Hey JO---hiding your light again? I went to a local farmers market and flea market. It's only open on Tuesdays. Just drooled over the baked goods...did buy a small bag of caramel corn though. And some plums, pears, and grapes. I had enough peaches but they looked good. Hvae you ever frozen any peaches?

I'm not trying to hide. Dis has been working wonky for me for the last couple of days. Must be gremlins.

I've never frozen peaches or any other kind of fruit here. It never lasts long enough. We do have a 17 year old boy here. Nothing ever last long.

I would love to go to one of our local farmer's markets around here. Curt just works so much that it's hard to find the time. One of ours around here sells the most delicious cabbage pierogies. Nothing in the stores compares to them.

It was crowded but Patrick got us a good place. I was watching out for Debbie's walking...not really any steps to worry about though. But with so many people, I was trying to run interference. She goes to eye dr soon and hopes there's an improvement. She's not sure if there is or if she's getting more used to it!

I was wondering how she is doing. Was she ever able to start work at HP? I remember you said they would try to find her something.

She just found out she can get disability for a year...so she cannot chance working. She won't get money until end of the month but thinks it'll be retroactive. I think she can reapply if she doesn't get it back. It's through the state.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for her. I know from my SIL that disability can be a pain to get. I hope she has a quick resolution. Tell her I'm still thinking good thought for her.

M...nice to hear that you had some fun time with your friend. Hope the doctor sees some improvement. And congrats on getting disability, I'm sure that's a relief.

Just found out that a friend from the Phils will be in Ct. next month. Yeah! You'd think being across the globe from each other it would be difficult to see each other, but we've been quite fortunate to see each other once a year fairly regularly.

Its may rain tonight during my concert. Must dress appropriately. Raincoat and galoshes! Very excited though.

Need coffee and breakfast items.

Very humid and overcast here. Water is just hanging in the air. - Ugh! Break a sweat the min. you walk out the door.

JO - Wish you lived closer. I've got a farmer's market coming out of my garden. (no pierogies though - sorry). Been giving the neighbors cukes, carrots & tomatoes cuz I have so many. Beans should be ready in a week. You'd never believe this garden was pretty much devestated after the tornado and I had to replant new seeds (except for tomatoes). Its been a good year for growing.

M&N - glad to hear the update on your friend. Really hope she can get disability w/o too many problems. It will be one less thing for her to worry about.

We're hoping to go to the State Fair this weekend. Gotta go check out all the foods on a stick. I love grazing my way through the fair.

I just got really excited. I saw a white utility truck outside my house, thought Verizon had come to fix me early. No such luck. Its some petroleum company for my neighbor. Darn.

Its really humid here too. That's how I know its definitely going to rain later. I just hope its before the concert rather than during. I have covered seats, but I always feel bad for the lawn people.

Was it a premonition? The Verizon man just came by. The same Verizon man as last week. I guess we're becoming friends now. He found a faulty inside line and supposedly I should be ok now. We'll see.

Oh, and I found one of the handsets under the couch. I guess it was hiding.

Wet underpants, free or not, are uncomfortable. But you may be onto something....I should pack a spare pair tonight!
