Top Chef - Season Two

Ok - I'm guessing by Tom's comment about one chef is good now but the other one could be better than him later that he wasn't voting with the majority and actually voted for Marcel. JMO

Now see I took that as a vote against Marcel, I figured Marcel's difficulties in getting along with the others finally caught up to him and Tom was saying in the future when he gets a handle on that he could be the better chef. Funny how we both took the comment differently and I thought the only vote for Marcel would have been from Gail Simmons. She seemed to really like Marcel the best.

LMAO!

I just met Marcel and Ilan! Apparently they do the Bravotv.com live show here where I work and some of my co-workers and I stalked around. We talked to both of them. I even told Marcel that it seemed as though the fans on the disney boards were behind him. Hahahaha!

Now I am behind in what I had to do tonight. Ooops!

I was really disappointed Marcel didn't win, I thought he deserved it over Illan. I think in the long run Marcel will be more successful.

I agree. Marcel's food just seems more interesting, Ilan's just seems safe.

So, did anyone watch Top Design?

So, did anyone watch Top Design?

I watched it, but was on the computer at the same time. Either I need to focus more, or it just doesn't have the power to hold my attention.

Seems like an interesting group of people. I really think a couple of them missed the mark on building an "oasis".

Who in the heck is Alexis Arquette? Is it a she-man or transexual, or what?

I watched it and it didn't "wow" me. It may grow on me though. You already know who the annoying pain in the butt is going to be.

Personal quotes
"I enjoy being a character actor, I enjoy being different in everything. I want a private life, I want to be able to go to 7-11 and not get into a fight with a guy because he saw me in a movie, or not have people hitting on me simply because they saw me in a movie. You want to be wanted for who you are, not what you've done or who you've become, and it's hard." Interview with Chris Lee, 1998.

I guess I'm more thrilled that Marcel lost than Ilan won. I still believe the producers set this up for the pure drama. Sam should've been the victor, he was my favorite with Elia second.

It was good to see the other guys back! I love Mike, Sam and Elia! I even liked seeing Betty!

Good show, I'm enjoying Top Design too since I can design WAY better than I can cook!!:rotfl2:

I'm so glad Marcel did not win!! Is it just me or is Sam kind of hot???

I loved when Betty called Ilan by Marcel's name! :lmao:

We had a discussion at work this morning. Would you have wanted Mike to work for you? Everyone here said they'd have picked Mia if it were up to them. At least she doesn't have a stoner's personality. :)

Marcel probably would have picked her if Sam didn't suggest Mike. But, when Mike said, "Dude, you're the one who's going to win a $100,000. You should know where the fish is." That killed me. Definitely should have been Mia working with him instead.

OTOH, I would never have picked Frank. Who wants their employees to "keep him in line?" Yep, that would be a deal breaker for me in selecting an employee.

I think Sam's hot factor went up when he cut his hair. Looks much better without that headband.
