, I wouldn't be able to get out of bed and walk, hahaha. Disney really kicks the crap out of you!

Looks like you had a good time at DTD in spite of the poor service. The food looked wonderful. We've never eaten at Raglan Road.

Fun time shopping. DS and I have the Samsung Galaxy phones, though and really wished Disney had a better selection of android cases. Very disappointing for us.

The kids looked so cute all fixed up.

I was trying to remember if I'd ever been to DQ.If so, it was years and years ago (like when they charged $25 for the day), and must not have been impressed as I have never had the urge to check it out the past 10 years. :rolleyes1

Looking forward to reading about the rest of your evening.

We did! RR is awesome though, despite the poopy service.

I am so with you on the lack of Galaxy cases, which is what we have! It's lame... BUT my suggestion, check out society6 online. They have AWESOME cases and even Disney ones. They're beautiful. I have a Tangled one on my phone right now, and Matt has a Haunted Mansion one!

Haha DQ is definitely not worth spending extra money on, but if it's in my AP, I guess I can stop by! It's a bit outdated though, honestly.

Great update! :)

Thanks!

Dani my DW pretty much summed it up so let me just say great update. oh I loved the dead pan photo on the ride, you guys are so funny

Aww thanks! I love both of your comments on my TR, they are always wonderful! :goodvibes

This is going to sound super strange Dani, but I totally had a dream with you in it the other night! I don't know why that happened, as I usually only dream about my family, or work, or people I know in real life, ya know? But anyways, I dreamed that you told me you were pregnant. I was really, really happy for you and Matt, and thought you would have the luckiest kid ever. :rotfl2:

HAHAHA this made me laugh out loud! That's so funny. No babies here for me quite yet, but I do think if we have kids, they'll be pretty lucky with yearly trips to Disney! They'll be growing up Disney, that's for sure, hahaha.

I somehow got super behind over here! Silly me. I'm loving all these EPCOT resort pictures, as usual!

Looks like a fun morning at DHS! I'm glad y'all finally got to see One Man's Dream! That exhibit really is so inspiring, huh?

The non-Disney vinylmation really confuse me, to be honest. Like what is the point of those? Koalas are cool, but just super random in the context of a Disney collection. Hahah.

Glad y'all had a nice lunch despite the crazy slow service! I really need to make it over there one of these days!

Don't ever worry about it, I'm behind in everything because my life is just insane right now. Dumb Vegas cutting in my free time, haha.

Epcot resorts are the best. I love BC so much.

DHS was a good time, and we loved One Man's Dream! It really is so inspirational.

No I SO agree with you on non-Disney Vinylmation! They make no sense. But thankfully it sounds like they'll stop making those. THANK GOODNESS! They've been filling up the trade boxes with just totally crappy Vinylmation.

Lunch was fabulous, I hope you can get over and have lunch there at some point. It's so good.

Those caramel apple...yum! I bought one for the first time on my last trip and now I'm hooked. I will gladly shell out $10 for an apple because Disneyeconomics knows no logic!?!?:confused3

Raglan roads looks pretty tasty too, you're making me hungry tonight! I will get my fill of tasty food tomorrow, Seahawks play off food! I really can't call myself a true 12th man or anything but I'll watch the game....and eat.popcorn::

And Matt will wear a sweatshirt that makes laser noises, that is so awesome!! I hope we get to see the woody and buzz sweatshirts in action sometime in a future report.

I always want to try one but I'm afraid of pulling out a filling or something!

RR is SO GOOD. I want some right now. Seahawks play-off food sounds amazing! And hey, now you can enjoy SUPER BOWL food. WOOWOOO!

Hahaha, yeah, the problem with the hoodies is that we never bring them to Disney since it's always SO hot out! Darn weather ruining things for us. Curses!

hi Dani
Finally causght up on your TR!
have a great time in Vegas! that so awesome that your going there on a work trip! :yay:

Good to know about the shampoo bars at Basin...I have looked at those for years, and never bought anything...now I know to give them a try!!

Sorry your service was slow...that is too bad he was busy chatting with his co-workers...we have never eaten there...add another restaurant to our list!

YAY! Glad you're caught up!

Vegas was... interesting... and not as fun as it sounds. We were SO busy with work and company events and shows and dinners... it was hard to get any free time to do what I wanted. BUT I did skip out on a tour of the Hoover Dam and went shopping at the Disney Store there. AND I even went to Basin White! So it wasn't terrible.

Basin is amazing, definitely give the bars a shot!!

Service was lame, but again, the food is too awesome to not try it out. Trust me, you'll love it!

IT'S OKAY, I've missed 2498349483 updates on other people's TRs. I'm the worst.

Those milkshakes are the best. And I'm jealous of your shake. I WANT ONE NOW.

Hahaha I know, it's the best hoodie ever! AND YES FOR HANGS!!!

IT'S OKAY! Seriously, I'm so behind myself and every time I get on a roll to update, something pops up and prevents me from updating... like a trip to Vegas for work.

But your comment about missing us made me happy. :goodvibes

There are all sorts of crazy things about Vinylmation and I know far too much! Hahaha.

Aww thanks, we're dorks, but we're dork who are in love.

DL sounds PERFECT right now! I want to go! I LOVED INDIANA JONES SO MUCH! Oh my gosh, I am really hoping I get to write a TR about our trip in November, because it was so much fun. I agree about the "big drop", it's not THAT big, hahaha. That's too funny.

AHH both resorts are wonderful, I would suggest either one to stay at!! You know how much I love both places!

So excited for a new trip report and at halloween so excited!!!! Btw I'm crazy4stitch but due to someone hacking my account and changing password I had to pull up a new account t so.... Here I am littlechef

Oh hey!! No worries at all. :goodvibes Glad you're here!

Haha yeah, it was a good time, though a bit insanely busy. The fireworks were at least amazing!

Chapter 32: "Ummm, where the heck are we?"
Day Six: September 16th, 2013

As I left off, we were hanging out at Basin because it's the BEST.

As we walked around, Matt and I kept a tab on what soaps we liked the smell of both for ourselves, and also as a gift for Amy back at home. She LOVED Basin in January, so I knew we had to bring her home some goodies.

file_zpscf60bf65.jpg

This Snowy one actually smelled a LOT like Beach Club, so I made sure to remember that one!

We headed out of there and stopped by the Ghirardelli shop for a free sample of Pumpkin Spice chocolate.

file_zpsc0fc6f43.jpg

file_zpsc2d9cf85.jpg

It was VERY tasty!

We headed back over toward World of Disney/Lego Store area, since that's where Jenn and the family were... Brynn soon emerged and she looked WONDERFUL!

file_zps233c4575.jpg

Like, how precious is that little pose? She had the hand pose down and everything!

Then of course, the kids needed to all be together for a little photo shoot!

file_zps66bce3c1.jpg

Oh my gosh, I can't even. Those kids are the cutest things ever.

We chatted for a while and also ran into Susie and her Mom! It was their last day there before heading back to Pennsylvania... but that was okay since they were ya know, moving to Florida pretty soon after!!

We said goodbye to everyone, since we had a little more shopping to do, and headed over to the Christmas shop!

file_zpsf76f5cf6.jpg

Matt and I needed to pick out another ornament for our tree! It's a tradition that we pick up a Disney ornament on every Disney trip... and we knew right away which one we were buying.

file_zps4377814b.jpg

We also decided to buy an ornament for Jenn's family, just as a nice little gift... and decided to go with the Ariel eat hat! We REALLY wanted to find the It's a Small World ear hat ornament, but they were sold out of it, so we decided to go with the Ariel one since that meant something to the family (which you'll hear about in a future update).

