Robo help:)....a question about annual passes. I am also in the camp that I was going to renew and just did not get to it last night. At the renewal website it still says that the passes are good for 13 consecutive months. When I did a chat with a Disney cast member yesterday she said that that the 13 month special is still going on through September. Did I get incorrect information? THANK YOU!

The "13-months if you RENEW" is still going on.

But that per day cost, really isn't the one that matters. It's the cumulative total that matters. And that cumulative total is a $200 (10%) increase. Which is a big increase. Trying to whittle it down really doesn't change that, so it's pretty pointless to do so.

I'm sorry the jump is so high for you, but Robo was merely pointing out a different way of looking at it. Price increases aren't his fault, your fault or my fault, Disney did it, so direct your anger there. If you're truly pulling your trip because of the ticket increase, make sure to send guest relations an email telling them that. That's how to have your voice heard.

Add to that, we were expecting the 13 month deal that friends/family assured us of to make it for or trip this year and our honeymoon next year. Apparently that deal is over too.
The 13-month promotion for newly purchased APs expired Jan. 3, this isn't something you just missed out on.

Sorry, to me it came across as an attempt to down play it, like a $200 increase isn't a big deal. Which again, might be easy for someone else to say, but to us, it is. For us the day by day breakdown is not the one that matters. It's total cost. But if that's not how he meant it, then my apologies to @Robo. And if a day by day breakdown helps you, well then, great.

Overall, seeing as how our trip has potentially just been yanked out from under us, I'm feeling pretty disappointed and frustrated right now. It would help if Disney could get their communication straight across the board for the Canadian ticket issue. People are still getting mixed messages. :(

On that note, why on earth would they not make sure that the new terms/conditions are clearly communicated to everyone?

Price increases stink, Disney communications can also stink, and I'm sorry it may impact your trip.

It's not so much having ticket supplies, it's that Disney has not pulled the trigger on the price hike for authorized sellers yet, but they will by the end of the week.

Last weekend I purchased 2 adult 6 day tickets from a reseller for $723.92. When I heard about the impending increase and changes, I went back and ordered another adult and 1 child ticket for $705.08. That's a total of $1,,429. Today on the Disney website the same tickets would cost me $1,640.10. That's a difference of $211. And my tickets don't expire! Our planned trip is more than a year away and things certainly could change. I'm very happy with my decision.

Yes, I realize that, but, being human and imperfect like everyone else on here, sometimes I read things the wrong way ;) Hence my apology to him.

What is the email for guest relations? I was going to ask that. It's not even so much about the price increase I want to mention, but about how they have handled the Canadian ticket options and their total lack of communication to their employees.

All renewals through October 1st (or 2nd I can't remember) will give you a 13 month extension

You should probably expect an increase in parking sometime this year also

The thing is prices are going to go up. They always have and they always will unless attendance falls crazy lo

i read that premium went up to like $40 so I'm sure regular will as well!

Well the tickets I bought a year ago before THAT increase saved me $288.54 in the long run! So glad I did it.

Crunched the numbers on upgrading to APs and if all goes well with the "bridging" we are still looking at the best option for my family. I'm relieved.

If anyone can suggest the best GS window to go to to handle the upgrade I would be grateful. I know sometimes it's hit or miss.

ETA: I totally meant to post this in the ticket sticky. I need coffee!

WOW! So my total yesterday via disney would have been $1381- this morning, that has increased to $1528. NUTS. I jumped over to UCT and purchased for $1241 just now.
