you too? I swear, the snow makes it too cold for even time to pass....

I thought it was just me.

I've been trying to get up earlier so I get tired earlier but I feel just as awake as always.

We watched How To Train Your Dragon the other night along with Ramona & Beezus. Both movies actually had the kids sitting quietly. I just might have to go out and buy these two.

I'm excited for Shrek to come out. I'd like the get the pack with all four movies. But the weather is supposed to be crappy this week. Target has the best price for them, but I don't see myself getting out there.

I heard how to Train your Dragon was good. I'd like to see that one too.

I'd like to see Shrek too. And of course, Eclipse now that I've read the books.

sshh...I have a bootleg copy of Eclipse that I've had for about a month. I really like the third movie the best so far.

I won't tell since we were suppose to get a copy the same way. I just never called the guy about it because he annoys me.

I've only watched them recently but just about fell asleep during New Moon. Glad to hear the newest one is pretty good.

well, Jacob is shirtless in a lot of it, so I definitely enjoyed it (maybe a little TOO much)

I can deal with a shirtless Jacob but I better not watch the movie with Jackie. It will embarrass her to see mom drooling over the same guy as her.

ah, she's young. They're embarrassed by everything at that age!

Yep, I've learned to just keep my mouth shut when it comes to cute boys.

Curt's in Philly so only another hour.

Just heard on FB that a high school classmate of mine passed away. He's the first one of our class. We only had 88 people, so its really sad. We went to church together. He was such a good man. I'm sad for him and his family, especially at this time of year.

So sorry MK. I remember when we lost our first classmate. we were still in college, he was killed in a motorcycle accident. Since then, of course, many have left us--happens more and more when we hit middle age and beyond.

Curt's in Philly so only another hour.

YAY!!:cool1:

yay for you! Are the kids still awake or will they be surprised in the morning?

Oh Ev...I'm so worried about lactating. Already in a D cup, don't want to go much bigger. Difficult enough to find cute bras in my size.

If it makes you feel any better I am also that size and mine only went up one size the whole time.

Hope springs eternal!!

Love the first one, and DD gave it her stamp of approval. I definitely do not want black--I look like I died and forgot to fall down! And don't worry about the plus size. If I keep eating my niece's cooking, I'll be a 3X by the time I have to buy the dress!:scared1:

OK idea people--DD is going to a Christmas party next Friday. She has to bring a grab bag gift worth up to $25 (so, like, $24-$25...:lmao:) What on earth should she get? This is a bunch of 14-16 year old girls. Special ed kids, so mostly on the immature side. I am so clueless, as DD is such a total tomboy, and what she would want would not interest most of them at all. Jo, what would your DD want?

What about one of those nail polish kits? Comes with several colors, nail files, etc. They can be pretty decked out.

Yeah! I'm glad you found something that you liked. I thought the price point was good too. Its a gorgeous dress. The color will look amazing on you!

Hmm...presents for teenage girls. I know they like lots of little things....so maybe a cute mirror, some lip gloss, or a change purse? How about a cool scarf?

LITC was kind enough to tell me that McDonalds Happy Meals have Hello Kitty watches! I went today, and while I didn't get a HK watch, the puppy I got (called Sugarbunnies) are really cute too....that would also be a good stocking stuffer!

Sounds like St. Nick was really good to you D! That ornament sounds adorable! Picture please! I had the Weeble house when I was little. I miss it so.

The casino's free gift this week is a car seat warmer. I'm re-gifting it to my Mom. She's gonna love it. They also gave me a free lotto ticket (not a winner) and a pastry (black and white cookie) for my birthday. And my free play.

Which I turned into $250! Yahoo! Now I may get an even nicer shredder for BF. Or else it'll just go into the vacation fund.

If I happen to go to McD while they still have them I will ask if they have Kitty for you. I try not to eat there too often as I usually end up with a upset tummy from the grease.

Hey guys. I've been trying to clean up messes to find several things I know I bought for Christmas and several things I can't find since vacation. the story of my life. I may just have to go get another 2011 pocket calendar...I cannot live without one. I did have several things in it already too!
I got a few things done tonight. I've been working on the Christmas cards. I should not have been organizing my Disney pins.
I am making a list of what I have to do tomorrow. Will the Shrek dvd still be on sale this week? I want the final one and the Donkey one that's with it. I do have the other 2. I loved Ramona and Beezus...didn't see the dragon one but I wanted to.
I hope Walter is feeling better...both ends!
I guess Curt's almost home. I hope this doesn't mean he'll be away more at Christmas...does he have 24th off too?

Hey M&N! Curt should be home really soon. Not sure if he'll have off the 24th or be driving home that day. Depends on the weather.