After we left, we headed back towards the Raglan Road area, and tried to figure out what we wanted to do next. We had mentioned maybe checking out the Disney outlets, and Danni and Johnny said they were totally cool to take us.

Thankfully, just as we hopped into the car, the skies opened up and it started to POUR outside.

file_zpsac0c60de.jpg

I was happy to not be stuck outside in that!

So obviously none of us had any idea where the heck we were going, but I looked up directions on my phone to a Disney outlet... which ended up being the SKETCHIEST OUTLET EVER.

Seriously, as soon as we walked in, I wanted to walk right back outside. It was tiny, it was weird and had random crap, and it just felt... wrong.

We didn't stay more than 5 minutes before we peaced out, and Danni had mentioned that there was definitely a different outlet that was way better. So I looked up directions to that one, but we ended up just getting SUPER lost. As in, we were stuck in the car for an hour because we got lost.

I have to admit, I just got to a point where I didn't even want to find the outlet and just wanted to give up and go back to our resort. THANKFULLY Johnny's GPS on his phone led us to finding a good one, and I can't remember where it was, but it was much larger and WAY not as sketchy as the first one.

The down side was, I was just so tired at this point, I wasn't much in the mood for shopping.

I looked around at the Vinylmation they had on display, not finding a whole ton that I wanted, but I was AMAZED that there was a Jabba the Hutt there!

file_zps3314b151.jpg

That Jabba was a Limited Edition of 1000, sold only during Star Wars weekends, and had huge lines to buy him. So to see him at an outlet for a much discounted price was surprising! I already had him (thanks to Johnny and Danni for picking it up for us during Star Wars Weekend, DAPS, yo)... but I was tempted to buy him to trade. But then realized I had NO room in my suitcase as it was, and that would be a pain to bring home.

I did end up finding a Tomorrowland People set for $8, and then bought some It's a Small World blind box Jrs. (3/$10)... AND some Disney coconut patties, so it was not a wasted trip, HOOORAY!!

We headed out from there and went back to Beach Club. I dove into one of my coconut patties packs I'd bought because that will always put you in a better mood, right?!

file_zps9bc4bea7.jpg

file_zps6ba1e213.jpg

YUP.

Danni and Johnny dropped us off at our room, and we thanked them for taking us on a wild adventure to the outlets.

I have to say, throughout this adventure, and this being my FIRST time being off-property... I can't say I ever want to leave property again. There is something to be said about staying in the magical Disney bubble and I just didn't like leaving it! I was just having such a good time being away from the real world during this trip, and being thrown back into it again, even in just a tiny way, I didn't like it.

Matt... well for him, it didn't bother him very much since he grew up always driving around outside of Disney property, but for me, it just didn't feel right. I know I probably sound ridiculous, but I just didn't like it. I'm sure in the future we'll go off-property to check out Harry Potter at Universal, but for now, I'll keep enjoying my trips on-property only, and no more trips are needed to the outlets!

Continued in next post

Chapter 33: "I'm sorry, but I just had to say... I LOVE YOUR VIDEO!"
Day Six: September 16th, 2013

Anyway, we finally got back to our room at around 6:45, and Matt and I decided to go grab some dinner over in Epcot. We were both in the mood for a little Moroccan to get us back on track and in good moods.

file_zps0a766aae.jpg

I went with the lamb, and I was kind of disappointed because they changed the size of the plates. Don't get me wrong, the food is still GOOD, but it's not what they used to give you, and for the higher price, when you're not on the Dining Plan, it makes it a bit less worth it.

file_zpsf412b157.jpg

Still, the food is delicious... I just am not sure I'd go there again for a full meal. Maybe split something with Matt next time?

After we finished eating, we decided to stop by France for... more food!

file_zps7c3ce20a.jpg

We picked up a couple of Garlic Cheese Rolls and Napoleans for later on, then headed back out of Epcot. It was one super short trip over there, but we had some other fun but more relaxing plans. But I have to mention it again, I loved that we had the ability to just stroll over to Epcot for some tasty food and then head back out to our resort in minutes. Another reason why I love Beach Club so very much!

