I was really disappointed Marcel didn't win, I thought he deserved it over Illan. I think in the long run Marcel will be more successful.

ONLY if he starts getting along with others and can direct a kitchen a bit better. His food is interesting and apparently more tasty.
I ahve been in kitchens all my life. I have seen many a talented chef fail because of behavior just like Marcels. It does matter what goes on behind the scenes. Even in the end, he never admitted his downfalls.

Now see I took that as a vote against Marcel, I figured Marcel's difficulties in getting along with the others finally caught up to him and Tom was saying in the future when he gets a handle on that he could be the better chef. Funny how we both took the comment differently and I thought the only vote for Marcel would have been from Gail Simmons. She seemed to really like Marcel the best.

I took it the same way as you did Tori.

I am bummed Marcel did not win. I was hoping that he would pick Mia to
help him she seemed really interested in helping him and figured as soon as he
picked Mike he was not going to win. I will always wonder if he was sabatoged on purpose. Fish--what fish? hmmmmm
If they (the chefs judges) really want the contestants to take risks then they have to stop rewarding the chefs when they safe route. (Except for Sam being voted off for playing it too safe they usually rewarded the safe players.)

I think Sam's hot factor went up when he cut his hair. Looks much better without that headband.

Wasn't he voted the Sexiest Chef in NY or something like that? I know he's MY sexiest chef winner!!

BTW I just saw Rosie award Marcel (he was in the audience) with a set of knives. I was just glad he was sent home packing them!

Not just in the kitchen, in LIFE in general. Marcel is young so hopefully he has time to learn how to treat people and be responsible. I remember being that way when I was 24 and could not be told ANYTHING. I now call it the 23 year old disease. Too old to be told and too young to realize it.

I would be more apt to eat Ilan's food, but not Marcel's. I guess that is why we have more than one restaurant in town -

Marcel was on The View this morning, thanks to Rosie - she's a fan of the show and he's her favorite. She said she's thinking about opening a restaurant and if she does, she'd like him to be the chef!

I agree, after all this, I think Sam probably should have been Top Chef.

Poor Sam, I hope he does well. He looked so unhappy at the finale. Has he been on any talk shows?

Well at least Marcel didn't try to make a "foam" in his final dishes (though I am certain he's done gelee before on the show). Also, didn't chef Tom ASK MArcel what the humidity would do to his "encapsulated vinaigrette"? He played it off like he was fine and BAm...chef Tom was right. I also was annoyed Marcel tried to blame his sous chefs about the missing Moi. "I guess I put to much faith in my sous chefs".

Bottom line dude...the head chef is ultimately responsible for everything. Own up to it you little weasle.

I agree. I thought he was hot before, but kind of did that double take with ummmm yummy when I saw him w/ his hair cut.

I wish they would have brought back last years chef that most did not like,
Tiffany, to get her perspective on the dishes and how she was protrayed. Harold also won fixing the safer dishes (I was so excited to see him win!!) but after seeing the season I wonder if any chef in the top two should even bother taking a risk. (I wouldnt, its a lot of money to lose trying something new).

Was anyone confused as to why Sam would volunteer to help Marcel rather than Ilan? He said something about "shaking things up" And didn't it turned out that there were exactly 3 people who said they wanted to work for Ilan and exactly 3 who wanted to work for Marcle? I smell a set up

And did anyone else notice that Elia looked really ticked off almost everytime they showed her. Especially when the su chefs were talking to the judges. Guess she's pretty bitter about being voted off?

The night after he lost, he did a live on-line chat with Tom and one of the Bravo Executives. Tom and Sam were going to do a cooking demo together on the weekend. I would have loved to have gone to that and seen both of them work together. I could really see them working well together.

I didn't watch the finals because I was ticked off when Sam was voted off. I guess I will have to watch the re-run now to see how it played out. After all its on Bravo, so they will show it 100 more times!!!
