Last year we got some "real" snow. I wonder if it will be a trend?

Big score of the day---formal gowns! Now, if I ever get invited to the Oscars, I'll be ready. Its so hard to find big girl formal wear that doesn't look matronly, so I had to scoop them up. One from JCPenney (which always reminds me of you, M!) is a black strapless floor length gown with white piping and a scarf. very fancy. I'm thinking of shortening it to tea length, because that's far more practical. Any missteps of stepping on my gown may have a b**b incident--and believe me, no one wants to see that!

Wendy, did you check the phone bill yet? Did the kids enjoy their day in the city?

MK, we're gonna have to talk. I will need a formal gown for DD's Sweet 16 in Sept. I don't want to look "Mother of the Bride-ish", and I also don't want to look like I'm trying to look 25.

DD made quite a few calls to friends, but it looks like she only ever got through once, as all calls but one were 1 minute or less. They had a great time in NYC.. DS called me 4 times--from Ground Zero, from Rockafeller Center, from the Lego store, and one other time.

Oh yeah, I took DS to Target today to get school pix taken. He missed both picture days at school. I got a better picture than any school picture he's ever had, at less than 1/2 the price for the package! Of course, they were mobbed, and we got taken for our 1:00 appointment at 2:10...

And the pix will be in on Friday! WAY better than waiting a month or more for the ones from school.

I wanna spend Christmas in Jamaica!! (insert whine)

The parade was great lots of kids with red noses because of the cold. The hot choc and peppermint schnapps helped make it bearable.

We're being hammered by "Lake Affect" snow up to around a foot. Went to see Harry Potter with DS today which mean a 30 min drive to the next town...was an interesting trip with the snow drifts across the highway.

Just a quick hello to everyone. Walter is having teething problems still so I have been pretty preoccupied. He has also developed a diaper rash and woke up today froma nap screaming in pain. Poor baby!

Please don't be offended by the plus-size...but if you have any sort of bust or hips, you may have to go up a size or two and get it fitted. I don't know why women's clothes never account for hips and booty!

One of the dresses I bought has a padded bust. I'm like, REALLY? so unnecessary. Why couldn't they have built in a girdle and some duct tape to get me into it!

It was darn cold! Its creepily quiet outside. No one wants to go out during the first snow. Its on the ground, but not much of it, little more than a dusting.

I felt yucks this morning when I woke, but had some Catholic guilt at Church and decided I really have no reason to feel that way. Was worried that a mid-life crisis was coming on. Which would be rather exciting in a way, because I would be spectacular at it!

I had a good dance party today. Was feeling especially pudgy after some mashed potatoes. The new Glee album is really good!

How was the weekend in your neck of the woods? When is Curt back?
