magsnden how nice of you to donate your hair. I would but I'm one of those who likes her hair short (few tangles, dries fast).
If you like roller coasters, you'll love IOA. Most rides are for the older kids except Seuss Landing.

hi dl55, we went to IOA once back before we had kids. we LOVED it! but you're right, it's not really good for the kids, so we'll wait for when they're older. i can't wait to go again!

as for the short hair drying faster and less tangles, i think that's what has my DH worried - i'll cut my hair, see how much i love it, then keep it short.
lol! i'm not worried, i think he'll love it just because he's relieved it's not a crew cut! i'll let you know!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: You all are so cool! Miss a few days and you just get entertained with all your posts. I'm certainly getting a Crock-ed education. :lmao: But pppllleeeaaassseee do not mention Algebra :scared1: . I got another lecture from my mother about how I keep (or don't keep) my checkbook register filled in for every withdrawal or deposit.
The pin trading is fun. I've only traded with CM's. A friend said to ask them if they have any special ones on theirs. I got one that is given only to
cm's and I got a Year of...Dreams one. I hate wearing those lanyards so I made a big Mickey head out of that thin black foam and kept it in my purse. If you hit an outlet right, you can get some pins for $3.99. You can buy all alike since you're trading them. If you buy on ebay make sure you check the pin trading board for tips on where not to purchase from.

Okay...I am gone for 1 day and I come back to find people recruiting others to the Croc side!!!!!:scared1: M&N help me out here! We've got to stop the madness!!!

Oh, and just for the record, the flip flop, thong type Crocs do not count as Crocs. Not enough bright plastic. I'll let those slide for those of you who would like to try them out. Thanks to Praise2Him for pointing out the "not so Crocish" look. :rotfl:

magsnden - congrats on donating the hair. What a wonderful thing to do:thumbsup2

Bopsmom - Right behind you on the no smoking. I'm there if you need me buddy. (Although I have never smoked, I'm still there for ya!:thumbsup2 )

Fellow TKs...I have a confession to make. I have now graduated from Thread Killer to Thread Locker.!:scared1: :scared1: One of the threads I posted on last week got locked after I posted and I got in trouble for being sarcastic. Shocking I know, me of all people, but I am such a stinker some times. You all know that. I didn't mean harm but someone took the comment wrong. I thought the little :rolleyes1 I put at the end of the post would be a sign that I was just being sarcastic and trying to have a little fun. But, sadly, they didn't have a sense of humor. Did you know that you can't be sarcastic on the Dis?? Neither did I. Heck, if that's the case then half the threads on this board should be locked. I am so ashamed. :worried:

OW...........Brain hurts..........Helping DD.............with Algebra.......Need a break...........stealing some time on the DIS..........She is in kitchen working on a problem................SHHHHH.......Don't tell her I'm on here........Trying to look like I'm doing something important...............Oops, gotta go.........She has more questions.............:teacher:

Algebra?!?!?!?:scared1: :scared1: AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!! See, just the thought of it brings me to my knees! I dread the day when my kids will hit that level and I'll be expected to help. :rotfl2: HAH! It's the only class I ever got a D in, and even that was a miracle.

I'm sooo impressed...I know a Thread Locker! What do they do to you? You'll never get tagged by the Tag Fairy now! :scared1:

Back to the Crocs...I'm standing with D&DDisney...those fancy ones don't count as Crocs. Not that I would wear them but they are not ugly enough:3dglasses to count as real Crocs. (I'm trying to be nice so we don't get locked :flower3: )

Thankfully, only flurries today...Mom could go out for her bday.

Night....

and that happened with me at target too.
how do they think you will buy something if you can take it down to look at it??

:thumbsup2 ,exactly I hate when I hear retailers moaning, maybe they need to learn customer service?

hi dl55, we went to IOA once back before we had kids. we LOVED it! but you're right, it's not really good for the kids, so we'll wait for when they're older. i can't wait to go again!

Once again, out of the loop. Where is IOA???

:rotfl2: miss a few days, I missed a few hours and all this went on tonight!
Tell mom that keeping a checkbook has nothing to do with Algebra, I can attest to that, (okay, maybe I'm not real good at that either:laughing:, but it is a different math skill). My DD's tutor will agree:).

Your one of the smart ones:thumbsup2. Very hard, but I'm going to go for it too!

Fellow TKs...I have a confession to make. I have now graduated from Thread Killer to Thread Locker.! :rotfl2:scared1:, Congrat's I think:confused3. I do agree, I have seen some really nasty stuff go on and worse yet on one board most of the sarcastic stuff comes from a co-mod. So I'm all for rules, but as I teach my kids, respect the rules even if you don't like them. At the same time I teach them that they can only be respected if they are for everyone not just a chosen few. I don't think you meant harm, I think that maybe what you saw being said you just felt if you posted something (even if it was a little:rolleyes1), would put a end to it. I was on a post once that got really nasty, even though I would always mention in my post that everyone had a right to there opinion. At one point, I think I said please be nice everyone you don't want the mod's coming on, it didn't happen until pages later and there was a warning to stay on subject:confused3. Sorry but, in that instance it should have happen after the first pg or two.

