:goodvibes CONGRATULATIONS!!! :goodvibes

hOPE EVERONE had a great Thanksgiving!!! I was able to spend the week well Mon -Fri at home with my boys!! That is a big thing as I haven't been strong enough to stay home by myself for over a month. They were excited and so was I! I made it the whole week busy as it was. Drove to Houston area for Thanksgiving and then Fri took the kiddos ice skating . Well my sister took us!! I shared some video clips my sister took of Braeton skating on facebook. Soooo sweet and made this Momma almost cry. When I think of his journey to get to this point it is unbelievable. Strong will can be a good thing when it's put to use as Braeton has put his.... Most of the time!!!

i watched and cried!!! :goodvibes I am super emotional lately ;)

Sorry, I've been absent lately. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Our latest:

- I've been busily researching all about Disney Cruises and finally booked a 3-night cruise to the Bahamas for Jan 2013:cool1:
- Jerry got diagnosed with Lyme Disease. At least now we know why he hasn't been feeling good for the last 2 months...doctors think we caught it early enough so it doesn't have any long-term effects.
- My hard drive crashed so I'm borrowing an old, slow computer and get frustrated with everything taking so long
- We had a great time in PA for Thanksgiving
- I'm still trying to get over my cold...had it since Nov 1st...finally went away right before T-day but I guess I picked up something again in PA since we were out each night. My mom just got diagnosed with pneumonia so I'm hoping I don't have that (not even sure if that is contagious or not...)

If you can recap what's going on with everyone, I'd love to know ... I feel like it's been forever since I chatted with any of you. Miss ya!:grouphug:

Poor Alex and you...hope those molars are in all way soon

Can't wait to see your portraitsl. I am sure they will look great :thumbsup2

Fringe :goodvibes

I love it. Super Cute

We had Mickey one for awhile, but got tired of it
'
'

It was clunky and always hanging off

Now we have a star that lights up :goodvibes

Thanks Kelly. It's getting a little better with the help of my friend Tylenol

Thanks! Yeah that's how the Tinkerbell one we have now is. And she doesn't light up at all anymore. Blah.

Hi Marsha!! I haven't been on a whole lot either so I'm probably not the best person to update you.

Yay for a Disney cruise!!!
Sorry to hear about Jerry but that's great that it's been caught early enough!
Glad you had a good time over thanksgiving
Bummer on the pneumonia and cold and all that. Ugh :(

Marsha...I'm so sorry about Jerry, ugh! But what is better than a cruise to cure him! ;)

I am not going to be the best to update you because.... I have preggo brain!!!! After 3 years, our last treatment was a success! I know we're not out of the woods yet, but the 2nd blood draw looked great yesterday, and this Friday I am going to get my first ultrasound! It is early, so we are just hoping to see the sac(s)

YEs, it's a Disney cruise so we can use our points to save some money. We are just paying for Elizabeth and using points for the rest of us. The points we save for Elie will go towards a room for 3 nights prior to the cruise. It was cheaper to do it this way than to pay for those 3 nights in a 1br.

Very excited!!

Now we just need to get Elizabeth potty-trained before Jan 2013!!:rotfl2: I'm hoping she'll be ready in teh next few months. She goes on the potty and tells us ... but just not consistently ... but it's a great start!

THANK YOU for the recap!

Did you post pics from your trip to Disney on DIS or just on FB? Did you do aTR? If so,I'd love to read.

I'm still debating whether to do one for JAnu 2012...we keep changing our plan so I want to wait until it's more firm...latest plan is to skip Legoland. It looks really cool on-line but I'm afraid it's going to be chaotic like you experienced and then I will have wished I sdidn't waste the money.

I guess if we go, we'll just take very low expectations, so anything has to be better:rotfl:

what hotel you staying at befoer the cruise?

That is great she is showing interest now in potty training. I am sure she will be done by 2013

I just posted pics on FB and that was an ordeal itself

so sorry, no trip report. If you have any questions, be glad to answer them here

If you do Legoland, like you said, go in with LOW expectations. If you can laugh about it, like how NON disney it is, while you are there, then you will be fine

Excellent recap Kelly!!

Hi Marsha!!

How exciting for you! I hope Elizabeth is a good potty trainer. Wow I am glad they managed to find the lyme disease with Jerry. That is completely scary.

I did finally get what I wanted with Kody. She is going to an online high school. They are providing a computer and a printer for her. It is a great situation for her. It is a publicly funded school so it isn't killing us financially. She is so much more back to the old Kody, and not so stressed out. Thank the Lord.

We only have enough points leftover to go to either Old Key West or Animal Kingdom in a value or standard room. We go to OKW for our first time in Jan 2012 so we'll see if we like it. I heard the rooms are H_U_G_E, so that would be good for us to spread out. We love AKV, but of course won't be able to get the savannah room. I can't make my ressies until Feb 2012 (11 months for home resort) or June for 7months at any resort.

Part of our problem with potty training is that I haven't committed to it either. It seems like we are always running late to take Rachel to school or pick her up or take Elie to her gym class or running errands, etc, so I'm not leaving enough time to get her on the potty beforehand.

