Time between Flights

Hi, lots of questions from me today

I have only flown direct flights, and am hoping I can change my flights today. Is 53 minutes enough time between flights? If I am using magical express, do I just check my bags at the first airport, or do I have to run and pickup luggage, and check it again?
Just me and m two year old, so I am trying to see what would be the best idea....thanks!

Unless you are changing airlines in addition to airplanes, your luggage will be checked through to your final destination. If you use ME, you won't see the checked luggage again until after you are in your room.

53 minutes between flights should be plenty of time. What is the intermediate airport? Smaller hubs are obviously easier to make changes than are the larger ones. Generally, you need at least 30 minutes between flights. Personally, I like a little more than that. 45 -60 minutes is a more comfortable amount of time for me.

Change planes in Atlanta. The flight will get us there 8 hours earlier, its a bit of a waste of a day with the flight we have now that will get us into Orlando a little before 6pm.
Of course it means boarding planes at 6am, but I dont sleep the night before a trip to Disney anyways.
Will I be able to navigate through ATL at a good pace?