Algebra?!?!?!?:scared1: AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!! See, just the thought of it brings me to my knees! I dread the day when my kids will hit that level and I'll be expected to help. HAH! It's the only class I ever got a D in, and even that was a miracle.[/QUOTE/]

:rotfl2: So happy, I'm not the only one! Don't worry they changed how they teach it, so even if you thought you might be able to help, it's all different now:confused3.

I'm sooo impressed...I know a Thread Locker! What do they do to you? You'll never get tagged by the Tag Fairy now!

Night....

Hey I saw a thread titled
What happened to the tag fairy? So maybe she's gone:confused3. Happy B-day to mom!!:dance3: Glad you only got flurries.

Hey, I now realize what a thread locker is!! That happen to me, prior to becoming a Killer:rotfl:. It was a little different, I saw a thread that had been locked after 3 post clicked to read it and though the co-mod was rude and :rolleyes1. I really didn't see anything out of line everyone was being polite and not hot headed, so I started a thread about why the thread was locked and that I had read many more heated arguments over simple things that went on for days? Reply came from co-mod stating wdw new smoking policy is not allowed to be discussed on the boards!! and lock:eek:. I did get a PM from someone the next day that told me she agreed that the thread shouldn't have been locked! So I guess I am also a locker and killer, but my:lovestruc belongs to the killers!

With all that said, need to say good night Killers. Early morning DM's catareat surgery in am. So have a good day, send a little pixiedust: DM's way, that all goes well and I will talk to you tomorrow! Magikitty should be home soon:thumbsup2, I think she will be proud, not only have we kept things going , but we have kept us up there on the CB :woohoo:. :grouphug: to all you killers!

OMG! That is one of my all-time favorite movies. I was just quoting it to DH last night to drive him nuts.

Clairee: Well, you know what they say: if you don't have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit by me!

And congrats on the no-smoking. Here's a little pixiedust: to help you on your way to being smoke-free.

:thanks:for the :pixiedust:
One of my favorite movies too
My BFF and I have a running jokes with...
"I promise that my personal tragedy will not interfere with my ability to do good hair"
&
"Oh, (insert name, usually DH's) is so confused he don't know whether to scratch his watch or wind his butt."

:rotfl2: :faint: sarcasm on an internet board? Heavens to Betsy!
Don't worry-you've never shown your dark side here. You must like us best:laughing:

Thanks for the support and for everyone being a:cheer2: I've only had a time or two when I thought I'd better put my head down 'til the urge passes.

magsnden - Glad you like your haircut:woohoo: Very sweet to donate the hair:thumbsup2 I am one of those people who would love to have long hair. DD too, we just don't look good if it goes past collar length.

I agree with the Athens not being considered "crocs" but you gotta wonder who would wear these?

:rotfl2:

Have a good evening ya'll

:faint: D&DDisney-:scared1: :scared1: is right. I must make a small confession too. Once you said what had happened, I had to go look for the thread you were talking about. Sorry, I just couldn't resist. :rotfl: I found it and they even deleted your original post. I didn't think your post was that bad especially after some of the ones I have read right here on the CB.

ok, all you croc haters (and I'm being sarcastic:rotfl: :thumbsup2 ), have you seen the new crocs they are comming out with. They look just like regular shoes and boots but at 3 times the price I would ever pay. Even though I like the crocs I have, I just can't seeing paying that price for some "plastic".

ok, so the dreaded SIL calls me tonight and starts asking me about Disney....who do we book our vacations with, where do I find all the info, etc. :scared: Uh-oh...the first word out of my mouth is "WHY". She goes on to tell me that she and DB were talking and they want to take a vacation to Disney when they get their income tax check. :scared1: :faint: At this point I actually had to sit down. So I give her a little bit info but not too much. So, I finally ask the dreaded question, "when do you plan on going?".
And she says.....

"oh, in february, right after we get our check." :scared1: And she wants my help to plan it. Ok, I know trips can be planned in a couple of weeks but they have never been on vacation together, she has never been to Disney, and DB has not been there since he was around 11. I don't whether to laugh or cry at what they want to do.

i'm leaving in 1 hour to go get my hair cut. i'm cutting off 10 inches for locks of love.
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Way to go. Have a friend who does the same thing regularly. Her son was born with beautiful, curly red hair. When he was about 7, his hair started falling out. Apecia (spelling?) It is a wonderful thing to do.

Magikitty should be home soon:thumbsup2,
I miss her.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Seeing how I live in the South, I think it is safe to say, I would never fall into any temptation of wearing those.

