Hello Ladies!!! Weather was totally hot and humid here today. It's still 80 degrees here. But Curt and I got in our nightly game of badminton. Since none of the kids wanted to play, we played while holding a glass of beer. Made things interesting trying not to spill it. As you can see, we don't have much of a life anymore.

DL55, you really need to give me tips on how to keep people away from my house. I swear everytime I turn around someone is knocking on the door.

D&D, thanks for sending the humidity here. I even broke out into a sweat just walking to get the mail today. Take it back, please??????

M&N, did you see that it was reported that Sadler's wreck was the hardest ever recorded by Nascar? I saw they posted numbers from a Kyle Petty wreck a few years ago and that was recorded at 80 G's. How much worse was Sadler's?

JO: Whenever there are really bad wrecks during a race my DH remembers a wreck that Micheal Waltrip(I think) had where his car completely fell apart. It left him sitting on the track with his car just laying there around him.

That would have been at Bristol. There is a gate that on the outside of the track wall so the cars can get inside. They forgot to lock it and he hit it at just the right (wrong) spot for it to open. Split his car completely. It actually happened to another guy a few years later in the exact same place.

Good morning ladies! And glad you finally found us Mere! Thought we lost you in the move!

Another hot and sweltering here. It actually ended up not raining last night, which was fantastic. I had the best seat last night. And no one sat next to me. There were some annoying drunkards, but they were across the aisle. Probably the most disturbing was a visibly pregnant woman getting caught smoking pot and being asked to leave. Otherwise, I'm so glad I went. Train was awesome...just jumping around and enjoying the crowd. John Mayer truly is a gifted musician, even if he's a bit lacking in the personality department.

Its my weekly attempt at running errands Thursday. Have to head to the bank, but feeling kinda lazy at the moment. Guess still tired from the concert. Didn't get home until nearly one. Getting out of the parking lot was hellish. Too many silly teenage girls randomly walking around.

LITC...I better get one of the photos! And I never made it to Target the other day...maybe next week.

JO---how's the household doing? You and your DH should be sainted for dealing with so much at once. Glad you have some down time with badminton and beverages!

Just came back from a day with my mom. Always think its going to be nice seeing my mom w/ the kids - JUST OURSELVES. Well, my stupid sis always has a way of making an appearance. Ruins everything. My family has this way of making you feel bad about yourself w/o actually saying it..."You're going to wear that?" or "Why would you do that?" Ugh!!! Go AWAY!!! I didn't ask your opinion. Silly me for thinking I might enjoy time w/ my mom w/o her bodyguard. Oh...then my mom says Why don't you come over more often??"

Hey---TKers are THE Best! Had computer woes...no one here knows anything about computers. I tried JO's cell to ask her to post my Yahoo picks this week! That's important. I thought I would have to get a new computer...had a blue screen with info I know nothing about but have always heard blue screens are the kiss of death. But I could still do everything but get on aol. To make a long, confusing story short, Jo's cell wasn't on...knew Kitty was away...but I also have D&D's cell so I tried it...she was there! So she gave me a shoulder to complain to and explained what some abbreviation means. So we figured it wasn't the computer but just aol. She also said she would post on fb so JO wouldn't worry about me! Anyway, I bravely try again...change some things...and I got on!
So HI everyone! don't know what I would do without you! I don't want to know what I would do without you.

D...sorry to hear about the visit with family. I think its sweet that you're so optimistic. Who knows, maybe you'll be surprised one day...but its important that your kids have some sort of relationship with their family. Hugs girl. I know how tough things can be with family.

And my Mom still says "are you going to wear that?" too. As if the fact that the clothes were already on my body wasn't a big enough hint that YES, I am going to wear this!

M&N, we all got you covered with your computer issues. Sorry, I wasn't able to get to my cell....I usually keep it off if I'm home. But you have my house number now.

Things are kinda wonky around here. Heck, they are more than wonky. In-laws have been here almost a month and Curt and I hate it more and more each day. I truly feel like I am running a hotel. I told Curt tonight that we have to set a time limit that they are going to live here. We'll see how that goes.

We are planning a big picnic here over Labor Day weekend. I sent my dad an email to invite him. I've had a pretty bad relationship with my dad since we moved. He has yet to call me at all and when I would call his house, I never got a return call. Decided to bite the bullet and send him an email. Made nice (and y'all know that can be hard for me), told him how I miss him and the kids do too. This man always answers his emails in hours. It's been 2 days and not a word. Not even a we'll see type of reply. He don't talk much to my brother anymore either. I guess it's true when they say when people remarry, their new family takes over their life.

Families! I don't have a lot to deal with there and sometimes it is a blessing! But at other times, it would be nice to have someone there. But I can see from here, they are not always there when you want them and are there when you don't! That's life! Ups and downs---downs and ups!

We are family here. Through everything that we all have been through, we always have each others' back. And a hug to share, tears to be shed, laughter and smiles, and there is always room on the ***** bench.
