What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Dinner tonight was at Ale&Compass (because we were bar hopping and it was time to eat, and that's where we were). I had the grilled pork chop with creamed spinach and roasted root veggie, which was parsnips. I love both of those veggies so was very happy with it. The pork chop? It was cooked all the way through, which is more than I really like, and had a sauce that I found salty. However, having had bariatric surgery I wasn't going to eat most of the chop anyhow, and the parts I did eat (near the bone) were good. The highlights for me were the spinach and parsnips. DH had catch of the day, which was a sauteed mahi mahi with corn puree, baby zucchini squash and tiny roasted potatoes. It Was Lovely. If we were staying longer, I'd go back and order this again. My food was fine, and worth the cost; DH's dinner was WONDERFUL. I would definitely go back again.

Ending up having a PB&J sandwich, then some pretzel crisps with a it of pimento cheese.

Tonight will likely be something just as easy. Pain is better (a 5/10 instead of a 7/10), but I don't have the energy. I may do some shrimp fried rice that is in the freezer. Need to use it as my freezer is packed atm after Costco last weekend.

Happy Friday! I have a long weekend!! We may get some snow this weekend and I don’t like driving in it so that will force me to use stuff we have.

Tonight I made Swedish meatballs (premade and frozen from a big batch I did before Christmas) over egg noodles for DH. I just had noodles and butter. We also had salad.

oops that was supposed to go on another thread :rotfl:
That's OK- I was happy to see it here! I was gonna keep checking the poll and now I don't have to!

Vacation's over and we are headed home. I'm sitting at BWI, waiting for my flight to PWM. DH and I just shared noodles, green beans, and some kind of chicken from LeeannChin. Yup, vacation is DEFINITELY over.

I love parsnips too; underrated veggie👍🏾

Bundled up and ran some errands in midtown yesterday. Hadn’t announced the trip in advance so D was a tad perturbed. She was happier when she realized Zara was having an up to 70% off sale…uhh so was I, lol. So we loaded up on goodies and then grabbed a table at an Irish pub for brisket and root veggie stew; reminded me of the Man’s idea of a perfect date when we first met.
