This may be a dumb question, but I want to make sure I’m not messing something up. Our plan was to go for 4 days starting on Monday, BUT the second day we’re going to do an after hours party. Can we buy a 3 day ticket + party ticket and use the tickets M/W/Th and the party (after 4) on T? Just wanted to make sure when we enter MK on Tuesday after 4 they wouldn’t count that as one of our days on top of the ticket.

Thanks!

Yes, just be sure when you go to the party that you enter through the correct area. There will be a crowd hanging around the party entrance tap points and CM to guide you. You can’t just go in any old place.

Any hints of a discounted multi-day ticket at WDW for the fall? I'm thinking maybe when the current one expires on 9/28.

Question on upgrading park tickets to an annual pass as it relates to blockout dates. We are going Jan. 2-6, 2025. I may have several other trips coming up in 2025 such that it makes sense to get an annual pass, and the Sorcerer Pass looks like it will work for all of those trips EXCEPT that Jan. 2 is a blockout date for that pass. Could I purchase 3 or 4 day park tickets for our January trip, start using them on Jan. 2 and then upgrade while I am there (say, on Jan. 3) to a Sorcerer Pass? I understand that if you upgrade park tickets the annual pass start date goes back to the first day you used the park tickets. Will it be a problem if that date is Jan. 2, a blockout date for the pass I want to upgrade to? Thanks!

You cannot upgrade to a pass that doesn’t include dates you entered the park. You would have to upgrade to a pass that has that date as acceptable admission

I originally posted this in the community board, suggested I come here.

I have a question for tickets, arriving Nov 4 for up to 6 days total admission but could be happy with just 2-3 days. If we buy date based tickets for 6 days but decide not to use all days, would we be able to get a credit against a purchase of a future Florida annual pass? We are out of state but hope to become residents again soon, house is for sale, thought we would be living there by now! Looking for advice for the best thing to do. Thanks for any assistance.

Short answer no.

Unused ticket days expire at the date that your ticket mentions (a few days after the sixth day). WDW will not give you a credit for unused days. But, you can upgrade to an annual pass before the ticket expires and apply the value of the ticket towards an annual pass. However, unless you already have a Florida ID, you will not qualify for a Florida resident AP.

The answers on the Community Board were correct.

WDW tickets have an expiration date. Any unused entitlements are lost after that expiration date. You select a "start date" for your tickets, and expiration is based on the length of ticket from that start date:
a 2-day ticket expires after 4 days
a 3-day ticket expires after 5 days
a 6-day ticket expires after 6 days
You may upgrade within that window up to and including the day you use the last valid entitlement.

So if you will be FL Residents and want to upgrade on your trip, that's perfectly do-able. If you won't be buying an AP for a few months after this visit, there is no value in purchasing extra days on your ticket that won't get used.

Hello! I noticed on MDE that it didn't have my park tickets from my Dolphin package that I had paid in full. I chatted online and they told me I was showing room only and I would have to call to get it fixed. I called and the cast member said I am now showing as a package and hubby and I each now have a "Park Planning Pass" under our names. He said those are our tickets. I am skeptical and wanted to come here and as y'all if that is true. If not, when do we get our tickets that are linked to our package? I have never stayed at the Dolphin before, wondering if that is the reason? I've always stayed at Pop and my tickets were always listed in MDE. Help??

I believe you'll get the tickets upon check-in at the Dolphin. The "planning pass" will allow you to do things like advanced LL.

For corroboration, ask on the Swan/Dolphin/Reserve thread, https://www.disboards.com/threads/w...eserve-resorts-information-questions.3264274/.

Is there any issue with purchasing tickets after arrival if we are staying on site? We aren't interested in purchasing Lightening Lane Multi-pass or Single Pass.

You can wait until you arrive at WDW, but I’d buy online (via MDE on my phone) rather than in person at a ticket window. I think it’s something like $20 extra per ticket to buy in person!

Hello! I originally posted this question in Theme Parks Strategy thread. Didn’t get a definitive answer. This may be a better place. Does anyone know if you can use your Disney Rewards Visa points towards a WDW AP? Thanks!

We will be there for a week and were hoping they would offer something. Even, if it excluded holidays. We will try exploring other things in the area and maybe the space center this trip.

Yes, it works like a gift card.
Do you have to make a park reservation if you have the WDW Annual pass?
Yes. If you are staying offsite the number of days you can reserve is set by the annual pass that you have. If you are staying on site, you can make reservations for your length of stay.
