Tiana's Bayou Adventure Opening Day

Two weeks ago,we got a VQ right at 7 and our boarding group was <10 (board before 9 am). Today it was >30 and our call back was around 11 am. CM were using the LL at a pretty steady clip and MK holders were in standby.

The first time we road, we walked straight onto the ride. This time, the standby queue was backed up to the entrance of the building. From there, it took 20 min to board the log. When we got off the ride, the queue looked much longer. Posts on social media show that, by 1 pm, the line stretched across the front of the ride towards HM.

Is this for when it officially opens or for MK previews?
It is on the regular website, not the MK page. The full wording on the page says,

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – Beginning November 15th
A virtual queue will be in place at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. A standby queue will not be available at this time. Each Guest can request to enter this virtual queue no more than once per day during regular park hours.

This attraction also features a Lightning Lane entrance that’s offered through Lightning Lane Multi Pass (subject to availability).

There are 3 daily opportunities to request to join the virtual queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure:

  • 7:00 AM - Guests must have a park reservation for Disneyland Park with a one-park ticket or a park reservation for Disneyland Park with a Park Hopper ticket
  • 12:00 PM (Noon) - Guests inside Disney California Adventure Park with a Park Hopper ticket or inside Disneyland Park can request to join the virtual queue
  • 4:00 PM - Guests inside Disney California Adventure Park with a Park Hopper ticket or inside Disneyland Park can request to join the virtual queue

Thank you!

A great video showing the new Critter Country Shop and even someone talking about the backstory and details all around the shop

Good luck to everyone there for opening day today!!

App says Boarding Paused hopefully no major downtimes.

Looking forward to hearing actual experiences from people who are there in the next couple weeks. How difficult/easy was it to get a boarding group? Did you try and were you successful in getting both a HMH and a TBA VQ or are they actually restricting the VQ to one at a time (I ask because during previews they weren't).

My niece got BG37 right at 7am. It was restricted to one at a time so could not try for haunted mansion. Since TBA has been down this morning and no boarding groups called, at noon her group will have to make the decision about whether to leave the TBA queue to be able to go after haunted mansion (at least I think that’s how it works). They also have a 7:15pm LLMP for Tiana.

Do you know if she actually attempted to get a HMH VQ or did she not try because she had already got the VQ for TBA?

I was actually the one who booked her VQ this morning (from the comfort of home while her family was running late to the park 😄). I can’t remember what the screen said but I wasn’t allowed to get HM while holding the one for TBA

Also, when the enrollment opens for the noon HM VQ drop, I’m going to check first about whether they’re eligible while still holding TBA VQ.
I'm also curious how (or if) the park will open a 12noon Virtual Queue for Tiana when it hasn't even opened for the day. It seems like a huge backlog of guests from AM times.

I was in WDW for cast previews. It was a hot mess.

That whole week the ride was up maybe a few hours a day.

That is what was expected. I was crossing my fingers for them allowing guests to hold both HMH and TBA since HMH is not on VQ because it is a ride but because they literally don't have a queue for people to wait in.

I'm curious to know just how wet everyone is getting on the ride now, please share your experiences if you have time ☺️

If the videos from the previews are any indication. Be prepared with either a second pair of shoes or walk around with wet shoes all day. And a poncho would be HIGHLY recommended but even with that you might need a change of clothes.

You get soaked, and it doesn't help that the logs are filled with water already when you get in so its best to keep your feet up as best you can. Highly recommend wearing a poncho and trying to roll up your pants to where your poncho ends so your pants don't get flooded with water.

I was there today. I rode Tiana's twice for MK previews so didn't try for VQ today. I got HMH right at 7 am and my boarding group was called at 8:30. I was in line for Small World and, by the time I made it back to HMH (maybe 11:30), the ride was down. CM said that it doesn't matter what time your boarding group tells you to come back. When it opens, they will allow you on.
