disney54us :worship: :worship: :worship: I thought everybody had disappeared on here. You have saved me from thinking I killed our thread. :rotfl:

We are not going to Vegas until May of 2009 but it's never too early to start to plan, right? It will be our first trip anywhere without any of the kiddos and really want to make the most of it.

:rotfl2: I felt the same way, I was getting a little worried:eek:. Never to early to start planning, I did get a little worried the other day when you mentioned planning for the dis trip:laughing:. Since we are going at the same time, I thought oh no what should I be doing:confused3.

where are you staying on the dis trip, I know there's like twelve of you going.

 Way to go on the smoking!!! I know how you feel, just haven't gotten there yet:guilty:. Was real good for a few days when I broke my feet, since I was in the hospital and when I came home was in much pain. Then slowly I would have a few a day, and before you know it, your back. I still have cut down quite a bit but it is time to kick it for good. What are athens?? maybe I could graduate to them from my sneakers:dance3:. Black is perfect, then I'll have evening wear shoes:laughing:.

Dreamin when are you going to Vegas?? I remember when you found out but I don't remember when.

Guys I found us on page 4:scared1:, but I don't know if that's correct b/c when I came on people were posting.
Just came home a little ago from DM's, we had dinner there her famous fried chicken:woohoo: love that stuff! Actually DH stayed home, he's sick.

Thanks all of you for the support. I haven't even told DM I quit. It took DH and DD 3 days to figure it out.
It is really hard!:scared: Many things can set you off and you think, just one, and your back too it. I just found myself (after dinner) going to the drawer where I used to keep my cigs and opening it subconsiously. I kinda looked at DH and he snickered like-whoops, you forgot:rotfl:
BTW-fried chicken sounds really good. :thumbsup2
Hope DH is feeling better:flower3: -I'd have to be on death's door to miss a Sunday supper of fried chicken.

...i'm going to try to put some links for "nicer" looking crocs!
http://shop.crocs.com/pc-110-4-cleo...=41p&subsectionname=footwear&section=products

http://shop.crocs.com/pc-34-4-mary-...=41p&subsectionname=footwear&section=products

these ones are more on funky side, but i love them!
http://shop.crocs.com/pc-550-4-cele...=41p&subsectionname=footwear&section=products

i tried them on and they felt so good! maybe i'll treat myself for my trip in less then 2 weeks (yay!!)

From Magsnden's links, I found a picture of my "athens".

This is my fav color since it matches my bathingsuit and wrap.
My second fav is the hot pink and lime green (DD's #1 choice) they are just so Lilly Pulitzer®!
DD loves anything pink/green we just re-did her room in pink/green paisley. DM and I had to laugh when she was picking out her color choices for her vanity area-it was straight out of Steel Magnolias:
Truvy(DM):What are your colors, Shelby?
Shelby(DD): My colors are "blush" and "bashful."
M'Lynn(me): Her colors are "pink" and pink."
Shelby: My colors are "blush" and "bashful" Mama! I have choosen two shades of pink, one is much deeper than the other.
M'Lynn: That sanctuary looks like it's been hosed down with Pepto-Bismol.

TTFN. Gotta get back to:laundy: I hope ya'll have a good Monday:upsidedow

where are you staying on the dis trip, I know there's like twelve of you going.

We are staying at POP. 3 that are going are young adults on a limited income so trying to keep the cost down for them. Heck, with my 4 kids, trying to keep the cost down for us too. :rotfl2: And believe it or not, my dad bowls in his free time. And I really want to get his picture with some of the big icons at POP. When we were there last time, the first thing out my kids mouths was how how much my dad would love it.

Right now all my planning consists of asking DH a bunch of questions only to have him tell me to do what I want. Some help he is.:lmao:

Your right it's hard, I have done the same thing, no announcement it takes, them a while to notice, and yes the after dinner one:scared1:.

Those are the ones I saw on the beach!! It's a little to cold here for me to graduate to them for winter:sad1:, ah but summer yeah summer:woohoo:.
Lilly Pulitzer:rotfl2:, sorry just makes me think of when I was in college and was sent to her store to write a critic (I majored in Fashion merchandising/business). Oh god, :rotfl2: :rotfl:, I'm not even going there.

Love that movie!!!:thumbsup2

Just popping in and popping out. At least wanted to say hi. I'll catch up on all the posts tomorrow. Until then.:hippie:

OMG! That is one of my all-time favorite movies. I was just quoting it to DH last night to drive him nuts.

