Mostly 40 hours a week. If we have a big trial coming up that can go to 60-80, but that only happens infrequently.

I have a home business that I also work 5-10 hours a week, but hopefully closer to 5 starting soon.

I work in public accounting and one of my biggest pet peeves is everyone comparing hours worked like it is a competition. Time with my family is more important to me......

37.5. That's considered full time. I work 8.5 hour days but have a 1 hour unpaid lunch. Hardly ever get overtime, either.

I get paid for 3.75 hours a day, but usually work about 5 - so 25 hours a week.

I work full time at a bank and it comes out to roughly 36 hours a week.

30 in one job and anywhere from 12-15 in the other for the 10 month school year. In July and August I work only about 18 hours/week (I save all my PTO time to take from my regularl job and my part-time position is student tutoring and I'm "off" in the summer). But I'm sitting here waiting to hear about a 40-hour town position that I'm supposed to know if I've been hired TODAY! Wish me luck.

40 a week for me. It increases to around 45 per week a couple of times per month.

In the summer...Mid-May to Mid-Oct...I work 12 to 15 hours a day, 7 days a week. (Minimum 84 hours from June 1 to Sept 30), the in May in October it's more like 65 hours a week, and after that, I work about 5 to 10 hrs a week.


Now, I'll explain, we own a seasonal business. It's not a huge business so I keep costs down by working the check in desk alone. (my DH does not speak French and almost all my clients are French so he could not do it with me) I check in all our customers, check every email enquiry, answer every phone call, pay all the bills, do the books and supervise the cleaning staff. At least I don't have to clean the rooms...

Then, in the off season, I collect rents, pay bills and take reservations from home with a cat on my lap.

It's a tough summer but it's over pretty quick. I am 36 this year and I have been doing it since I was 31...I said I could do it for 4 more years like this unless we expand in the coming 3 years. I WILL NOT DO IT AT 40...by then I will hire someone as the whole place will be mortgage free and I won't feel bad hiring someone.

DH works a full time 35-40 hours a week job plus in the summer he helps me out for about 20 hours a week. Eventually, he will work full time for us when we expand...(I can't wait, we just bought a lot of land across from our business...It's perfect for another 30 rooms, 12 more chalets and full pool, hot tub, playground, etc... )


The best part, being able to travel in the off-season.
