Tom Sawyer Island closure

I just read on allearsnet that TSI will be closed during the time we'll be visiting this summer. Very bummed since our boys love this, and we love just sitting there on Aunt Polly's porch doing nothing for an hour!

Does anyone know what's going on over there during that time? (7/25-9/25)

I think they are whitewashing a fence//but it is way too much fun so guests are not allowed over there to even watch...but if you are willing to pay them they might let you whitewash some of it for them...if you ask real nice.

I hear you about missing it.

Small World is closed down for rehab and that was always a tradition. We always go on it everytime we are there......funny though when the kids heard it was closed I could tell they were holding back a smile (they are teens).

When is TSI scheduled to close? My little girl was looking forward to going there.

She almost cried when I told her that IASW was closed, too.
