the movie was at 9pm because we were walking toward the IG thinking that Epcot was still open

Does anyone know if they have a schedule of what movies will be shown, maybe in the lobby?

I didn't see a campfire, but with the recent drought, open fires might be banned now...

The movie schedule was listed in the packet when you checked in..they give you a DVC envelope full of current times, etc..It was listed there

dh wondered if the campfire had s'mores? :yay:

My neighbors reported they had s'mores during their visit a week ago, maybe it has since changed, but they did have them with the camp fire.

As you can see from my signature, we are big YC / BC fans. We didn't stay there last year as we wanted to try the Poly (which we really liked as well, missed SAB though). Can't wait, our trip is coming soon. I even purchased Crocs sandals!

Oh Cool my son loves smores. This will make him so very happy ... hope they have them when we are there in July.

You guys will be there before us. :( We go 7/30 to 8/6. Would be cool to run into someone from the thread ... maybe have a drink or catch a movie together! :)

anyone with a standard view and needing a daybed..4134 (or 3134,2134) was a great view and so quiet...very, very very close to elevators but no hall noise..loved this room!

when in July are you going we are the 6th-13th.

We will be there July 8 - 14! We will be the family with two older boys (ages 15 & 11) probably dressed in some kind of sports team gear...Washington Nationals, University of Maryland and my younger son is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan. I should post their pictures from the past years when we have attended Cindrella's Castle breakfast and I have made them take their picture with ALL of the princesses. :)

There will be 5 of us, dd#1 who is 10, ds and dd#2 are 7, she is taller than him by several inches.

Typical summer clothes here tho. Dh loves the Toronto Maple Leafs only 2nd to the Buffalo Sabers.

May I ask why you seem to split your vacations?

O.K. maybe we will see you there.....my boys also wear typical summer clothes maybe just a hat or something for their teams. My husband's favorite is the Flyers....tell your husband to note our dog's name. He will probably get it, most think he is named after Bing Crosby.

We started the split thing first time at the Dolphin as we changed our dates and no availibility at Yacht Club. So, we added the Dolphin on for two nights before our Yacht Club stay. Then the next year my DS11 (was then 9) wanted to try AKL, so, we did 4 nights AKL and 5 nights BC Deluxe room (loved this room). Last year we decided we really needed to branch out! So, we did not even stay at YC / BC, we evenly split AKL (which our family really enjoys) for a couple of days and then did Poly (awesome location for Magic Kingdom and great view of the Castle from Hawaii building) for somthing new.

We find splitting resort easy as our children are older. We simply check out of the first resort, go to the park planned for the day and then go check in to our new resort. We only do Disney once a year and splitting has given us the opportunity to try a new resort, but also staying at our beloved YC / BC!

Ok guys I have a question. I just got off the phone with the WDW special needs line. She called me to make sure of our requests. I know we have a full balcony and rails for DS which I am thrilled with both. We are on the 2nd floor because all of their accesible rooms according to her are in the same area. She said they all overlook a quiet pool. Anyone have an idea which way we will be facing etc? I am off to find a map in the thread so maybe I can figure it out. I had asked for a quiet area because he is going to need afternoon naps with the heat to avoid a major meltdown ... are the quiet pools really quiet?

Here is a link to the second floor of Beach Club...I am assuming you are saying Beach Club as you mentioned full balcony

and here is the layout of the YC / BC

So, if your room is facing the quiet pool you would be between 2515 - 2555. 2557 is a Deluxe Room. Hope this is what you were looking for!

During the day the quiet pool is pretty quiet. It can be a little different come evening, but not too bad.

Thanks for the info ... assuming they do not upgrade us (which I doubt will happen lol) and assuming that she was correct in what she told me. We will be in one of 3 rooms. We have never stayed at BC but if I am reading the map right we are on the side closest to MGM? I do not even remember seeing the walkway to Epcot there ... we always walked back from Epcot to Dolphin by way of BW. Only when we walked to MGM did we even get close to SAB. I keep trying to picture it in my head but I just do not remember a walkway past the docks?
Does anyone know if the quiet pool stays open all night? For those of you that have stayed there before assuming we will be in the 2515 - 2555 rooms is that an area we will enjoy? Also good to know there is a deluxe in that area DH and I have discussed going that route in Dec of 08 when we go back again if we like BC. This was supposed to be a budget trip so standard was about all I could slip under his nose lol.

You will be on the end of the Beach Club closest to Epcot. I believe the pool is open 24 Hrs., I think ?? Two years ago we stayed in one of the Deluxe rooms (4557) overlooking the quiet pool. Easy walk into Epcot. Four years ago we were in (I think) room 4545 overlooking the quiet pool as well, great view of the Boardwalk!