So on our stroll back, I was still in just kind of a little funk for whatever reason... when suddenly a guy in his mid-30s RUNS up to us from behind and apologizes for stopping us. I wasn't sure what was going on, but then he starts telling us how he LOVED watching our trip video and just how well-done it was, how he watched it with his wife and kids, etc. He was totally not the type of person I'd expect to watch a Disney video, but the fact that he was just so nice about it and that his family watched it together to get ready for their trip... I literally got emotional.

Now I think this might have been in part due to the fact that I had been in a somewhat crappy mood while in Disney World and this just completely reminded me of how silly that was... but I was also just beyond touched that this family had watched our video to get excited for their trip. It just meant a lot to me and the guy could not have picked a better time to run up to us and say that. It completely broke me out of my funk and reminded me of how much happiness Disney brings to people.

Again, here I am rambling on and being cheesy, but it's true. Little moments like that are things you really will only experience in Disney World.

We strolled back to the room and went to get changed really quickly... because we had a date with Stormalong Bay!

We both were SO excited to go swimming at night in Stormalong Bay. During January, the pool would close pretty early (since it doesn't tend to stay too warm at night), and there is just something that screams "I'M IN VACATION" when you get to do nightswimming. But going nightswimming in Stormalong Bay?! That's a whole different level of awesomeness.

Of course, I brought my DandyCase and phone with me for the fun!

file_zps2d7d7de3.jpg

file_zps2e38a56b.jpg

We swam around the sand-bottom area for a bit, then decided to hop over into the lazy river for a little while. They started putting out the inner tubes so you could just grab one and float around, which was definitely new! And here I am, just floatin' along, hahaha.

file_zps88ba3395.jpg

We decided to hop back into the other pool, and lucky for us, Illuminations began and we could actually kind of see it from the pool.

file_zps53efa272.jpg

file_zps66a64758.jpg

It was just kind of the perfect end of the day... and while we watched, a couple of people just started chatting with us about how awesome it was to be able to see the fireworks from the pool, and how it was their first time staying at Beach Club, etc. We ended up talking to them for a while, telling them about all sorts of random stuff, and they were just telling us how much fun they'd had during their trip... They were just a very nice couple of people to talk to!

After spending about an hour in the pool, we got out and dried off, then headed back inside... but we had to stop by the Marketplace first, because I needed to pick up something that I'd been missing for a few years now...

file_zps07fd7680.jpg

OREO BON BONS!!! adlkfjlkfjlkdjfalkjdfklskdf

I was SO HAPPY to have them back in my life. While we were there, I also saw an awesome Beach Club t-shirt that I just haaad to have, so I bought that, too.

file_zps8516a109.jpg

file_zpsda613751.jpg

We got back to our room at around 10ish, and I took photos of all the awesome stuff we'd bought today.

Here's all of the pins we'd gotten through the mystery boxes (and the Donald lock one came from the trading event).

file_zps93d8e7d6.jpg

And here is my adorable Vinylmation Popcorn Stitch. He was so cute!

file_zpsc9b6549a.jpg

This is the Tomorrowland People set I got at the outlets for $8. I kind of like them, it's old school Disney, haha.

file_zpsc174f706.jpg

And here are the three It's a Small World Jr. Vinylmation I got for 3/$10..

file_zps319f0bea.jpg

I was REALLY hoping to get the Hippo, but I do like the ones I got!

I also picked up a Piglet for my niece's birthday, and the magnet we bought at Old Key West.

file_zpse6278c9d.jpg

file_zpsa081bea9.jpg

After looking over everything we bought, it was time for some foooood! And my first stop was Oreo Bon Bon town.