Didn't mean to scare everybody with Algebra.:scared1: :lmao: :scared1: :lmao:
Science is the subject I fear.:scared1:

disney54us-here's a little :tinker: pixiedust: for DM for tomorrow. And here's a couple of other smilies well...just becuuse I like them and I don't what I could ever say to use them. lol :jester: :rainbow: :bored: :Pinkbounc I'll keep my fingers crossed for DM tomorrow.

I thought about muti quoting and commenting on everything ya'll have been talking about. Then I decided I did not have all night. My gracious ya'll have been chatty tonight. So I'll just say that I'm proud to know a thread locker. That takes special talent. I hate algebra. I don't really like my Crocs either.Magsnden, I'm really glad you like your haircut. That's so funny about the Carol Brady. I remember my Mom having it in the 70s. My DH has a fear of that too. I think I'm going to get mine cut to about the same length as yours right before we go to WDW. Yeah, that was nuts about them not letting you try the stroller. I would never buy one that way. We wanted to go to BRU to compare the babytrend and joovy. Thanks for the tip. So you really like your joovy?

Okay, I think that about covers it. I love this thread! Ya'll are just great. Entertaining, helpful, sweet and sarcastic.:thumbsup2

Later killers!

no way should you plan for her!! maybe for your brother, though.

i think its alopecia. that's so terrible that your friend's son has it so young. how sad. it makes me feel better to know i can help a kid. it's only long hair to me, i'll definitely do it again.

btw, my DH loved it!

Didn't mean to scare everybody with Algebra.:scared1: :lmao: :scared1: :lmao:
Science is the subject I fear.:scared1:

am i the only one who liked science and algebra?!:confused3

i'm back for a couple of minutes!

i'm leaving in 1 hour to go get my hair cut. i'm cutting off 10 inches for locks of love. i'm a pretty nervous, but i know i'm doing a good thing.

ok, ladies, i'll talk to you later!

Good for you on the hair! Its such a good cause. (and, the free haircut is kinda nice too!) My DH does this, and I've done it twice. Once when DS was about 1 1/2. He told me he didn't like it by the way! :lmao:

Good luck, glad you are trying to help! Yuck. Math.
BTW - to an earlier post about men being clueless sometimes. Once, I went to DH's apt (when we were just dating.) I left for a while and didn't tell him I was going to the hairdresser. I came back 2 hours later, and my hair was RED instead of BLONDE. He didn't notice at all, or ask where I'd been!

Pixie dust for your DM :wizard:

Dreamin' in PA - No worries about the non-gambling, Vegas is worth it for the people watching alone, that's what I do a lot. But, if you like museums, check out the offerings for that time. Its kind of unbelievable in that environment, but they have some of the most amazing collections and museums inside the casinos. And, you'd never know you were in a casino. Its so quiet and peaceful.

DS just decided to dip his hair into his cereal.... gotta run!

i think its alopecia.

Thanks for help with the spelling. My brain was stuck.

am i the only one who liked science and algebra?!:confused3

I actually like Math and Algebra. Just a little difficult dealing with a DD who hates it. My dad was a math teacher. He was able to help me a lot.:teacher:

disney54us--Said a prayer for DM.

:

am i the only one who liked science and algebra?!:confused3

:rotfl2: I am a Physical Science:teacher: and a History:teacher: (proof of a split personality or ADD at it's best)

DD loves Science, brag alert:scared: she won the Science portion of the Science/Math Fair at her school last year.
Her favorite afterschool and summer activity is goiing to Math Tutoring-:confused3 she did not get this from me.

She is working on Science Fair as we speak. If I hear one more lecture on my "carbon footprint" I will scream.:scared1: DH blames me for her views, says it is because I put Greenpeace posters in her nursery:hippie:  Actually, I am very proud of her(can't ya'tell ) but am worried because she is now showing signs of developing the "I don't want to be smart because boys don't like that" syndrome. I know girls go through this but I thought I had another year or so to go.:confused3
I tell her with her good heart, brains and a face like this she won't have to worry about what boys like or don't like.

I am so glad your hubby likes your haircut. :yay: More to the point, I am glad you like it. What else are you planning for your special trip? Might be time to make that Vic's run;) Do the kids know where you are going yet?

BTW - to an earlier post about men being clueless sometimes. Once, I went to DH's apt (when we were just dating.) I left for a while and didn't tell him I was going to the hairdresser. I came back 2 hours later, and my hair was RED instead of BLONDE. He didn't notice at all, or ask where I'd been!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Point proven again.

I tell her with her good heart, brains and a face like this she won't have to worry about what boys like or don't like.
Keep telling her that.:thumbsup2 You have every right to be proud of your DD.

free haircut?? what?? no free haircut for me! i know they do it for the kids who are donating. maybe i had to go to a certain salon or something? either way, i don't mind, it felt good no matter what!!

Good luck, glad you are trying to help! Yuck. Math.

well that is funny. or sad, depending how you look at it!
