A few months ago, I got a great spot for the Share a Dream parade, but my husband told me we had plenty of time to run and do Buzz and still get a good spot. So we waited in the 10 minute line. Got into Buzz, and half-way thru the ride it stopped. I've been on it before when it stopped but this time was different. These chain link fences popped up between the cars and the shooting area. The lights came on... and we just sat for at least 30 minutes. For the first 10 minutes, we couldn't shoot, and all our scores reset. We could here the announcements, "please stay seated. The ride will resume momentarily". Yeah, right. There were a few funny things that kept us in good humor.... I saw two CM's walking thru the ride, coming toward us so I told my family "Hey, we're going to get some real info now!". They just shouted as they went by us "Please stay seated. The ride will resume momentarily".
We got so bored I took at picture of my DH and DS in the following car. Then I passed the camera to my DH in the next car and had him take a picture of me and DD (so we have these 2 pictures now of us broken down) .... we all look so bored and frustrated, but they are hilarious to look at now!
Lights were on, we couldn't shoot, but the music kept playing. My DD and I started singing the "ooo ooooo ooooo" song that keeps getting repeated over and over and over..... Now whenever I ride through 'that' room, the song is haunting!
My DD loved seeing people in the TTA go by as we were stuck there. We got to see LOTS of targets that we never knew existed. After about 20 minutes, we were able to shoot and get scores. But the cars stayed in the same spots for the next 5 minutes. What fun! I loved shooting at the Alien in the Box. My DH found a target way on the other side of the room and got huge points for hitting it - which is easy to do when your car doesn't move for 5 minutes. Obviously, our scores all wrapped around or hit the limit, I forget what it does then. (well, not DS's since he's only 4).
We made it in time for the parade - with less than ideal seats, and the Buzz song still lingering in my mind. The next day I sat for my parade spot for an hour munching on an ice cream while the family did TTA (waving to the buzz crowd). We had great seats that day!
I never listen to hubby anymore....
