Question on purchasing LLSP prior to an After Hours event (no park ticket, just After Hours ticket)

Hello all - I was able to locate a thread that related to this last Fall with MNSSHP, but haven't seen anything since, so I wanted to see if anyone has had any recent success with this.

We are heading to WDW in a few weeks from Utah. We don't go to WDW often as a family, so when we do, it is very park and attraction-focused. My wife and I did the special ticketed After Hours event at EPCOT when we were down there for a youth sports tournament, and we had an absolute blast. We got in multiple rides on Guardians and every other big ride was pretty much a walk-on. We said if we ever had the opportunity to come back down as a family that we would make this a priority.

As such, we planned a trip for the first week of August this year, and we are all looking forward to it. We have a 4-Day base ticket (one park per day), and on Thursday, August 7th we'll have a "break day" resort day where we will not use up one of our park tickets, but go to Epcot at 7pm in advance of the event beginning at 10pm.

Here is my question - Guardians is a huge priority for us. We know we should be able to get multiple rides during the event, but I've been hearing mixed reports recently about long lines, even during the After Hours event. We are worried that waiting in 60+ minute lines would use up our event time and prevent us from enjoying the free food and other rides (which should be closer to walk-ons hopefully). That said, we would be willing to pay $16 per person to get on Guardians right after arriving in the park during "regular" hours (starting at 7pm) if the system allows us to do so, and it doesn't "use up" one of our base park tickets. I was planning on trying to make that LLSP reservation at a time that fits when my window opens up 7 days in advance of our trip.

It sounds like people were successful purchasing and redeeming both LLMP and LLSP on days where they didn't have park tickets, but had tickets to special ticketed events (like After Hours or MNSSHP), but this was in late 2024.

Anyone have any successful (or unsuccessful) experiences in the last few months?
