LITC--I don't remember if I ever asked you but have you ever been to where they make Longaberger baskets?

I second that July 30th, Lime Green all around!!!!

And yes M&N, I have been to Dresden, only once probably about 7 years ago. We didn't get to take the full tour since the "basketmakers" were off that day, but still cool none the less. We also got to go in the lobby of their office building, which is the one shaped like a giantic basket.

OK this may be too much info....however it is for Kitty so here we go...I was just folding some laundry and I realized I also have 2 pairs of lime green hanes her ways. I'll wear both, just to be sure!

Funny story about Longaberger, sort of. You may know that until last month, i was a Longaberger consultant (for 5 years). I have HUNDREDS of baskets, they are all over my house. Well, today when DS's furniture came, the side bookcases and the big bookcase came with baskets--WICKER baskets!!:scared1: Now, my motto is "friends don't let friends carry wicker"! So I immediately removed them from the room. Mom took them home with her tonite. No wicker in MY house!!!

Anyway, here are the pix of DS's room:

The rug he's been dying for! (Note Longaberger basket next to the dresser!)

He is seriously going to need to change his pants after he sees this room!

BFF and I were gonna put up the David Wright lifesize Fathead, but when I read the directions it said to wait 30 days after painting. Well, it's only been 3 days!! So we will do it when I get back. And we will also rehang his curtains with better hardware so they don't droop. Once we have all the stuff for his walls, we can figure out where to put things. Right now it looks really bare--it will be better with all his Mets stuff up.

Wendy, the room looks amazing! I'm excited for DS!

Thanks for the solidarity, everyone. I'm going to wear a Buddha, a rosary and Mickey head earrings. I'm presently fretting over the scuba gear to wear under the dress to make me not look like a cow on tv. I need emergency liposuction! And they say the camera adds 10 pounds....oh no, its a lost cause....

LITC--You are just so dedicated! :woohoo: Showing support all the way through! :rotfl:

Whgrn---You are such a cool Mom! I'll play HGTV host and say you matched down to the details with the orange shelves. I just love the bed's headboard. And yes, I did notice the Longaberger basket. I did not know you were a consultant. I have tons of them too...I was not one but got them through hosting parties. I even have the dishes.

Hey i'd support my TKers any day of the week!
Wendy-the room looks awesome!
I only have somewhere between half dozen and a dozen baskets but I cherish them. I would never get rid of them, and I am happy that I even have a couple of signatures on them.

I have 2 that I made when I visited. I forgot I have a signed one but cannot remember which one! I just love the office building. I guess they gave up on making any more basket buildings. I think it's amazing that they are still in business with the economy like it is.

Goodbye Whgrn!

Have a great trip! Looking forward to some great kilt pics!

Well, my bags are packed and I'm ready to go! 7 more hours...

M&N
I have the dishes too, and I love them. (I also have the glasses and the silverware...)

I will miss you guys, but even if I am not posting, I will be reading! I don't know how often I'll have internet access, so you may not hear from me too much. But you can be sure there will be a trip report in my future!!

 everybody!!

Love your son's room Whgrn! Can't wait to hear what his reaction was when he sees it.

Have fun and stay safe on your trip!

Are you planning on posting your trip on your blog again? If so, I can't wait to hear it!

Good afternoon everyone!

Wendy, I hope I didn't miss you! Have a safe trip and an amazing time in Scotland! I do hope you find those fried twinkies (whether or not you eat them, I'll leave up to you). Enjoy!

Honestly, I never heard of Longaberger (sp?) baskets until I met you guys. I will attest, that Wendy has quite an impressive collection of baskets and just about everything else and they are so cute!

Good morning ladies!
This week was VBS at our church. Between that and Jiu-Jitsu I have not had an afternoon to stay home much less sit at the computer. Last night was the last night so I will actually get to stay home tonight. The last 2 nights I took my WDW planning book and sat outside reading. I was enjoying that but, of course, it did not go uninterrupted but I still made more progress in the book than I ever do at home. So, M&N. Mousejunkies, huh? Another book to add to the always growing Disney library.

Pikester, looks like we will have a few days overlapping at WDW. When we get closer we will have to check our plans to see if we will be in any of the parks on the same day to see if we might be able to run into each other. I so would not want to be leaving at 4AM! But then again there is no way I would want to drive with my bunch anyway. The kids are fine but DH is a pain. It sounds like you do have a few ideas in the making. I have most of my dining choices picked. Now the trick is to sort them all out for which day. I do plan on making it to the Hoop Dee Doo too but I am kinda scared of Chef Mickeys! Good news for you! I just read over at TGM that Free Dining has been released for Disney Visa members.
Geesh, I would be a bit annoyed at your DH too for being inconsiderate to the kids about the tv. Seems downright rude but I guess that is just something common to men on so many levels. My DH doesn't do that but he does expect everyone to jump or drop what they are doing when he so desires. Quirky bunch aren't they. I also had the dad that would fall asleep in front of the tv but claim he wasn't asleep. DH does the same thing. Me, personally, I just stay away from the couch as much as possible so I don't fall asleep!
Like the new avatar. No telling what you will be able to do after this! And all this time I thought I was the only one who was so uniquely challenged. I have a Photobucket account but I find Webshots easier to post photos from simply because it has several options to display photos in different sizes. Photobucket may have it too but I haven't figured it out yet.

Oh, racetrack18kb, thanks for sharing all the great Hershey pics! First off.. you guys are crazy! There is now way I would have gotten on some of those coasters! Poor Maggikitty's. You look pretty worried. Me, I love CALM, KIDDIE rides. I am going to be in big doo-doo when my DD decides she likes the big stuff! Now those old timey cars are more my speed! They have some like those at our Six Flags and I have great memories of riding them all while I was growing up. Now bumper cars on the other hand... I was always afraid the sparks were gonna catch me on fire. I have finally conquered that fear, BTW. The slide looks like so much fun! Wendy "the ride buddy" probably would have been christened with "my best friend" if my DD had been there. She thinks every one she meets is her new BF. Cool looking water park. But my favorite picture is the TK group. I even see my flat self in there too. Now I can put more faces together with the names!
I ended up getting a Canon Powershot SD880. I read rave reviews everywhere so I really hope it lives up to being a great camera. I got notification that it shipped today so I should get it in the next few days. I hear it comes with 3 manuals so it looks like I will have even more reading to do. UGH!

MagiKitty, yes, DS has a new girl in his life. They are definitely in the fascination stage. His phone rings every 5 minutes with a new text message. And then later in the evening the phone is glued to his ear. Ah, young love. She is supposed to go with us for part of our trip to WDW. DH and I were just discussing today the hormones at 18 and a plan for sleeping arrangements to keep them far away from each other. Dear Lord it is quite a strange thing to be the parent through some parts of childhood! I thought of you today Kitty when she was texting him today while she was playing scrabble with her family. He was being her "phone a friend" to help her out when she had tough letters.
Whoo hoo! We have a finalist contender for Millionaire among us. Maybe we will be able to say we know an actual Millionaire winner! And I second Pikester's request that you make sure you let us know when your episode will be aired. We'll be watching for you in you LGD. I'm all for joining in for the LG good luck. No dress here but I have a t-shirt I can put on to show my support.

whgrn, that is so precious that your DS sends you letters to his "Dear Mommy". Today is your big day. Have a safe and wonderful trip! BTW, DS's room looks fantastic!

LivinInTheCastle, oooh! Your description of De Quervain's disease sounds very painful. I hope they can get you fixed up with something safe for the baby.

Sukie, I'm sending a prayer and a hug your way!

Thanks for all the well wishes on the pooch. I would have thought my DH would have been in a big hurry to get her surgery done but he came up with the idea of going to Corpus Christi for my birthday so her appointment has been delayed for a week so we can go ahead and leave her with them while we are gone and not have to take her there two separate times. It is not her favorite place but it's the only place we have to board her when we are out of town. I suppose I should be ashamed of myself on 2 levels.... for delaying the dog's surgery and going along with the plan to avoid our grandson's birthday party. The party is at DH's ex-wife's house so maybe I am not a total bum for wanting to skip out. If DH wants to use my birthday as a good excuse to be out of town who am I to argue? We probably shouldn't be going and spending the money but what the heck... it's for my birthday! And, I did have enough Marriot points to earn a free night at the hotel so that helped out some. So it looks like we are gonna go eat shrimp until we burst! So much for my diet.

Marie: We did get the Free Dining! I emailed DH this morning telling him that posters on the December code thread were calling in a getting it even before it was posted at the top of the DIS lastest news area. Since we are staying at Pop we get the Quick Service Dining Plan for free but can up-grade to the Basic Dining Plan if we pay $168. We decided to stick with the QS as we've had the other plan the last two trips and want to see how this will work out for us. We will pay-out-of-pocket for the Hoop and maybe Chef Mickeys. Still on the fence with that one. We've done the Hoop before and it was AWESOME! Kids loved it and DS11 wants to do it again. We did the Spirit of Aloha on the last trip and it was.....ehh. Much prefer the Hoop!

We will definitely have to see if we can work out a meet in there somewhere.

Well, the time had FINALLY come!

Just have to take out the one little trash bag, and change my clothes, and then...

I'm off to Scotland!!!

Evening ladies!

Have a great trip Wendy! Can't wait to hear all about it....

Pikester....congrats on free dining! Honestly, BF and I would consider changing our plans to go later in the year, its that amazing. But we've already bought our plane tickets, so we can't change anything.

Happy Birthday Marie! I don't blame you at all for getting out and enjoying your special day! I do hope doggie is feeling ok.

Seriously, my nephew will be the end of me. He's in Georgia with the rest of my brother's family. I just got the call that he lost both his phone and his wallet. He needs his ID to get on the plane to meet me in the city on Wednesday! So tomorrow I have to break into my brother's house, get my nephew's passport and express mail it to him in Georgia. He is indebted up to his eyeballs to me.

Millionaire stuff is going well. Went to the library this evening and took out a bunch of kids books. Its all the "Everything you ever wanted to know about...." kind of stuff. Desperate times for desperate measures. Originally, the car service was to take me back upstate immediately after the taping, but I asked to change it to the following morning. I'll stay at my sister's after the show and just meet the car to go back. My friend is coming up from Maryland Wednesday and I'm hoping to get him a ticket to be in the audience.

He's really not coming to cheer me on, its was just serendipity. He was planning to come visit that weekend anyway, we have a doll show on Saturday. He's lucky he's getting a free ride upstate with me. I'm hoping to win enough money to buy myself a new doll!

Working on my outfits. I need to bring three, in case the one I want to wear gets vetoed by my producer. Everything is such a big deal, its really making me nervous.

Addendum: I just read the official rules. I am presently FREAKING OUT! According to the paperwork, (are you ready for this?)
120,000/day attempted the phone audition
3% of 120,000 would get all 5 questions right (3600 people)
3600 X 11 days of auditions= 39600 persons eligible for Millionaire
55 people chosen!

Its a miracle I got this far!

Hi all, not planning on staying on to long, unfortunately my wrist is bothering me allot today. So bummed that I missed Wendy. I'm positive that she will have an awesome time though. So if I don't talk to you all too much this weekend, hope everyone has an awesome weekend.
