Tomorrowland Fireworks Dessert Party

I've done the dessert party once, and for me, it's definitely a "one and done" type of event. The night we did the party, it had POURED about an hour prior, so having a dry place to sit and enjoy the fireworks was "worth it". And no, the party is not covered by any DDP.

We did the dessert party on our trip this past September. Yes Yes Yes a thousand times Yes!!!! It is worth it. The desserts were tasty. The drinks need improvement. Tea, Water--and it is tap water, juice and milk. No sodas. Plenty of fresh fruit choices if you don't want the desserts. There is plenty of room to stand if your seat is in the back but we sat at our table and had no problem seeing. I thought the Hub construction might be an issue but we did not even see any of the construction. It had rained quite a bit that day so sitting in a covered area was nice. The absolute best part, and the reason it is so worth it, is I was not pushed or shoved or trampled or nudged at anytime during the show. And when it was over I just sat there and waited for the crowds to move out. They do a last call for desserts and we sat and finished up then walked leisurely down Main Street out to a not crowded bus. I will most assuredly do this again.

Did we eat the cost of the party in desserts? No but the fact that I could actually enjoy the fireworks in comfort was worth the cost.

I loved it. I love watching fireworks but my DH hates dealing with the crowds, so the dessert party is perfect for us. The desserts are yummy, but as PP said, you'd be hard-pressed to eat your money's worth. It's more about having a place to sit and having a great view of the fireworks, with the chance to eat some sweets. If you can afford it, it's fun to do once, and then you can decide if it's worth it again in the future.

"Worth it" is too subjective to really advise someone one way or the other.

When we did it a few years ago, I assumed we would be "one and done". I was glad we did it, otherwise I would always be considering doing it, or wishing I did it. The desserts are very good and there is excellent variety, but I agree, there's no way you're eating your money's worth in desserts alone. A big chunk of your cost has to be considered for the "environment" - meaning, getting off your feet for a bit and not having to fight the masses for a view of the fireworks.

We ended up doing it again ealier this year solely because my parents actually joined us on the trip (something we assumed would never happen). So, to get them a place to sit down and escape the crowds, we decided to do it. One unfortunate thing this time around was that a few years ago, they had a photopass photographer in there taking pictures (great for us as we always pre-purchase the unlimited photo package - DW is a picture nut). They no longer have a photographer in there. We found that disappointing, and something that decreased the value of the experience, at least for us.

If I were to give my honest opinion- I would say no and no. We did it in April and I thought it was overpriced and the view isn't that great. There are plenty of places to watch Wishes and MUCH better desserts in MK.
