TINKGURL & XOKTENOX Conquer Walt Disney World in July~A PTR--UPDATE 8/1

Great plans! The bird show is really cool...we saw it for the first time this trip and I got a kick out of it. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't seen it.

Kali River Rapids is fun. Hopefully you don't get too soaked.

tinkgurl, do you think your dad would video the slow-mo run and all the tears and hugging for us???

Pretty please with sugar on top?

There's so much going on in just those two days alone! I'll be at church camp, slaving away over a hot stove, and cracking about as many eggs as the workers at Crystal Palace that morning. ::yes::

As for Animal Kingdom, the safari is a must, of course, and he'd probably like to see the animals on both trails, as well as out at Rafiki's. There's The Boneyard, of course, where he could run some energy off. If you go over the bridge in that, you'll be in the dino digging section. It's not sand, so you don't have to worry about him getting ears and eyes and clothes filled with sand. They have these tiny little pebble things. Brooklynn loved it, and so did our little boy cousins. Triceratop Spin is like Dumbo, only prehistoric ;), so if he likes Dumbo, he'll like that. Lion King and Nemo - although Nemo is a tiny bit long, maybe for him to sit. How old is he now?

Tusker House, Pizza Planet, Cosmic Ray's, Earl o' Sammy, the luau....they all sound wondrous!!! :dance3:

Kristen - a big old YAY :cool1: for park hoppers! You will love the freedom to go wherever whenever!

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty excited about your plans!

I agree, Kristen is going to love her park hoppers!!

Haha, I'm sure there will be like 20 pics of us meeting.

He's 3, 4 in November. So it isn't sand?! That's good to know, because we had that one crossed off because we did not want to deal with all that! :headache:

Your plans look great!!! I can't wait to read about you 2 meeting each other in person. :goodvibes

Thanks!!

Not sand. It's little tiny, tiny pebbles. I have a close-up somewhere in the midst of my October pictures, I think, so when I find it, I'll show you. EVen if you don't go over to that side, The Boneyard itself is a fun place for a little one to run, climb, and slide for a few minutes. There are some good photo ops, too.

Pictures will be good, but a slow-mo video would be hilarious! :rotfl:

Okay, thanks MeMom!

Haha, I'll see what I can do!

Great plans!! I've wanted to try the luau for awhile (that all you can drink is a pretty great perk! :rolleyes1)-- hope you guys have a great time! Can't wait to hear all about it. Also, Kristen, after having park hoppers, you'll never want to go without! The freedom they give is the BEST!

I hope you try the Luau out! My group does it every year! I'm so excited to be there for Kristen and Chris's first time!

Your plans are looking good so far! The Luau sounds great, especially if it turns out to be a loopy one

Morning, Ladies!! Hope you two are staying out of trouble :)

Anymore plans for us??

Your plans sound great!! Hope someone is snapping away when you two actually meet!!!

Tink- I think people have given you good suggestions of what to do in AK. Camp Minnie Mickey, FOTLK, Neno, Dinoland, Rafiki's PW.

Kristen... for $33 I'd leave early!!!!! I found a cruise out of NY to the Bahamas at the end of May for 8 days $579pp. I wish I could go on that one!! popcorn::

Is Neno where you go, when you're loopy before you ever get to a Luau??

I guess they could try Neno. It might be cool! :cool1:

Are you trying to get me back????? I left your 'running in front of one' comment alone.. didn't I? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

At least the n & m are next to each other. ;)

You've got me laughing pretty hard now! Did you ever watch Double Indemnity?? It is a MUST SEE film noire (old black and white) with Barbara Stanwick and Fred McMurry. Run and get it. No, I mean it. RUN and get it. Insurance scams, murder, and little men. but not aliens. You'll get a kick out of the character named Neno.

I can't say I've seen that movie. But I did recognize a word from my past- noire! LOL

I just watched the trailer... Lot different from the trailers today. LOL TRAILER

All the plans look great so far! That is so awesome that you guys finally get to meet!

Here are the little pebbles I was telling you about in The Boneyard. They're like what you'd put in the bottom of a fish tank, maybe.

Here's the area.

Brooklynn, Carson, and Parker loved it, so I'm guessing your little guy will too, if you have time to check it out.

Ladies the plans sound great! It's so neat and exciting you will all finally get to meet!

As for things at AKL with lil kids definitely Camp Minnie n Mickey(lots of cute shows and meet n greets) and Dinoland,
Rafiki's Planet watch it's really neat back there and there is a petting zoo!
Birds in Flight is really cool if your not freaked out by birds that are low flying like me ! lol.!!

NOOOO chance of getting me into FLights of Wonder lol

If everyone is going on Kali River rapids the lil guy probably can't unless he's pretty tall if he doesn't meet the height requirement then right across from Kali River Rapids while whoever chooses to wait with him there are bathrooms but right in front of the bathrooms there is all kinds of waterjets he can play in! He will stay occupied! My lil niece had a blast with them! While we waited for the gang to get off kali because she's a shortie and very tiny for her age she didn't meet the height requirement.

Thanks for the tips Colleen :)

If you never have done the parade there its great!

We did it in December!

Kristen definitely do Kali River Rapids but you may want to wear a bathing suit under neath you will definitely get super soaked if your in the right spot! never the less you will be really wet! lol. Before I forget Congrats on the weight loss!!! Keep up the good work:)

Yes good idea!! And thank you!

Now I have to go make sure I'm caught all up! :thumbsup2

Your plans sound so fun, and I'm sure it will be so great to finally get to see each other!

I'd vote for just getting to know each other all over again over at the POly! They will be tired, and will probably just want to relax!

We're so excited!! Relaxing at the Poly is great so we'll definitely won't be upset if we're all too tired for a park.

Why do I have a sneaking suspiscion, you'll be loopy before you ever get there??? :lmao:

:confused3 :rotfl2: Not us!

I think that would be HILARIOUS! We're really going to try to get someone to capture it on video!

Anymore plans for us??

We're trying :) More plans coming up. We're both so busy with it being the end of the semester.

Your plans sound great!! Hope someone is snapping away when you two actually meet!!!

Someone better be snapping away when we meet. It was an extra $33 each and now its up to $35...Chris is already a little annoyed at the price of this trip so asking him for more money is likely to start WWIII :sad2: I'm hoping for a DING! from SW.

All the plans look great so far! That is so awesome that you guys finally get to meet!

We're so excited!

Sorry that we haven't had much to say or chances to update! We're both in graduate school and are extra busy with the end of the semester approaching. I just handed in a 137 page unit plan today and have two presentations to do next week. I know tinkgurl's been just as busy with presentation and now getting ready for her finals. I have like 2 weeks of classes left and for her, next week is classes and the following week is finals. We promise when it's over we'll update more often! Also, tink wanted me to mention the end of May is high school graduation for her Sis!

Thanks for hanging in there with us and stay tuned for some good stuff. We're down into the 80s day range now! :yay: :dance3: :woohoo:
