Looks like we all might need to buy these.
You could make money selling those!
We rode Tiana's again today. This time I was more prepared. The first time, I changed into running shorts and flip flops. This time I changed and added a poncho on top. Additionally, I put my phone in a Ziploc inside of my backpack which was inside a plastic shopping bag. I wasn't taking any chances!
In the queue, there was a video with instructions how to board the logs. It instructed guests to put ponchos on before boarding. I would guesstimate that at least 50% of the riders had ponchos on. Many were wearing
Crocs, flip flops or rain boots. Several had plastic bags (ex. shopping bags or trash bags with ties.). They put the bags over their shoes and tied them just below their knee or at their ankle.
There was a pool of water in the log when we boarded. I sat in seat four. The front person ended up getting drenched. After the first drop, I was wet from my knee down. I also got wet on the top of my head and my face. It didn't bother me, but I'm mentioning it in case it might bother others. For the rest of the drops, I put the poncho hood on and was fine. We didn't have any large waves dumping into our log. Regardless, I'm glad I changed shoes.
When we were leaving the parks, we walked past CurlSurf in DTD. They had a display in front indicating that they sold ponchos.
