I work 118 hours a week.

yeah i know, i am crazy

Somewhere between 60 and 70, notice I am posting this at 3:00 AM.

20

I am only up because we just had horrible hail and the tornado sirens were going off. I put the cars in the garage, just in case....I am so glad I did.

Yea me....Now I am going to be wiped today.:scared:

Does mothering count as work or what about volunteering?

I work 0 paid hours but I volunteer about 10-20 hrs a week during the mornings.
It's awesome. :) I'm a very relaxed person!

DH works 6 days a week, about 14 hrs a day. He's forward deployed on a naval ship and they only have off Sundays.

I am "at" work for about 40 hours a week and I do work from home probably another 5-10 depending on whether I lose my prep periods to cover other classes. For me, and I can only speak for myself, teaching is a whole lot more draining physically and mentally than any of my other jobs were. I don't get two minutes to just sit and recharge. When I worked in offices or even retail, I was always able to carve out a few minutes for breaks and to just sit and zone out for a bit.

I work a full time job 40 hours a week and then once my daughter goes to sleep around 10pm I do an at home job that takes me about a hour and a half a night 5-6 nights a week (just enough to cover property taxes!)

I normally work 40 hours, but about 6 months out of the year it's 45-50.

Why should this be fun? Just wondering.

I don't work. I'm independently wealthy.

By contract I work 35 hours per week/48 weeks per year. I don't think I've ever worked less than 45, and that's at school. Then there are the hours I work at home, probably another 5-10 per week. I get 4 weeks off, if there are no snow days to make up during our June break.

about 6-8. I'm a SAHM with a PT job at the mall.

My paying job -- anywhere between 40 and 90-100, depends on my caseload. I've been loaded down the past two month and my case load will not let up any until July.

My non-paying job(mom & wife) -- the rest of the time not spent working at my paying job.

I am an administrator for 2 group homes that serve teens and young adults with Autism. I work a 4 day week with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday off. We work 32, but are paid for 40 hours each week. Why, you might ask? Being 'on call" is the answer.

One week in every three I am on call for the week. I handle any open shifts, call outs, emergencies, etc. During that week it is not uncommon to work 18-20 hours a day. There have been cases where I worked all day, had a second and third shift call out....with nobody to help cover anything. Now, it is not always that bad...in fact I am on call now and have only had to work late one night. Our agency gives us time off up front, to insure that we get it in case we have to pull extra during on call. Even when we are on call the actual 'on call' responsibility begins at 5:00 p.m. so that technically our extra day off can be a day off, at least from 9-5. Sounds complicated, but it has been working.

So far for this year I am averaging about 54hr per week. Last year 52hr per week. We don't get overtime but we do get straight pay for all of our hours.

Half time at my job (20 hours). My real work day begins when I walk in the door at home. :)

40.

That's enough time to spend doing something you dislike. I already feel trapped -- if I spent any more time there, I truly would be trapped.

40 Hour a week and one Saturday a month (month end). I used to work in public accounting as a tax manager and worked 70+ hours a week year round. With my current position I made it very clear I wasn't willing to work those hours anymore. Still abhor the profession but the hours are much better.:thumbsup2
