Now THAT is a shirt for me!!! LOL! I would have LOVED to be there with all those kilts! I find there is NOTHING sexier than a man in a kilt.

I'm just gonna die in Scotland.... Hell, I'll probably choke on my drool!!:rotfl2:

Be forewarned... not as many men as you would think actually wander around in the kilts. Can't remember where you said you were headed exactly. If up north, don't miss Inverness (and Loch Ness.) The Loch Ness part is touristy and cheesy, but fun. But, the area surrounding Inverness, and the Loch boat tour are just beautiful. We really enjoyed the ruins of Castle Urqhart (sp?) right on Loch Ness. It was rainy and grey that day, and the looming ruins were just what every romantic vision of Scotland ever was for me.

:wave2: Hey everyone!!!!

lighttech-sounds like it would be a nice thing to do for the afternoon but I don't think I would really travel for it. That tshirt is great. But you know, if you made up trip up here for the Celtic Classic, maybe you could get a pic of DS and DH then. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Bopsmom-OMG!!!! If I was living that close to so many country stars performing, I would have to take this entire month off. I feel pretty fortunate that I've seen some of my favorites but that is just unreal. I guess I can dream. :goodvibes

We're gonna try to come up for it. It sounds great.
I agree about Bopsmoms rodeo line up... WOW!! Glad to see there's some other country fans on here. Everyone I work w/ just rolls their eyes when I put on music.

Hey ya'll!

Thanks for all the welcome back messages. I missed ya'll

Bopsmom - I love, love , love your cowboy smilie. Love me some Alan, Clay, Big & Rich, Brooks & Dunn, etc. Can you tell I like my country stars to wear hats?:rotfl:

Men in hats... Yum.
I've officially agreed to let DH run off w/ Faith Hill for a few weeks, as long as I get to console Tim... :rolleyes1

Just PEEPIN in to say chirp, chirp!

Hope you Killers are not sick. I've got spring fever. Went for a walk before the rain comes and listened to all the birdies singing and scared some squirrels. Saw a UFO (unidentified flat object) in the street. Some flowers popping up. Came home and wanted to take a nap but I haven't---yet. (insert yawning smilie)

That just sounds like a perfect day! Good for you.

Weightloss is at right around 14 pounds now, I think I need to kick it up a knotch somehow. I started Jan 5th. What do you guys think? It seems so slow. I have lost 4 inches though.

I gotta run. Waiting on more pics DL55.

That sounds like a fantastic weight loss average! Slow (not really so slow anyway...) and steady, you know? That's the way to keep it off!!

Well, that's about all I have time for tonight. Got DS down a little early for bed, and I'm headed there too. I'm still fighting off this illness, but I refuse to skip work. We get a "bonus day" if we go thru a 4 month time frame w/o taking any personal/sick time. I came in a few weeks ago after being up all night w/ the stomach flu and still having it b/c I couldn't find coverage and I'm ridiculously responsible. At that point, I swore come H-E double hockey sticks or high water, I was getting that bonus day!!!

'Night all!!!

Too funny!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Love those new smilies you have too. Care to share them???

Congrats to everyone on the weight loss!:cheer2:

DL55- Thanks for posting the pics. Now we just need to see pics of you. Looks like you have an incredible view there too!

Okay now...back to Peep watch. Later!:wave2:

Thank You

I got them from http://www.mysmiley.net/ they are fun to play with. You don't have to download anything too
For anyone that needs help: (click on the smiley, it will take you to the codes-I use the BB code-copy it, paste it into the message. I erase the url parts of the code line)

Had to tell ya'll that DD is eating Peeps(microwaved) with a dollop of peanut butter on them

. I guess she is feeling better-she stayed home from school today.

I'm not expecting to see guys wandering around town in kilts. But we have 4 "formal nights" on the train, and formal dress is considered a Prince Charlie jacket and kilt with full accessories! YUMMY!!!

We will be up in the Highlands most of the trip, but down in the Lowlands the last couple of days.

