Thread killers unite!

Morning everyone! Gloomy Monday here. Its not fair...the weather certainly doesn't feel like spring, yet my allergies are kicking up! I have sinus fullness and my nose is acting up. Ugh.

Ok, so we're still here. I'm woman enough to admit it. I'm scared to start a new thread (if need be). I personally would love if our thread here just "spilled over" into a new thread and all of this could be dealt with without my having to try to master some linking skill. I don't know what I"m doing, or supposed to do, and I'm afraid of frakking it up (anyone a fan of Battlestar Gallactica?) for all of us.

whgrn...I'm with you! I want terrible heat and an open pool too!

Pikester...no problem. Thought I'd offer just in case. Please don't get teary eyed on me. Everyone on here has been so kind and generous and I was trying to pass it along. Good luck on the Donner!

Bopsmom -- Baptism story is so funny. Glad the poor thing wasn't dropped.

Lightech -- That was so sweet of your DH.

M&N --" I suppose at least someone's been dropped or almost dropped. That's a neat tradition.":lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Sounds like the "dropping" is the tradition. I know what ya meant.

MagiKitty -- How can I help? I don't mind adding a link to the end of this one. All you would need to do is start a new thread with the new title and then I can add a link on this thread directing everyone over there. Just let me know.:thumbsup2

Hi everybody else.:hippie:

Yeah! Shmu is going to help me with the link. Ok, here's my thoughts on the new thread...

If by Wednesday we haven't heard about the closing of this one, we'll start a new thread on Thursday (and Shmu will help with the link to the new one). This gives us a few days to get everyone on board with the idea of a new link and to get ready for it. Sound good?

CALLING ALL THREAD KILLERS
NEW AND OLD

OK, I have had an idea

I read this thread, TR, and PTR
On the TR and PTR threads some people are taking there DIS friends with them on their WDW trip by the way of pictures.
They call them FLAT ______ For example, I would be FLAT SHMU
(Great way to feel skinny, because there is nothing flat about me in reality.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: )

Since MagiKitty and I are going to WDW at the same time in Sept. and we are both staying at the POP, I thought it would be fun to have a virtual TK DIS meet.

So here is my idea and ya'll can let me know what you think.
(I know, ---ya'll-----, I am from GA. That's my southern accent coming out.)
Everyone who wants to participate can post a pic of yourself, email me a pic, or mail me a pic.
I can then make you into a Flat buddie.
Hopefully, MagiKitty and I can meet at least once at the POP and then we can have a "Group" picture made with us and all our Flat TK buddies.

OK, Good idea or bad.
Just let me know.
I am a little loopy from lack of sleep so it won't hurt my feelings if ya don't want to.

What a fun idea!!!! I love it. I will see if I can find a decent picture to post. Wouldn't want Mickey to think I have gone all "hagared" on him ha ha. :rotfl:

Oooh...further mystery. Does this mystery post go along with "the-incident-that-shall-not-be-named"? Darn, I missed it!

Racetrack, no word on the thread closing. Do you think we should just start a new one just in case? What does everyone else think?

I'm waiting for my sister to call me to pick her up from the bus station.

I missed it too. Wonder what that was all about.

It wasn't a really exciting post this time so you didn't miss much. The poster did say that we might be thread killers but they are thread "poofers" :lmao: :lmao:

I only brought up starting a new thread because I saw earlier today, a thread with less posts than this one was locked. Have you decided on the name yet? I kinda like Thread Killlers Reunited, if I didn't say before.

If you decide to restart it, I'll pm everyone if you'd like. DH went out tonight with my brothers and dad for a boys' night out. Kids will be going to bed soon so I'll have some quiet computer time. :goodvibes

Happy Mother's Day!!

We're in the pool today with Mimi.:thumbsup2(brothers finked out on taking her to dinner) :sad2: :headache: -I hate how they treat her, but I just have to go on. We called and had her come over for steaks and swimming. I got her stuff for the Mimi Mobile-her MiniCooper.
I wanted to see how ya'll were doing.
I'll check in later.
Hope all of Ya'll are having a good day.:dance3:
:hippie:

Hi Bopsmom!!! At least the mystery post is solved.