Based on your very poor review of Legoland, I went out to yelp and trip advisor to see what others are saying, now that Legoland had a chance to be open for 2 months ... well, the reviews are AWFUL! Everyone complaining about long line, short rides, chaos, not enough queues to enter park or get tickets, single bathroom stalls in restaurants and the most at 5 in the park, etc. Also, many parents are saying that they could not fit in the rides and they are not overly heavy or tall.

Well, you know Jerry is 6'6" and I am 6' so if shorter people can't ride, then we certainly won't be able to either.

Like you, everyone seems to be saying to save your money and do Disney, SW or Universal.

So Jerry and I just talked about it and although we may go and find it uncrowded and the girls are probably the perfect age to go ... we'll spend our $$ on something that the whole family can enjoy.

I think the girls are too young to enjoy Universal. So if Sea World comes out with a really cheap ticket (like BOGO), then we'll go there. If not, then we'll save our money and just do Disney since we'll have AP anyway. We know we'll all love Disney and it'll be cheaper -- no parking fee, no extra tickets to purchase and we can always go back to our room for food and that all important nap.

Thanks for your honest review. It really helped me look at more than just the *official* Lego reviews. If so many people are having problems, it is definitely more than just an isolated incident.

Yay for you!! I'm glad Kody is back to her old self again. The most important thing is that she is learning. Not everyone can learn in the same environment.

Yeah, the Lyme Disease thing is/was scary. I know Jerry can be moody (always has tended to be that way a bit) but he was just being such a grump and "too tired" to help out like he used to. I admit I was getting a bit ticked off ... thought he was just being lazy. I'm glad in one way to know he wasn't doing this on purpose but it truly was affecting him both physically and neurologically.

Sure, I always have questions!:thumbsup2

So would you do the pirate room again? Was it worth it?

Did you do any hard ticket event like the Christmas party? Was it good?

How were the crowds and weather? Was swimming too cold?

If I remember, you went the first week of November? It should have been really good weather and crowd wise.

What CS and TS restaurants did you try and anything stand out?

Thanks Chele

Well, if this continues to improve for Kody I am thinking about doing the same thing with Loren. We shall see.

Lyme disease is a nasty disease for sure. I would have been getting pretty ticked myself, but it is understandable.

Hear old Key west is nice, sure you will like that

Yeah, with potty training...You need to take like 2 to 3 days....and go nowhere

other then run Rachel to school or put her on bus, forget which she does

my friend just did that and her daughter is done :)

Glad I could be of help

Maybe in another year, we will try lego land, we shall see :goodvibes

Me and Trent..Yes!!!!

Steve...No way. He has bad back and mattress were awful. They were box spring and then a pillowtop mattress on top. So if you or Jerry have back issues, stay away

No, we skipped Chritmas party because of shelling out big bucks for LegoLand. We have done Christmas party in past, honestly not a fan. Sure it is pretty, but parade is nothing special in my opinion and i can see it snow at Hollywood Studios. Now Halloween party, that is while other story. If you have never done it, you have to!!!!!!! Best parade ever

We went tues to tues, 8 to 15. Only crowded days were Fri and sat, because end of Food and Wine Festival and Vet weekend. The weather was gorgeous. Trent and I went swimming twice. We were not sweating, no humidity which was nice. We did have one cold day, which was just a fluke, like 58. But rest was in the 80s

We did Kona again. While I like the breakfast, I felt rushed. If waiter came out and asked me one more time, if we needed something and kept taking things off our table. I was going scream. I like to linger. I dont mean an hr. But give me 15 mins after I eat, to digest at least....:headache:

We did 50s Prime Time again. Got great waiter. Lot of fun!!!

Counter services....we didnt really do any other than one at resort, which was cool for Trent, as they put hte kids meal in a sand bucket with shovel each time.

We did do Pinochio Haus, which was good, but nothing special

One day, steve went and met up with his brother who works down there and had dinner outside of park. So, Trent and I went to Beaches and Cream. WE got there about 3:45 and it was dead!!!!! Best burger and ice cream and awesome services :goodvibes

Most people I have seen talk about Beaches and Cream have seemed to really like it.

It is basic good american fare and awesome sundaes

If you like simple food, it is place to go

Which is why trent and I love it :lovestruc

Sorry to hear Steve did not enjoy it. Since I had my back problem a few years ago, I'm always wondering how the beds are. Now I need a good stiff bed to sleep well.

The Halloween parade is soooo on my list. I thought we would go next year or the next but now we planned January dates since they are cheaper. However, we are switching to AP, so I may have to try to sneak in a short weekend and just do the halloween party...

I love Kona..sorry to hear you were rushed. Great that you had a cool waiter at Prime Time .. that makes all the difference in your meal.

I need to try Beaches and Cream...haven't gone yet...heard it's always crowded...maybe after shopping at DTD and getting in after lunch, before dinner like you did is the key!

hi ladies :) Been a good week here. We got our live Christmas tree last night and now my house smells wonderful! We got our family/Holiday/Alex's one year pics done tonight. Alex wasn't really into it so we didn't get a whole lot of smiles but they turned out decent I guess. I posted them on FB if y'all want to see. This time of year is just so very busy. It's hard to get on here a lot.