And you got a lot in that one little post of yours. :lmao:

Wendy,
Your card arrived to day. My first one :-) this year. Mine are sitting on the table but I have to put them together.

BTW Ladies....if you didn't know it Wendy does BEAUTIFUL Paper folding designs, you should see her work. It's fabulous.

I was thinking about nail polish too.
Haley and her friends love it they have also been raiding Target and getting GREAT things for good prices.

This was on the top of their lists.

Women's Harajuku Lovers by Gwen Stefani 5-pc. Rollerball Gift Set
They will probably switch out/trade their faves. :-)

Here are some more:

If we go with polish Haley is making these for them:

and adding a nail file, a toe ring and/or anklet to go with them.
Here is a link for the pattern.
http://familyfun.go.com/Resources/global/printables/crafts/1003_stocking_foot.pdf

Using felt and fabric glue makes it a great holiday craft.

You can print it out tape it together and cut fabric (felt) or if it's too big reduce size then print.

1. Cut 1 bare foot shape from each piece of the gold felt .

2 Cut 5 circles from the colored felts for the toenails.

3. Put a line of fabric glue along outer edges and along the base before the toes begin (you don't want items going down into the toes)

4. Glue toenails on to stocking.

5. Fold down the top to make a cuff.

6 The Trimmings:

To make: Thread pony beads onto a 24-inch piece of colored embroidery floss, wrap it around the ankle, and tie together the ends.

7. Tape the ends of the cord to keep it from fraying, then sew it to the stocking for hanging.

Holly's Note: you can buy cute bracelets @ the dollar store. to hang on stocking and use as hanger

6. You can afix a loop of felt or ribbon to make a hanger. Glue then safety pin, or sew with dental floss(yes, dental floss because it's strong)

Sorry to post and run.
I hope everyone has a good night's sleep and all their loved ones are/will be soon tucked in safe and sound. (especially Walter-poor thing teething is nasty stuff)

Not feeling well. I have a cold and the sweats and chill in the house (we're getting into the high 20's tonight) is not going to help. I can't get sick(er) before DD's concert tomorrow and the trip.

I'll check back in in the am when I can drink hot coffee.:surfweb:

Night all.

Good morning ladies! Brr...its cold outside! Its only supposed to get into the 20s today. Its snowing with those pretty fat flakes. I'm not buying it, Mother Nature. No matter how pretty you make it, it still sucks out there. But the town is on top of it, the sanders have been going by pretty frequently.

M...sounds like you were quite productive last night! I know I still have some presents stashed away somewhere, not sure where to look. Have to sit down and really do the Christmas cards too.

I'm interested in Shrek, and I think that Target has the best deals on it, if I remember correctly. granted, Walmart has been giving me grief about it, but they do pricematch printed advertisements, if you can't get to Target. I'm hoping for some birthday loot and I'll get the DVDs too.

Bopsmom...hope you're feeling better. I know these are exciting times for you, with the trip coming up, but maybe you should take a breather and rest up. Once you hit Disney, its go, go, go! Enjoy some tea, maybe do some reading.

I love the Burts Bees stuff too! Its either them or the Bath and Body works lip glosses. And you can usually find decent coupons for B&BW too. (disclosure: BF hates the menthy glosses. he thinks they're gross)

JO---Curt arrived safely? Everyone enjoying the surprise return?

I'm trying to convince myself to clean for the DirecTv cutie's arrival on Thursday. Not really motivated, can't you tell?

I love the stocking thing...I'm passing it on...I have no teen girls to buy for but I do have crafty friends!

We've got sun but cold. Orlando is in 50's and that's cold for them. 30's the past 2 nights! I know they will have on winter coats! My friend used to not understand why they would want a winter coat down there but she says for maybe 3 times a year, they are really needed! And it's not officially winter yet!

I'm not motivated today but really must get going. I cleaned up files on my computer this am---doesn't do much for the look of the house or getting ready for Christmas though.

I like Burt too!

Just throw the piles in a room the Direct TV cutie won't see! My luck, they would send the ugly one! :rotfl:

It may have to come to my throwing things around. Most of the stuff that's cluttering up the living room IS Christmas stuff. Lots of wrapping, boxes, tissues, unwrapped gifts. I guess I should get going on that.

Plus, I have boxes to send to the Phils.

early Happy B treat for me....I went ahead and ordered the Toy Story Trilogy and the Shrek the Whole Story. I would order from Target, but even with the AAA 10% off, Walmart still was cheaper. I'm using my winnings from yesterday to pay for it, so thanks casino!

The one time we were in Orlando in December, it was WAY cold! Perfect excuse to buy a Disney sweatshirt though. But it was in the 40s and just not my idea of Florida weather. On days like this, though, 40s would feel like a heatwave!