Yeah! Shmu is going to help me with the link. Ok, here's my thoughts on the new thread...

That is a good idea!!!

So I have decided I should be careful talking about "Beaker" on here because you never know who might be lurking. Probably just me being paranoid lol. We gave him a verbal warning the other day, and I think he is going to get a written one from higher up. He is totally messing up our accounting system!! I spend 95% of my day chasing his mistakes! UGGGG :scared1: I have one girl ready to quit over him...it is just a huge mess. And I was so excited about him at first. Oh well, what can ya do?

SHMU!!!!!!!! Welcome back!!!!!

I am on lunch, so I am going to go read everyones trip reports now.

Hi to everyone!!!!!! (I'm always scared to mention names for fear of leaving someone off)

Oh, I forgot who asked, but yes, my ADR's are so "bad" becasue I procrastinated and now everyone is full up. But at least I got some anyway. Now DH is asking if he can "sit this one out" and go to the Braves game instead...the nerve lol.

Hi everyone
I'm glad everyone had a happy Mother's Day.
Temperatures around here have been in the 80s but a cold front is supposed to come through later in the week.
Can't talk too long, DD has a crisis that I have to help her with. :sad2:

Sounds good to me!

I guess Bopsmom wasn't at THE wedding over the weekend either.:bride:

I am sooo glad that dropping the baby isn't part of the tradition! Thanks for straightening me out!

I was stopped at a red light today while taking my 84 yr old friend to eye dr. She read the license plate in front of us out loud: PP BM And she just cracked up. On the way home she said it again and giggled and said that's not being in the gutter to say that is it? :rotfl:

oh that's so funny!!

just wanted to say hi. i'm having a b-o-r-i-n-g day today. it is freezing out there and we're trying to stay busy. it's not working.

and laundry, which sweet DH, suggested, is NOT fun.

i know i can count on all my ladies to back me up on that!

i missed a lot the last few days, i'm going to try to go back and read, but the kids need me downstairs. apparently they are bored too.

I need something funny posted when I get back on. Going to WW and I feel FAT! (actually it's gas but boy...) My hands even are puffy. The scale is not going to be good to me tonight so I need some Killer backup by 9.

What mystery post?????:confused3

No, I wasn't in Crawford, I guess the invitation got lost in the mail-considering I'm a Yellow Dawg Dem it wouldn't surprise me;)
DH is a Repub and is friends with some of those muckeyity mucks:snooty: but I guess I am holdin' him back:rotfl:

:worship: Ok guys, look at my ticker-tell me what I don't want to forget!:confused3
I am planning this for BIL and family(first trip) who is at the moment 2nd guessing my every move:headache: .DH told him to just "stand back" "she has it under control-but second guessing makes me nervous,
I am actually having to pack DD's snow white dress for DN(4)because she loves SnowWhite and SIL is too busy to find one. DD who is bouncing off the walls:Pinkbounc and her BFF(first trip)bouncing too:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc. Our first trip as DVC'rs and I am planning an Owner's Lockers for the Christmas trip with Mimi.

I am sunburnt from being at the clients today-and ichy and smelly(so DD says) and burning out-I am planning DH's 50th this weekend-a wine tasting for 40+.
I know I am forgetting a lot of things to bring. Please:worship: jog my memory and tell me if I am forgetting important stuff. Plus, I want to pay-it-forward and send some cards to people from WDW so give me addresses, if I don't have them already, and we will send cards to kids and friends.

OK, who has sprouts??????
I am getting ready to cull dill seed-to make way for more basil. My cilantro has bolted*(read your instructions regarding 75degree mark). I won't get them sent out until I return which BTW is the exact time I have to make ADR's for Christmas:scared1: :crazy2:
Ain't life great!-Busy is better than the alternative.

 :grouphug:  to everyone

Hey Killers!! What a horrible weather day it was here today. Rainy, windy and downright cold. What happened to spring?