Clairee: Well, you know what they say: if you don't have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit by me!

And congrats on the no-smoking. Here's a little pixiedust: to help you on your way to being smoke-free.

:rotfl2:, 4 kids keeping cost down, yeah I would say that's hard. Sounds like dad will love it. DS school you know the one that is closing (sorry have to get in my pity party), had a bowling league after school on Fridays for 2-8 grades. It was such great fun, and I tell you bowling alley's have the best cheese fries!!
Plans: don't look a gift horse in the mouth (did I get that right:confused3), you have to love a man that tells you to do what you want:rotfl:, though it could end up costing him:laughing:.

Well killer's would love to stay on, but school in the am and the whole Mon. stuff, DM has her cateract surgery Tues. the snow they said would be passing through on its way north is rain. I do need a snow day, god I'm like a little kid when I hear schools closed:laughing: Talk to you all in the AM, must be the fried chicken (I always said I'm a southern at heart):goodvibes.

Hey killer!

Congrats to you Bopsmom on the no smoking.:thumbsup2 I bet that's really hard. BTW, I love the Darth Vader and the quotes from Steel Magnolias. So funny.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. We had DS's bday party. Just family, but lots of fun. He had a great time. I can't believe my baby boy is 1 year old already. He has to go have his shots tomorrow.:sad2:

I have a pair of the Crocs Caymans. They are really comfy, but I have a hard time walking in them. I trip over the front of them a lot.

Have a great Mon everyone!

hey everyone!

too much to comment on!

audisfan- happy birthday to your little guy. it's so hard that they grow up, right?! my son is closer to 2 years old (!) now, his birthday's in may and i don't want to face it. it went SOOOOO much faster with him than my daughter. it seemed to take 4 years for her to turn 2! i had my son one month after my DD turned 2 so that's different too. no baby on the way! but i don't know how i would be picking him up he's so heavy!

btw, did you check out abbf for the strollers? we're always joking about getting strollers for ourselves too. who said that? was it disney54us? shmu? i can't remember - sorry!

ok everyone, i'll see you later, 7:30 here, gotta get to reality!

:bday: to DS!! One year, I think that's the hardest B-day, so emotional:sad1: and joyous at the same time.
Cayman's don't know what they look like, but I don't think I can afford something I would be tripping over in:rotfl:.

Hi, magsnden, guess maggie has no time to sit in her den and dis:rotfl2:, talk to you later!

Good morning Killer's, just checking in. Nice to see we are on page 1 and not to far down:cheer2:.

I just found out a friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer this year. She's already had surgery and treatments. Now she has to have check ups every 6 months. :sad1:
So sorry. I HATE cancer.

Okay, I'm jumping back to the Crocs topic.

I accidentally wore my oldest, most worn out pair of flimsy Keds to Epcot in December. By the two hour mark, my legs were killing me and I was desperate. I have friends who swear by Crocs, so I took a chance and bought a pair of the black ones with the red strap in the park. Within thirty minutes, my legs felt great. DD13 was humiliated in my presence because I made a fabulous fashion statement - black capri pants, white socks, black crocs. :scared1: Thank goodness no one in the group thought of pictures.
:lmao: I love embarrassing my DD.

:lmao: :lmao: Too funny! Gotta side w/ DD on this one. I know how comfortable they must be. I will never argue comfort w/ Crocs. Many have stated it before. Just can't get past the look no matter what.
Yeah. That's what I thought too.:rolleyes1 I actually wrote about this in my last post on my PTR.

ok, i just found crocs on sale at sports authority....buy 1, get 1 at 1/2 half and it looks like i should be able to get free shipping too. :woohoo: Now I just have to convince DH that they are a necessity for our trip. :rotfl2: Or maybe I just won't tell him.:ssst:
Don't tell him. Men are clueless. I cut 6 inches off my hair several years ago and DH never noticed.:confused3

Capri (flip flops) - The MOST comfortable of all - also don't look as Croc-ish for those of you who care
I'm looking into these. Thanks for the info.:thumbsup2

Hey guys :wave2:(1 week w/o:smokin:)
Way to go.:cool1:

I haven't tried the Capris but I LOVE:lovestruc my Athens. My DD loves hers too.
Checking these out too.:thumbsup2