And in case you ever wanted to see what the inside of the Bon Bon looks like...

file_zps339db3db.jpg

It's basically heaven. Chocolate on top, Oreo Mousse-type of filling, and an Oreo on the bottom. If you've tried these before, you know how amazing they are... and if you haven't, well, you need to. They're amazing.

After I ate a Bon Bon, I decided to eat my DELIGHTFUL Garlic Cheese Roll we'd picked up in France earlier... Ohhhh my gosh I love this roll so much. I'm a little obsessed.

We ate our food, fully unpacked since we hadn't had time the previous night, then just relaxed until we went to bed. It was nice to take it easy for the first time in a few nights!

We were both really excited because the next day was going to be our 3rd wedding anniversary AND Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!! And just you wait, because you are in for quite an epic day 7!!

Continued in next post

I am way super far behind for a bazillion reasons (one being my DLR trip for the Tink Half - yay!) but anyhoo...

BAILEY'S MILKSHAKE. LOBSTER SANDWICH. I kinda got stuck on those photos for a while. And then when I finally moved on OREO BON BONS.

Please don't ever stop with the food photos.

And I really wish that DLR would have a Basin White shop in GCH or something. WDW isn't on our radar for a few years, but DLR will continue to be. I could just pony up and buy online, but what fun is that?

Ah Basin!! I desperately need more toner from there and am really hoping I make it to dtd next week!! Oh my gosh Brynn is such a perfect little princess!! Ah, all the kids look so cute!!

Hmm..I’m totally sitting here not remembering any rain that day! WEIRD! Unless it hit while we were in lunch at Epcot? Although I do remember MiSi being delayed because of rain…but I don’t remember rain…lol

Haha, definitely love to stick on property! But to me there really is something still magical and awesome about being off property in Florida, but I guess that comes with the desire to explore and see things and just move down there lol. Glad you at least found some stuff to buy to make the trip worth it!

Awwe!! So awesome that you were recognized by so many people about the video! Your videos are really really well done, and amazing. I can’t say enough about them! Heck, I watched them yesterday (when I didn’t move from my bed and spent all day on youtube, yup, one of those) They’re just such awesome videos that show that you don’t have to be a kid to enjoy Disney magic, that it’s for people of all ages and that’s really wonderful, it can help people my age who are all “disney’s for kids” see WHY I want to go so often! Lol.

I LOVE BEACH & YACHT CLUB AND I CANNOT GET OVER HOW AMAZING THEY BOTH ARE. All I want is to be back there with a swimsuit so I CAN SWIM lol, and how amazing that you could see fireworks form the pool, that is beyond amazing!

THOSE BON BONS LOOK DELICIOUS….yet another reason to go back to BC!! Lol. YAY!! MNSSHP!! I totally ran into you guys that night! SUPER PUMPED to read all about what you guys thought!

Oh my! All those great food items. And right now, my mouth is just watering for one of those coconut clusters. Oooh, I can almost taste it..... :thumbsup2

Ha Ha, I beat my DW this time on the response. :cool1: (clearly her job is more demanding, or I'm a bigger slacker, actually both)

Leaving the bubble, this is kind of a big thing for us. we try to save some dough by doing lunches and breakfast in our rooms so we have to make a Publix run when we first get there. We try hard to get everything that first time, but without fail we find we have to go out again. But, anytime we leave the bubble there is a perceptible change in attitude.

Some of those outlet stores can be quite sketchy, but my co-workers insist that I have to bring a souvenir back for them. Therefore they get the cheap knockoffs, they will never know the difference, and I'm not dropping too much coin on non family or friends. So it is kind of worth it for us to leave the bubble.

Have you guys gotten enough ornaments to start a dedicated Disney Christmas tree yet? That is our goal but we have not acquired enough yet, maybe next year, and we have to get a pickle soon!

I now have R.E.M's "night swimming" running through my head. There is no better way to take off some of the Disney soreness than a swim in the pool and a soak in the hot tub. We need to get to Beach Club just to swim in their pool, I love lazy rivers so much. Oh and I can put a hurt on the Cape May crab leg buffet, next time I go I'm going to have to record it for posterity sake.

