Hi Joe, I just wanted to say that I also am amazed at the wealth of information in this site. I don't have much experience with posting, (I'm just a mom with a little internet experience) but I'm planning a trip to BC next August (one can never plan to soon). My question is, how does one get "bumped up" to suites, concierge, etc.? Is it just luck, or do you have any advice? I'm taking my 16 and 14 year old, is concierge worth it with these ages? We don't plan to be in the room very much, not sure we'd be enjoying all of the snacks. Does it come with breakfast? This is probably the last trip my 16 year old will be doing with mom, so I'd like it to be the best ever. Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you know anything about the YC charging you if you have a package sent down before your trip? I have heard a couple people have reported that at different resorts, and I wanted to find out before I had something sent for our trip in two weeks.

Unless this is something new, I've never heard of a resort charging for holding a package that has been sent. Last year we had drinks and snacks from netgrocers delivered to the WL and they delivered them to our room with no problems or no charges. In fact, they were very sweet about it.

Maybe other posters have a different experience?

Hmm...think think think think...

OK I'm not sure either. They didn't charge <i>extra</i> when mailed my laundry home (yes, laundry...) in January, but the only experience I have with mailing to hotels in advance is last summer, when I had an extra memory card for my MP3 player sent cross country to a hotel in Salt Lake City. They didn't complain (or charge me), but they <i>were</i> wondering what it was in the package. LoL!

More floor plans on the way, faithful followers...I, um, just got my new computer online (i'm typing on it now), and I leave tomorrow morning for Notre Dame, so...it's going to be a few days until more new material finds its way on here.

Hey y'all!

I'm here at Notre Dame University in Indiana, and from what I've seen and heard in the last 3 days, this school has jumped to the top of my list. If any of you have kids who are looking at college in the near future, make sure they at least check out this awesome place. I'll go so far as to call this campus the Disney World of Universities...someone else told me it'd be like this...I didn't exactly believe her, and now i'm completely convinced now that I'm here. You'll know what I mean once you're here.

OK...thanks you guys for bumping this place this weekend! When I get home, I'm gonna get the floor plans done (the Prez Suite at the YC isn't uploaded because I...er...had a plane to catch), and then add more cool stuff as the summer winds down.

For now, I'm really lookin forward to the big Matchbox Twenty/Train concert on Thursday in Hershey! Anyone else going!?

I love the yacht club. The location is fantastic. Everynight we walked to Epcot, I hardley used my rental car, For a 12 yr. old holtel the cleanliness of it really impressed me. the boat ride to MGM was nice, just a way to relax on the way back after a long day of walking.I will definetly go back to the yacht club, it is now my all time favorite for many reasons. if it wasn't for these boards and tinkbell (sp) I would not have chosen that hotel but I am glad I did. Oh btw I was on concierge, room 5174, not a lagoon view just looking at the very front of the entrance but it was 4 doors down to the concierge lounge so that was real convienent

I'm still wavering between the dolphin and BC for next summer, it will depend on any special rates that come out next summer. One thing about the BC bothers me though - where does anybody go for a breakfast? I don't want an expensive buffet (Cape May) all of the time, and it seems Beaches and Cream just has rolls and muffins. Looked at the menu at Yacht Club, and their breakfast is quite pricey. What do all of you do? I like the idea of Beaches for a snack, but the lack of being able to get a simple meal bothers me. Thanks!