143 days to go....

happy0110.gif

Testing my smilie...it was all words and afraid it would not work. Thanks Bopsmom. I appreciate the directions too for us computer challenged Killers.

Hey everyone!!! Very warm here today but lots of rain, rain, rain. :umbrella:

lighttech-We love country music here. Poor DD12 is so out of place with most of her friends when it comes to music. :lmao: You could have Tim....I'll stick with Brad Paisley

whgrn-only 143 more days. :woohoo: You must be getting pretty excited.

DL55-I thought it got windy here but nothing like that. You'll have to post pics when you get it all put back.

magsnden-Miss you and I hope everything is ok.

Only have time for a drive by hi this morning.
:car: :hippie:

I'm heading out the door in a few minutes.
I'll try to catch up later.

Good morning Killers! Love the smilies, but of course when I see click, copy paste:scared1:, I run:rotfl:. Congrat's on the weight lose to all:yay: Way to go!! Dreamin Brad Paisley, is he the one who's first hit was Austin??? I use his Some Beach, Some where as my ringback tone in the summer. DL thanks for the pictures, had to laugh:rotfl:, at the thought of you trying to take pic's with tempers flairing, and saying but the killers want to see them DH. Yeah that would go over well. Felt like spring and been taking the dog for some walks, last night we got blasted with rain. It sounded like people were just tossing buckets of water against the house.
Big news, They found the recipe from Olivia's:cheer2: I will post it later and you all have to make it!! so good:thumbsup2.
Pepper you in VA Beach? DS lived in Norfolk for years, in Ghent. Loved it down there. Actually they are thinking of moving back.
Okay gonna go do :laundy: and all that fun stuff:rolleyes:. Of course I can tell I'm in a dis mood today.

Morning!!!

Nope, Brad Paisley doesn't sing Austin...that's Blake Shelton. But he's a hottie too especially since his haircut. We got that horrible rain too. All night and most of the early morning. Even saw some lightning! Please post that recipe. I'm always looking for something new to make. :goodvibes

 Shmu

Good morning!

i've been missing from our thread for a long time. sorry i missed out on soooo much. i haven't been on the computer since before the weekend. i'm going back to TRY to catch up!

i miss you all!

Yippee! :yay: Magsnden is back! We missed you.

Oh, that Blake Shelton is one long cool drink of water. I agree dreamin, he looks much better with his hair cut.

disney54us - I'm so glad you finally got the recipe! You'll definetely have to post it for us. I was just trying to think of some kind of dip to have for everyone to munch on while I cook dinner when my family comes over on Easter.

Have a great day killers!

Afternoon everyone! Been tracking my Roomba and he's expected to arrive today! Weather has been way crazy, we got lots of rain and wind last night, and today it turned to a sleet-slushy mix. It seems to have stopped for now.

143 days until Scotland! The best part is that your itinerary is already planned, no crazy planning for you--except to have fun! One of my best girlfriends attends school in Edinburgh; she's been trying to get me to visit. Of course I would go if the dollar wasn't so weak! I keep hearing to head across the pond in the fall, when costs of flights go down. So whgrn, take lots of pics and notes for us when you get back!

Welcome back Magsnden...we were worried about you!

Ok, clearly I'm out of my country league here with talks of Blake Shelton and Brad Paisley. I'm going to have to check this stuff out. I hardly ever listen to radio anymore---I've been stuck in the 90's for way too long.

disney54us...please post the recipe. You are obviously so enthusiastic about it, my curiousity is piqued. I have to try something that inspired such devotion.

DL55...how did the tent recovery go? Those winds must have been amazing to pull up that tarp with the cables! You were very lucky that it only made it across the yard and onto the fence...it could have gotten away from you altogether!

Who mentioned Virginia Beach? Spent Memorial day weekend last year in the Williamsburg area. Mighty beautiful area there. Found this great Mexican restaurant off Restaurant.com down there that BF and I are STILL talking about. May have to take a trip down there just for the tamales and the margaritas!