Bopsmom-Are you getting excited yet? I would be bouncing off the walls myself right along with the kids. :goodvibes Mmmm, what could you be forgetting? I guess the most important thing for me to bring is a first-aid kit. But then all my kids are clumsy so I would be lost without that. :rotfl: How about extra batteries for cameras? Cell phone chargers...forgot those last year and had to make a trip to walmart. And let BIL question you now...once you are down there, he'll be thanking you for all that you have done to plan this trip. I think you said you subscribe to TGM. Follow his advice and you'll have a great trip.

M&N-I've beent trying to think of something funny to say but for the life of me, I'm drawing a blank. I'll offer you one of these for now  I'll try to find some funny pics later.

Just checking in and checking out real quick.
I'll quote everyone tomorrow.
Having a very hard time right now with my allergies.
Pollen count is extremely high here in GA and grass is one of the main ones.
It gets me every time.
My eyes itch, my ears itch, I'm sneezing every minute.
I'm heading off to bed.

Have fun tonight.
I'll catch ya all in the morning.

Hey Racetrack:wave2:
Thank you I will put in batteries and I will get an extra charger for the phones. I have a small first aid kit but am bringing extra things too. I have a basket in the dining room to put "stuff" in.

For the phones, Good reminder on the chargers cause actually, I think I will subscribe our phones to Push to Talk option. DD, DH and myself have cells and we will turn them into walkie talkies. I have an old set of walkie talkies that we used on our first trip but I think using the phone will be easier.

Does anyone have an opnion on using a PUR filter on the kitchen faucet as opposed to using a Brita Pitcher. I thought a PUR would be easier for us all around and would pack for next trip.
Takin notes, keep the ideas coming
:hippie:

I am exhausted from reading about all you are doing. Remember this is your vacation too. Those 1st trippers will appreciate all that you've done. People do not realize even how big the place is. If they do not like your plans, they can break off and do their own thing. They own the problem--not you. Having a basket to pile the stuff in as you think of it is a great idea. You are organized but juggling so many things makes you think you aren't. Would the faucet be easier for you? I probably couldn't get it off! It could turn out more like splash mtn. BTW, I don't smell you at all from here. (insert smilie with big nose! ;) )

I gained. I could give a list of whys but I decided not to look back. Just start moving ahead again. That's the way life is so I'll deal with it.

OK, M&N needs something funny so here is something for all of us this morning.

magickitty.jpg

A Pic of MagiKitty trying to figure out how to transfer this thread.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

 Love ya MagiKitty

Now that I'm caught up, I'm out of time to post...! :scared1:

But, Magikitty - we'll all help if we can. Links aren't too complicated, and I think its a good plan.

SHMU TO THE RESCUE! :worship:

M&N - Ummmm.... Well, went out for a quick walk to get the mail with DS yesterday and wound up giving him a bath! :scared1: I had told him he could jump in some puddles (pent up energy). When we got in, I couldn't get his rain boots off. His pants were soaked, there was mud on his face and in his hair. I told him to sit down and pried his boots off, and at LEAST a 1/2 cup of water poured out of each one! He had been splashing so much that the water was going up inside his raincoat and then running INto his boots.

Bopsmom - Gosh you are SO busy! I don't know how you do it. I'll revisit when I can, but I found a good tip was to go to the dollar store and walk up and down the aisles. I picked up a few rain ponchos and some glow sticks (which I never would have packed and which would have cost a LOT more at WDW.)

Magsnden - try to relax a little and BAH to the laundry... what's one more day.

OK - Gotta run... DM coming over for our later Mom's day celebration.

:lmao: Shmu's kitty pic would work for that too. I bet he had fun. There's a Reading Rainbow tape I used to play for the kids where kids hopped in puddles and all the kids would just laugh and laugh at it. It sounds like you were too busy for a pic but I can sure imagine how cute he looked.

I second the BLAH to the laundry. The next day will just give you a little more in the tub.

I thought you would be at QVC eating that yummy food from the cookbook they were pushing this am. Have a another great Mom's day. Isn't it fun to stretch it out?
