First timer. We are seeing the Festival of Lion King at 12pm. Run time says 30 minutes. We have a 12:45 lunch reservation at Rainforest. Is that enough time to walk across the park? We have a 3 year old but he’ll be in a stroller. Not sure if the stroller will make getting out of the Lion king take longer.

Is ur show at 12 or ur fp? Typically ur FP time is before the show, like 15 minutes.

Getting from there to front not a huge time but I’d move ur time a bit. And you can call direct n not leave a deposit thru disney.
Enjoy yummy food n fun place.

The FastPass for the show says arrive between 11:30-11:45 and the show starts at 12. Think we still need to move it? I don’t even know if they had another time available.

I think you'll be fine. The challenge is the crowd leaving after the show. Sit toward the floor or near an exit, if possible. You can be a few minutes late without the restaurant canceling your ressie. Enjoy!

Great. Thanks for the advice!

No, not move your fastpass. Move your Rainforest cafe res a little. You don't need to use Disney's line to make the res, you can call the restaurant directly, or do it online.

With how slowly crowds move, I think you will be late. Maybe not very, but why not just change it to a little later to remove stress.
Also, worthwhile to join the Landy's club. https://www.rainforestcafe.com/selectclub.asp

Yes, move your reservation back if you can. Disney actually asks you arrive 10 minutes prior to your ADR. And there is no way you can do that.

It is also not a given that it is ok to be late. It probably is. But depending on it is a bad idea. If the restaurant is busy you could end up with a very long wait for a table. They could decide you have missed your spot and just fit you in whenever they can.

Agree moving ur lunch 15 minutes n you ll be just fine. Enjoy.

Are you the DDP? If not, I highly recommend getting a Landry's Select Card. It's $25, but that $25 goes toward your bill. The card gives you priority seating whenever you show up at Rainforest (or Y&Y). That way, when you exit Lion King, you can make your way to Rainforest at your leisure. You don't need an ADR.

Be aware - if you haven’t gone - that Rainforest is noisy with thunder, lightning, etc. Unless you have your heart set on it, you can get a better meal and environment for the 3 yr old at Yak and Yeti.

I’m sorry. I’m not sure what DDP is. I’ve also never heard of Landry’s? Is it a dining club? Priority seating means we won’t wair?

Rainforest, T-Rex and Yak and Yeti are not owned by Disney they are owned by Landry's. The system they use is different than what Disney uses. A far as a reservation is concerned it is first come first served so in other words you will not take priority over the walk up that gets there 2 minutes before you but they can still turn walk ups away should there be enough reservations. The exception is those who have the Landry's card -- you can visit the rainforest site to find out more- they take priority over all so you walk up check in and you will get the next table even if there are 20 people with reservations or walk ups waiting. In the end making a reservation at Rainforest (or the others above) only guarantees you will eat there but not when you could wait an hour or more from your reservation time. On a personal side I have never made reservations for any of the 3 nor do I have a Landry's card and never waited more than 15 minutes even on busier times... BUT I have read other nightmare stories even with reservations. I would say if you want to eat at a popular time, which you do, your best way is to get the Landry's card and cancel your reservation.

Should be enough time and you wont be seated right away at 12:45 even if you are early. Expect to probably still wait about 10-15 mins to be seated so dont worry about trying to rush over there.
