TKers Take the Fifth!

MagiKitty, You are lucky that you haven't changed too much over the years. Good luck with the renewed friendship. I hope her DH treats her better now so you don't have to voice your opinion again on what a louse he is!

Some of us NEEDED a major overhaul from what we used to be way back when! If I had stayed like I was there is no telling where I would be by now. I often think if how many times the good Lord probably saved my life when I was doing so many stupid things and hanging around with so many stupid people. I guess the biggest change, aside from the obvious physical, was finally acknowledging God in my life. Definitely a change for the better and it is amazing because with that came many, many blessed improvements! If I were to be in touch with very many people from my past they probably would not believe I could even be the same person.

Can I breath a sigh of relief now M&N? I laughed when I read that I was gonna take the blame if the 2 window system didn't work for you. disney54us, the 2 screen idea was my method that I shared for helping me when I post. When I pull up the TK thread I go ahead and open the Reply to thread in another tab. (right click on your page tab to do this and it will give you the options) Then I toggle back and forth between the two pages... reading and working on one of my long winded posts. Works for me very well because I can hardly ever remember what I just read much less who said it!

Well Marie, I have to blame someone! It can't be my typing!

Disney54us--Has Racer been brain washing you? She was a bad influence on you for sure. ;) I used to boo Jeff Gordon when I rooted for Dale Earnhardt Sr. I can bring myself to root for him now. I can't picture that happening with Kyle but I never say never!

OK Kitty...what about Big Brother??? I didn't watch it much last year but has anyone ever disobeyed the rules so much? I would not want to meet several of those girls in a dark alley! I need to look up the thread on it!

Hi everyone. I am home, just for tonite. At least I can sleep in my own bed! Mom and DD are here with me.

Dad is doing really well. He went for a walk in the hall today, with his nurse for company. (the nurses there are AWESOME!) The allergy doctor finally showed up about 5:30. They will take him tomorrow to do the aspirin protocol. He has to go to ICU for that so they can monitor him, and the dr said they usually like to start about 7:30 am, so he should be pretty far along when we get there for visiting at 11. The dr had to tell him all the possible things that could go wrong. How about "uncontrollable anaphylaxis"? :scared1: In other words, a severe allergic reaction that they can't control and he ends up intubated and on a ventilator! :scared1::scared1:

Needless to say, this raised our eyebrows. I told my Dad, "do NOT do anything like that tomorrow! You are NOT allowed to have problems!":lmao: I'm trying not to worry. We didn't tell DSis this part, as she would be a basket case. I hugged my Dad extra tight tonite when we left.

DSis should be at the hospital by about 5:30 or 6 tomorrow evening. So she will be there for when they do the stent on Thursday. (slight chance they might do it tomorrow late afternoon, but I highly doubt that)

I'll feel alot better when this is all done. Dad's roommate had it done and it was very successful. Only thing is, Dad will have to take one aspirin every single day for the rest of his life, no matter what. If he misses a day, then when he takes it the next day it could cause a reaction bad enough to kill him instantly! YIKES!:scared1:

So, that's my life. Not quite what I expected to be doing this week, but hopefully Dad will go home this weekend and we can get back to some semblance of normal.

BTW, I have decided that the ultimate comfort food is soft vanilla ice cream. That was our dinner tonite. It was yummy.

Hey Whgrn------I agree, vanilla is soothing. I know your jaws are probably tired from talking so ice cream was a good choice---just slides down! (Thought I would give you a banana to make a b'split) Get a good sleep in your own bed...

Good morning ladies! Hope its a good one for all of us...

Wendy, your Dad and family are in my prayers today! Glad that you like the nurses, that is so key. I'm finding the aspiring protocol very interesting...I too am allergic to aspirin. Let's hope he's not as sensitive and will take the protocol well. Glad DSis will be getting in tonight and be with you for the stent procedure. I bet you missed your bed too! When is DS coming home?

Ooh, let's have waffles with vanilla ice cream for breakfast....yum

I've been eating greek yougurt and its definitely growing on me. So far, I like the blueberry and pomegranate flavours best. Not quite as good as cream cheese, but at least I'm trying!

Good Morning,
Quick check in before I have to work.
All seems well in TKer land. :thumbsup2

Whgrn - Glad you Dad is doing well. Hope you got a good night's sleep in that bed of yours. There really is no place like home.
Enjoy your Dsis today! Have some more vanilla ice cream too.

Adios!

whgrn Will be thinking of your father.:flower3:

I'm doing my last load of :laundy: before the trip. Won't think about the pile to do after the trip. :rolleyes1 I think DH is excited, he's been getting up earlier because he can't sleep. He was up at 5 am today. He better sleep better on the trip. I don't want him getting up at 3 am!

Hi DL55! Congrats on the laundry! Did you solve your packing dilemma? What's the verdict? When exactly do you leave for Vancouver?

Thing is about laundry....there will always be more. Don't let it defeat you...show it who's the boss!

Hi MagiKitty, Plan to do the actual packing tomorrow. I worry about everything getting wrinkled. I don't want to iron. We leave Saturday morning for the airport. Suppose to get to Vancouver around 4:30. We have a layover in Salt Lake City.

Don't forget the daylight changes from being farther north.
We stopped in Iceland on the way to England years ago and we were really messed up with the sunrise and sunset times. We woke up at 3 and thought we had overslept and missed our tour because it was so light. We had not changed our watches and had no idea of the time difference anyway. We were feeling our washclothes and doing everything we could think of to figure it out! We weren't sure we would be able to survive our trip after that!!!

I killed the thread...

Hi Kerrie...I thought I was all alone...I was going to the CB and saw that I wasn't the last poster here and hurried back. How are you?

I'm good. I've been playing mafia wars and farmville on facebook tonight.

How are you?

This is so slow tonight. I like to have never got on to begin with. It loaded-the little bar at the bottom filled up and said done but I had a white screen for a long time. I was afraid the storm knocked me out or something. It thundered and rained for about an hour! I even turned off the tv. I had my flashlight ready but the lights just went off a couple of seconds.

I'm not on facebook. I probably should but there's really no one from my past that I would like to get in contact with me. I have enough time I spend on the computer without adding that.;)

I was going to watch the truck race tonight but the storm came up and now I can't get into it...there's been several wrecks. The Phillies were ahead by several runs so I hope they will win without me watching. I have several emails to write too.

Good grief it is slow! M&N, I hope your storm does not get too bad.

SCHBR'smom, I just started playing Farmville. I have done Farmtown for quite some time and thought I would see what the difference was. Have you ever done Farmtown? Maybe you can tell me? I haven't checked out Mafia Wars. How is that one?

I am just reading up e-mail and flipping back and forth between interesting forum posts.

I just started reading one about someone going to FL for a month and was wondering if it was cheaper to buy food at home or there? I was thinking of a sarcastic reply but decided not to...

Did you find anything good to read?
