Hi! Not sure when the last time it was I checked in here. I've just been so busy with all this moving stuff. And it has made me so tired.

Ev, sorry everyone seems to be sick. And that poem was just beautiful.

whgrn, it sounds as though your rehab is going great. Keep up the good work.

Pikester, I can never listen to that song without crying. Doesn't matter what time of year it is, it just makes me cry.

M&N, how sad that things are changing at WDW again. I love all the lights they have and I can't believe they are getting rid of some. :sad2:

Hey JO---Hope you are all settled in your new place. Are the kids excited about their new rooms?

We are getting settled slowly. And so far, the kids love their rooms all the space that they have. Right now, 2 of the kids don't have their beds put together. We just have mattresses on the floor. By this weekend, everything will be done/put together except for decorations for the walls. I want to put new pictures up so I have to go through all that I have. That could take hours and hours. :lmao:

How was your day today?

Hey Pikester. Getting cold up north?

Niothing much going on here JO. It was ok weather but I like sun. I hate it getting dark early.

OK, I know I'm 2 weeks early, but I am going to start the "What I am Thankful For" list:

1. My health--it's far from perfect, but its better than it was, and so much better than some folks. I don't have cancer or any horrible disease, I'm strong, and my knee WILL eventually heal and I'll be up and running again.

2. My family--my kids drive me batty most of the time, but I can't imagine life without them--I love them more than life itself. My parents, praise God, are still with me and in decent health, and they are wonderful people with whom I am blessed to have a great relationship. I have the best sister in the world, and my brother isn't bad either. I've got some other pretty cool relatives too.

3. My friends--starting with my BFF of 41 years, who is the best friend anyone could ever ask for. And my other girlfriends, including of course the TKers who make me laugh and cry and are as "real" as any friends I have ever had, often moreso.

4. My country--I am so blessed to live in the USA, the greatest country in the world (sorry Ev, I'm a bit biased...), where I still have FREEDOM and where we have so much that we have enough to share. This includes our military--past, present and future--and even our messed up government, which is still better than most of the world has to put up with (wow, can you believe *I* said that?!?!)

5. OK, (I'm gonna say it and if I get banned, so be it, but see #4 and you'll know why) for my God--who gets me through every day, every hour, every minute; who gave me life, who gives me hope and who loves me for my imperfect self.

Well, that was in no particular order, and it's by no means exhaustive, but I was just sitting her feeling really grateful and wanted to put my thoughts in writing. I think I'll go add this to my blog...

If you want a thread killer banner JO, feel free to copy mine. You are a regular now! Anyone else can have one too! I didn't make them up...forget who did...maybe racer???

Great list Wendy. (I was going to say AMEN to that but was afraid!) Actually, we are not discussing religion...you were just making a comment on what you are thankful for. Otherwise they would have to ban talking about Thanksgiving. They may be in charge here but not the reason for the holiday. Come to think of it, will we be able to talk about Christmas? I guess about what we want but not the reason for it? Oh no...I'm on a roll!

Thanks M&N. I'll add it later since I think I've killed a few threads since I've been here.

whgrn, that was beautiful.

Yes M&N, it's starting to cool down here. Today was around 44 for the day which was alot cooler then the last few days were. On Sunday I was actually outside in a t-shirt.

Well, M&N, at least if we get banned, we'll be able to keep each other company!

I agree. Nice list Wendy! :thumbsup2

I know that I sometimes grown and moan about alot of things in my life but when it comes right down to it my life is pretty AWESOME!

I'm thankful that I have such a wonderful DH.
I'm thankful that my kids are healthy and knowledgeable.
I'm thankful that we have a great home.
I'm thankful that I only have to work part time and that DH has a secure job.
I'm thankful that my parents are healthy and God willing will be around for a long time.

I'm just thankful that there are so many things in my life that I can be thankful for.

M&N, you don't have a facebook? I joined up earlier this year and it so much fun. Addicting too. :lmao:

I am thankful for so much in my life right now, I could take a couple of pages just listing it all. So can I just cheat and say I am thankful for too much to list.

I have a face and a book but just not together!:lmao:
I try and find something to be thankful for in everything. I cannot find my ATM card so I'm thankful that I'm not spending any money now--that it's somewhere in my house--that I am forced to get to some of my piles. Since I am missing a little change purse, I figure it's in there. If I don't find it by Fri, I'll have to go to the bank.

Well, if you already have the face and a book, you're only one step away from having your own facebook. :rotfl:

I have yet to lose an ATM card but I did lose my id earlier this year. And of course, right after I got a duplicate, I found the original. Doesn't it always work that way. :lmao:

I'm sure I just put it somewhere during my many wallet/purse changes I've made lately. I cannot remember when I used it last. I just didn't want to carry it around all the time in case it gets lost!

Carrie Underwood didn't get female vocalist from CMT...Taylor Swift got it!

Ooo, we love Taylor Swift here. Especially since she's a local. But she also seems like a good, clean kid. I saw her in concert when she first started to hit it big and she put on a pretty good show.

Ya'll have some great list of things to be thankful for. I need to get started on mine but for a quick list before I head to bed tonight...

I am thankful that I feel so much better today than I have for the past few weeks.
I am thankful for my online friends.
I am thankful for my home, my family, my country and the love of God.

Tonight I am especially feeling thankful for good health, as well. One of my uncles passed away from an aneurysm yesterday. Today my son found out that one of the guys from his Jui-Jitsu school died. He was only 41 and died of a heart attach. It was horrible. They found him in a swimming pool at a local gym. I am just praying that there is not a third death coming next.