Thanks all of you for the support. I haven't even told DM I quit. It took DH and DD 3 days to figure it out.
Point proven. Men are clueless.(Guess DD's are too.):rotfl2:

:hippie: Hi everyone else.:hippie:
I'll check in again later. Gotta get to work.:laundy: :teacher:

i'm back for a couple of minutes!

i'm leaving in 1 hour to go get my hair cut. i'm cutting off 10 inches for locks of love. i'm a pretty nervous, but i know i'm doing a good thing. i haven't had my hair that short since my first year of dental school - 9 years ago!!! i've been growing it for about a year so it'll be a big change. my husband keeps joking (i think) that he wants me to keep the long hair. why do they think it won't grow back?:rotfl2:

only 9 days until disney! can't wait. we've got the best babysitters set up - my mom for 2 nights and my best friend (she's also my SIL) for 1 night. i just realized that's 3 whole nights!:yay: so we're planning to go to MK on thursday and epcot on friday. epcot has evening EMH so that's good. DHs company does a party type thing on wednesday night, and the last few years it's been it at islands of adventure (which we love but never go there with the kids). they open up the whole park to the convention attendees ONLY! there's access to the rides and free food and drink! how great is that?! so excited!

ok, ladies, i'll talk to you later!

Morning everyone!!!!

magsnden-Islands of Adventure looks like so much fun. I've wanted to go there on our trips but it doesn't look like it would be very fun for the little ones. Maybe when they get older. Hope you have a great time down there.

Be back later....gotta go pick up DD from school. :goodvibes

Wow! That's great (and brave) of you. The Locks of Love program is such a wonderful thing. A new haircut and a kid free trip to WDW in a few days? Yep, I'd say your chances of coming home with that souvenier you're hoping for are pretty good.;) I wish you would post a pic of your new do. How short are you going to get it? Have fun! Ooh, I just looked at the time I guess you're gone now. Can't wait to hear how it turned out.

I did check into abbf. Now we're thinking about just buying one of the sit & stand strollers so we'll have it to use whenever. Going to look at them this weekend. We went to Target yesterday to look at one and they said we couldn't take it down from the shelf to try it out, so we won't be buying it there if we get one. DH wants to see how flat it folds, etc.

Have a great day killers!

Okay we needed a bump!! This is strange did not click multi quote or quote but it came up this way:confused3.

ok, i'm back!!! i love my haircut! it's a tiny bit above my shoulders now. i'm still able to put most of it up, if i need to. i guess i won't need to as much since it's so short. while i was growing it, i always had it pulled into a ponytail because it was always in my way. so it's not that short, i think my husband was worried i'd get it like carol brady's or something. both of our mother's have short hair, and he told me once that he thinks all mothers cut their hair so short and never grow it again. not me!! i would do this again and again.

so, as far as the stroller goes, when we went to WDW in march, a friend lent me her sit-n-stand because she said it would be so helpful. it wound up being the best for us, both there and home, so i bought one at babie r us. i had a $20 coupon for a stroller so it came out to around $100. i got the joovy one, but there's another one. i think it's baby trend. i love mine and my DD can still sit when my DS is laying back - it's tight, but she can fit. i think that's why i got the joovy, i don't think the other one had enough room.

i will mention that i had to order a tray type thing because it didn't have one, but i think they sell them with it now. if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

i'll try to get a picture and post it.

OW...........Brain hurts..........Helping DD.............with Algebra.......Need a break...........stealing some time on the DIS..........She is in kitchen working on a problem................SHHHHH.......Don't tell her I'm on here........Trying to look like I'm doing something important...............Oops, gotta go.........She has more questions.............:teacher:

and that happened with me at target too.
how do they think you will buy something if you can take it down to look at it??

:scared1:  I hate Algebra! There I said it. It brings back bad memories, like umm it was difficult and my brain just didn't get it w/o the help of a tutor. Poor DD she takes after me, same problem w/ Algebra. DS though younger math is his strongest subject:confused3 no clue where that came from:rotfl:.

Okay getting colder, it's damp and raining. If I hear them talk about snow one more time:eek:, how about you let us know when you really know if we are getting snow? Think I'll do the market thing now and get it over with. Just want to chill, have the fire going and dis out:rotfl2:. DD sick, DH sick and DS no Homework:yay:. later killer's. Oh check out my sig. I sorta kinda figured out how to do one that was sent to me:woohoo:. Well that's only cause I didn't have to copy and paste which I can copy sort of but pasting:confused3.
