Annual Pass price increase question-
We are considering getting annual passes for the first time for Feb. and Nov. 2025 trips. we are DVC members. Is there a pattern to when prices increase? I want to decide and buy (or not buy) before they go up. Thanks
(on a side note - people noting how expensive the tickets are now are not wrong - yikes!)

No pattern set in stone. I can’t remember when the last increase occurred, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one was implemented this fall, and I read a RUMOR (I have no insider knowledge!) that it might be on October 9. So if you have the $$, I’d buy now. You can hold the vouchers in your MDE until you activate them when you enter your first park in February.

The last two years it has been the first 2 weeks of October when it was announced. I remember this because our renewal date has been October 27 (60 days before December 26) so we always get hit with the price increase. This year we are going to buy tickets for our December trip and then purchase our AP before our trip next October. It'll put us at a better renewal period (in our mind).

I believe the last AP increase was in December October 2023, but I also would not be surprised if an increase comes any time this fall.

Hello! So many things have changed recently so I just want to ask a question. I let my AP expire and need a new one , didn’t think I wanted to renew but now I’m regretting it. I bought 5 day hoppers for an upcoming trip. Can you still go to guest relations and have them apply the amount of the 5 day hopper to your AP?

Hi, wondering what everyone is predicting for a summer 2025 magic ticket. This would be ideal for my family for next summer. Is the best plan for now just to wait on buying park tickets and only book a room reservation?

I am debating which ticket I should book. I have a trip that falls in line with a Magic Kingdom After Hours but the no AP/DVC discount turned me off from the idea. Now when I am looking the ticket price for the week we are going there is going to be extended evenings hopefully on Wednesdays still. That ticket is $184 while the ticket for After hours is $185 most likely for this day. For $1 more you don't get as long as a day at Magic Kingdom with extended hours but the opportunity to ride Tron with standby or Tiana's if we have luck on our side with standby makes an after hours more appealing. What are your thoughts?

I should know this, but the majority of our WDW tickets have been APs, This year, we'll like just have a 3 day park hopper. I know we have to pick a start date, but if we pick like Tuesday to start, but don't actually go to a park until Wednesday, will that create any sort of problem? like if starting on Tues is cheaper than starting Wed? but we'll still only get 5 days to use them, starting with Tuesday? Thanks, sorry, dumb question, but don't usually have dated tickets.

Nope, no problem at all, as long as the length of time the tickets are valid covers the dates you want to use them. We just bought tickets for our January trip. They start two or three days before our checkin date, but the last day we can use them is the last day we’ll be in the parks, so we’re good. We’ve done this before.

Yes, you can still upgrade regular tickets to an AP. The AP will be back-dated to the first date you used the 5-day PH (so there is no benefit to waiting until your last day to upgrade).

This past year the 4-Park Magic Ticket offer came out in mid-March. Whether it will be offered again is anyone's guess, though it has been offered each of the past 2 summers so quite possible to be offered again. I'd say you have time to wait and see if it's offered, but just be aware regular ticket prices could increase slightly between now and then. You can either book a room-only resort reservation or a ticketless package reservation.

We will be using our old non expiring tickets in November. They are on MDE app and all is good on that part. My question is this…. The last time we used these tickets was over 10 years ago. I don’t have any clue what finger was used to scan into the parks. Is that still a thing? As my son who is going with us is now 21 years old and was 8 the last time he scanned in. Just didn’t know if finger scan is still done and will it be a problem if we don’t remember which finger was scanned originally. 😂

Has anyone had luck bridging a discounted 3rd Party Seller ticket in a park and receive that date's gate price of the ticket as credit towards the AP?

That's not how it works anymore, not since dated tickets began. You can upgrade a ticket purchased at discount through a 3rd party reseller, and the credit is equal to what WDW sold that same ticket online on the date you purchased from the 3rd party. So you retain whatever original discount you may have received, but if a ticket increase occurs between when you bought your ticket and when you upgrade you'll pay that increase.

Hello! If you have a date based 6 day hopper with resort reservation package and you want to upgrade to AP, will it affect the LLMP or LLSR you have booked and paid for prior to your trip if you upgrade on 1st day of use? Hope that makes sense😊

I bought Florida resident annual passes. It asked for Florida verification when I was buying them. Can we go right to the park or do we need to stop at will call/customer service area first? In my app looks like it has a bar code on it. Do we need the annual pass card?

I have a 7 day PH in MDE dated "valid: 2/14/2017-12/31/2030".

Can I call to upgrade to an AP before our trip? The trip is 14 days on property so I'd like to have everything sorted, park ressies made, and lightning lanes purchased with onsite advantage :)

You must have caught that just before expiration dates took effect! Yes, you should be able to upgrade it in advance. Expect the credit value will be the 2016 prices listed here. Be sure to make your park reservations for the AP!
