Sorry it's been so long since I posted, but life caught up with me. Yesterday was my girlfriend's 17th birthday, but to my horror when I was about to go pick her up, my car wouldn't start. Just great, eh?

She ended up walking to my house from where she was (in 85 degree heat no less...sigh), while I ended up having to call a tow truck.
!@#%&...!
Well, 2 hours later, our plans were pretty much squished, leaving us carless, with an empty house (

) due to the rest of my family waiting for me at our place at the beach. *Sighh*... so here I sit, waiting for them to fix the cruiser, with the only transportation option left being Mom's good ol' minivan. If my car's not ready by tomorrow, I might just drive the van down.
Thus, I'm left with some time on my hands.
minister22, I haven't gone at the end of April, but hopefully someone has with an AP. I don't think the AP rates are out yet, but if you reserve at regular rate you could try calling them back when the AP rates come out for next spring. I think that information gets posted here on the DIS resorts board. We did stay at the Caribbean Beach during F&G season '95 at Epcot, and we got
AAA discount availability for...I believe 10% off.
JKeats, Cool! Yup, you won't have a construction view if you go for WV. Late August? Hrm. I think that's considered high season, but if you ask if they have an upgrade at check-in they might be able to set you up with either a Junior Suite...or...on the other end, a Concierge Garden View.
My advice: stick with the Water View. If you get any other kind of view, even if it's Concierge, you'll be closer to the construction.
Thanks, you guys, and if all goes well the next update of this thread will be on July 31, 2001.
