You got an email from UCT, or an email from Mousesavers?
Actually I got an email from both. Sorry, I should have said Mousesavers. The Mousesaver's link will get the additional discount. Definitely use the Mousesaver's link!! Thanks for catching that!! ;)

Wow so in addition to the increase online, there's another $20 increase you would have to pay on top of that to purchase at the gate? That's a humongous increase for people who buy at the gate.

Offering a discount online over the gate price is pretty standard at alot of theme park and entertainment venues. I'm really surprised it took WDW such a long time to do it themselves. The idea of course is to entice you into a trip. They know if you wait to buy a ticket, you just might decide not to go at all.

Has anyone been able to find the new AP renewal prices? I only see new AP costs. Thanks.

My pass is due for renewal and I've been trying to sign in the last couple days but the site isn't working. I'm curious as well if this jumped too. I'll be so upset since I could have done it sooner but when the site was down I figured no big deal because I have until next month.

I have a ticket question for you guys. I bought 5 years worth of tickets last year before that price increase and just have them sitting in my safe. Would I be better adding them to my mydisneyexperience.com account or are they fine just sitting there.

What happens if you want to give a ticket to a family member or friend who will not be traveling with you, and who wants to be in charge of the ticket themselves? Wouldn't it be easier to be able to just hand them the (unused) ticket and let them put it into their own MDE account? Once it's in your MDE account, isn't it "stuck" in there? You would have to add them and assign the ticket to them. I'm sure someone can tell you whether or not this is tricky if the recipient will not be traveling with you and wants to do their own Fastpass+.

1. No.
2. You can invite them to "join" with your MDE account, then move the ticket to them.
3. Not really a "thing."

However, if a guest does have the "hard ticket" (still unused) and wants to keep it that way, or give it away, or even sell it... that is just fine, too.

Tickets are not "stuck" in an MDE account. Anyone who is listed in an MDE or has their MDE "linked" to an MDE, can be a recipient of the reassigned ticket.

Any new ticket linked to an MDE is just "digitized" info that can be reassigned/given to anyone via the MDE system.

But if you don't have to purchase a certain amount of time ahead to get the online discount, what's the point? Can't you wait until you arrive, stand in front of the gate, pull out your phone, make the online purchase, and get the discount? Even if you select US Domestic Shipping (which is free), telling them to mail the ticket to your house, the ticket appears in your MDE account immediately. I know Disney isn't the only one who does this, but I just don't get it. Or maybe I just have the wrong mind-set because I don't need to be enticed into a trip. I decide when to go, and then decide what to do about the ticket.

Robo just checking but can you put in tixs to MDE without attaching them to someone until you're ready? Trying to avoid going to prioritize them if I don't have to.

When I bought a ticket from disneyworld.com recently, it made me assign it to someone in my MDE account. It wouldn't let me have the ticket in my MDE account unassigned. (I know it can be re-assigned to someone else. I'm just trying to answer this particular question.)

But maybe it's different if you buy from someone else like UT - I don't remember if you can put that ticket into MDE without assigning it to someone.

1. Sounds about right.
2. Yes.
3. Nearly anyone who does "commit in advance" (oh, SO MANY posters who shout, "Yeah... I just ordered my tickets for next Umpteen")
will, at that point, have their funds locked into that (non-refundable) Disney ticket.

Looks like these changes will save us some money, since adding Water Parks to an existing PH (upgrading to a PH Plus) is now about half as much as it used to be. (just under $16 after tax compared to around $29)

Did you try another browser? Clear cookies? My mom went on yesterday & renewed hers. I've been on a few times too, logged in, and the site hasn't been down. I seem to have most luck in Chrome, like if Explorer has issues I try Chrome. Also, you can call to renew.

Add a"fake person/Ticket Saver" to your MDE account and the tickets can be assigned to that fake person until a real person needs to use the ticket.

1. It is, generally speaking. (As in, you can buy it without "attaching" it to anyone.)
2. You have the choice of assigning it to your MDE account, and to whom you choose, real or fictitious.

I think they mean Mousesavers. I didn't have the last newletter so I just went ahead and ordered my tickets. I think I only used the link once in all these years because I always forget how to do it. I paid the dumb tax today.

I hope this is ok to post. If it makes you feel better, the link provided me with a $5 discount on a $2283 purchase (9 day hoppers for a family of 5). I wound up purchasing from Officialticketcenter.com for $2214 instead via the touringplans link.

That is what I would do, but I think there is probably a large portion of people who just don't know to do it.

Kinda like knowing to pre-book FP+.
(Or even the availability of free FP, in general.)
That info is practically thrown at guests.
Many don't pay any attention.

Do we have any reason to suspect price bridging will stop in regards to upgrading tickets? I'm assuming they'll bridge to the online pricing?

We are looking to upgrade our 10day hoppers from our already purchased package to platinum APs.
