Just an FYI. If you are planning to use Silver Passports from another Sea World / Busch park at Sea World Orlando, you might want to print out and bring an explanation of the benefits when you go. They have a training and customer service problem that could cost you time and aggravation.

Last week our family of 4 Sea World San Diego annual pass holders visited Orlando. Two of us have Platinum Passes, the other two Silver.

When we visited the ticket booth, the attendant knew that our Platinum Passes allowed free admission - in fact, our original passes worked in the turnstiles here and at Busch Tampa.

However, neither this employee or the other one working the station next to her knew that Silver Passport holders are allowed entry for 50% off the normal gate price. In fact, she was quite rude and argumentative about it when I asked to speak with a manager.

I eventually brought up the Sea World San Diego's passport member website on my phone to show her, which didn't get me anywhere. It took more than 15 minutes for the manager to arrive, who didn't so much as look at me but did square the ticket seller away. We got our 50% off tickets, but certainly without any apology on their side.

In my experience this sort of treatment is not the norm from the Sea World / Busch family of parks. We've never run into it at home, and only encountered top notch, friendly employees at Busch Tampa later that week.

Am I understanding correctly that if you have a silver pass to sea world san diego then you get 50% off at the sea world in florida or with platinum it is free admission to any park? I am trying to decide what passes to get this year we usually just do buy a day get a year free and then a silver pass for FREE parking. Since we are going to DW this year I thought I should maybe upgrade the SW passes.

Platinum allows for all sea world parks across the country.

And you as a silver/gold passholder can get 50% off at a park that's not part of your pass. And you can get 8$ off tickets for some one else to your park.

If you generally get tickets every year, it's probably cheap enough to buy platinums through ez pay then you won't have to worry about price increases.

I don't think they sell gold or silver passes anymore. I just bought my platinuim passport on line two days ago and they do do not have gold or silver options anymore. That being said the platinuim passports do allow the purchase of one ticket at 50 percent off per passholder.