We got the shelter off the fence. :yay: I had to climb into the bush, climb the fence and push against the side of the shelter. Had to ask our neighbor to help roll it upright. A little more damage than initially thought. Two of the corner supports are bent. DH took them to work to see if anyone could straighten them. There are worn spots all over. I pulled out the duct tape and have covered any hole that I could see blue sky through. It's supposed to be breezy today. :scared1: I've unzipped the end doors and have my fingers crossed (it's not attached to anything at the moment).
Onto more pleasant thoughts. I bought my peeps :cloud9: Still trying to resist opening them.:hyper:

Only time for quick replies.

Oooooh. The promise of formal Scottish attire. Definintely yummy. Sounds like so much fun too.

That rain was crazy! Made it hard to get out of bed this morning too. And, I agree, Brad Paisley is definitely up there on the list too.

Good morning!

Welcome back!

Let us know if its pink!

We got the shelter off the fence. :yay:

Sounds like a pain, but glad its at least partially recovered. Good luck!

'Bye all. Will try to stop in later.

Oooh, I can't wait to see pictures of him!!!

And I will probably take about 300 pix in Scotland, mostly of men in kilts!:lmao: I called today to make an appointment for my dad to be measured (the guy was supposed to be in NYC this month), and I got to listen to the most delicious Scottish accent on their answering machine! I liked it so much, I called back just to listen again!:rotfl2:

We got lots of rain too, but it was all over by about 9 this morning. Good thing--I had lots to do today!! It was still VERY windy though. Nothing like last night--I thought the house was gonna blow down and/or float away! And the thunder! Naturally, I ended up with DD in bed--she's scared to death of thunder.

143 days will fly by. SO much to do before then!!

Good morning!

i've been missing from our thread for a long time. sorry i missed out on soooo much. i haven't been on the computer since before the weekend. i'm going back to TRY to catch up!

i miss you all!

WELCOME BACK!!! We missed you!!

hi again! i think i'm all caught up.
but now it's nigh-nigh time. i figured i'd use my son's words since it will very likely him i'll be up with tonight. his 2nd molars are coming in and he's had a really tough time with them, the poor boy.

so i'll see you all in the morning. have a good night!

You should have taped it! I have friends who lived in England for 26 years and they have neat accents.
I need to find my pics of when I was in Scotland---in the 70's. I took slides then. I think they are getting faded. I did buy a machine to change them to DVD but haven't done it yet. Don't remember too many kilts though.

Just getting my post count up! :rotfl:
The sun is out...want to sing Oh what a beautiful mornin'...but back hurts. :confused3 Going to jump in for a hot shower.

Besides, if I keep posting, then I didn't kill it.

You can't kill this thread.....there's too many of us to let that happen. :goodvibes

It's a beautiful day here too. Lots of sun and I sure missed it. Maybe I'll take the kids for a long walk today. It's never too early to prepare for vacation, is it? :lmao:

Morning everyone...I got my Roomba yesterday. Sadly, he's not pink, but a really cool olive green. I haven't taken him out of the wrapping yet coz I decided to weed out my wardrobe and instead have created a massive disaster! I'm trying desperately to find items to donate, but the mentality of "being wasteful" is so hard to get over. I keep telling myself that "its going to a better home", and I know it. But its so very hard to decide what to keep and what to move out.

When my girlfriend came back from living in Scotland for a year, I was seriously disappointed that she didn't have one trace of an accent. Her fiance is from Germany, so at least SOMEONE will have an accent!

DL55..congrats on the rescue! Sorry to hear its a bit banged up. Did you open the Peeps? I have one box left...its calling me.

Magsnden...sorry to hear your little guy is having a hard time with the teeth thing. I myself have been nursing my wisdom teeth for years. It flares up once in a while and I am not pleasant to be around. I feel for Dennis. Hope he feels better.

M&N...post, post, post away. We love it.

dreamin...of course its never too early to prep for vacation! BF and I are prepping for a vacation that doesn't even exist yet! It my excuse to get him to walk around the mall...(wink, wink). I tell him he has to get his stamina up for walking around the World!
