Howyadoin,
GailT, wellll, if you get a Standard View room, most likely you will not have any view of the lake, only lawns, trees, parking lots, or the roof of the convention center. The water view rooms are exactly the same, except that they have a direct or sideways view (i.e. you might have to crane your neck a little) of the lake. Check the floor plans for details, but it all depends on your preference, I guess.
*Fantasia*, Umm...I think there's a playground, and if there isn't one per se, the kids' areas of Stormalong Bay are enough of a playground for your kids. I...believe...flotation rentals are free. You could inquire at the front desk when you get there.
mark, ALL of the suites include concierge access. At that price, would you justify not getting concierge?
borelsw, Hrm. I think they will assign your room as soon as you check in, no earlier. There could be a tiny chance that they would assign your room before you check in, but their new policy states that usually, they have to assign rooms during the check in process. Room assignment now blocks groups of rooms to be assigned to various incoming reservatios. The letter might help.
thurn, Awesome, awesome awesome. Did you take any pics of your suite to put up online? Eventually I want to have pics of every guest room type up on here.
4 Princess Morganne, A murphy bed pulls down from the wall, like you might have seen in Japanese movies or something. The maid retracts the bed up into the wall when she comes in to clean. You just pull it down when you're ready to sleep. This opens up extra space in the room for whatever you want. For 2 adults and a 4 year old, definitely go for the King-bed-and-a-daybed option. Request this when you make reservations (if you haven't already), and again at check in.
Thanks guys, and don't forget, your replies are what make this thread deserve 5 stars!!!!