I'm so glad you got that little boost to help you out of your funk. It's a shame to be in a bad mood at Disney. You did the same thing for me recently when I had the Disney withdrawals and wanted nothing to do with Disney or the boards after my last trip. Watching your video got me back out of it for sure. Now my problem is I'm obsessed again. You wouldn't believe how much your TR update just improved my day.

Oh and BTW if we ever see you guys at WDW while we are there I'm totally pulling the awkward rabid fan and running up to you guys to let you know how much I enjoy you TR's

Hehe, yup you definitely like Basin to have it cross over into two updates!!!

Aww how cute is Brynn??? Awww how cute are ALL OF THEM??!!

Are you sure the Small World Ear Hat ornament isn't a Halloween decoration on account it's SO FREAKIN' SCARY???

Yeah, there are a lot of sketchy looking places outside the bubble. Glad you found a nice outlet eventually.

Aww yeah, to be able to just pop into Epcot for even a few minutes is just an awesome bonus. Hopefully one day I will get to stay at one of the Epcot resorts and do just that. I actually spent quite a bit of time at or near the Epcot resorts last trip, so staying there would have really been helpful.

See that, the guy running up to you is just a perfect example of why Disney is so great. You can be in a huge funk and then BAM, something happens that completely changes it. Awesome!!

Ahhh I can't wait for the next day!!!!!!!

I love that someone came up to you about your video! I often find that pick me ups like that happen right when we need them!

So wishing I could make an Oreo bon bon appear in front of me.... they look delicious!!!

i know you didn't eat there this trip, but what is with Chef d'france getting rid of remy!?!?! i heard that and was so sadden by this it was the only reason i wanted to eat there now im not so sure. Have you heard any word on whether he will come back? i hope so

Then, Matt saw it... there were little lizards hanging out on the roofs, actin' all Godzilla-like.

I could see a movie being made about it... Tiny Town: ATTACK OF THE LIZARDS.

I died when i saw this! i took me a minute to find the little dinos but when i did a totally can see the trailer. If the can do sharknado they can over sized lizards

SENDIN MAD DAPS RIGHT BACK ATTCHYA, YO.

omg I am still so sorry we got THAT lost in Orlando. we seriously felt super awful. buuuut I see you mentioned something about Wizarding World....BWAHAHAHAHA. Maniacal laugh....MANIACAL LAUGH....

I cannot believe this past weekend was a year since your January trip when we hung out in MK, but I cannot wait to read about our NEXT day in MK!

PLUS SEATTLE HANGS. IN REAL LIFE. SOON.

Love your Trip report so far!!

We just booked our Honeymoon at WDW after getting married at DL the week before :P You have me so excited for it all, and i have been making lists of food we need to try, curse all your delicous food pics! :rotfl2:

Also i must stay at Beach Club! Thanks for that!!

I am hooked! Such a great report:yay:

I love your TRs so, so much. :) When we were at DTD a couple weeks ago I picked up a couple shampoo and a couple conditioner bars from Basin -- oh my GOSH. They're amazing! I'm still not convinced I'm using enough of the conditioner bar, though. It's pretty sad when you can't figure out if you're shampooing/conditioning your hair correctly. :lmao:

Also...and I am ashamed to admit this...I've never had an Oreo bon bon (or school bread, but I've already been shamed about that!). They look AMAZING. Next time you eat one, enjoy it for me, too!

I'm always torn as far as leaving the Disney bubble. I never do because I'm worried that the vacation magic wouldn't be the same, so I'm glad someone feels the same way! But then again, I always want to go over to Universal to go to Hogwarts! I keep those vacations separate, though, since I always want to go over to MK when I'm at Universal so it's easier just to make two long trips because, hey, why deprive myself of a vacation?! ;)

In closing, I love your Mexican Duffy pin. SO CUTE!
