We only have enough points leftover to go to either Old Key West or Animal Kingdom in a value or standard room. We go to OKW for our first time in Jan 2012 so we'll see if we like it. I heard the rooms are H_U_G_E, so that would be good for us to spread out. We love AKV, but of course won't be able to get the savannah room. I can't make my ressies until Feb 2012 (11 months for home resort) or June for 7months at any resort.
Part of our problem with potty training is that I haven't committed to it either. It seems like we are always running late to take Rachel to school or pick her up or take Elie to her gym class or running errands, etc, so I'm not leaving enough time to get her on the potty beforehand.
Based on your very poor review of
Legoland, I went out to yelp and trip advisor to see what others are saying, now that Legoland had a chance to be open for 2 months ... well, the reviews are AWFUL! Everyone complaining about long line, short rides, chaos, not enough queues to enter park or get tickets, single bathroom stalls in restaurants and the most at 5 in the park, etc. Also, many parents are saying that they could not fit in the rides and they are not overly heavy or tall.
Well, you know Jerry is 6'6" and I am 6' so if shorter people can't ride, then we certainly won't be able to either.
Like you, everyone seems to be saying to save your money and do Disney, SW or Universal.
So Jerry and I just talked about it and although we may go and find it uncrowded and the girls are probably the perfect age to go ... we'll spend our $$ on something that the whole family can enjoy.
I think the girls are too young to enjoy Universal. So if Sea World comes out with a really cheap ticket (like BOGO), then we'll go there. If not, then we'll save our money and just do Disney since we'll have AP anyway. We know we'll all love Disney and it'll be cheaper -- no parking fee, no extra tickets to purchase and we can always go back to our room for food and that all important nap.
Thanks for your honest review. It really helped me look at more than just the *official*
Lego reviews. If so many people are having problems, it is definitely more than just an isolated incident.
Yay for you!! I'm glad Kody is back to her old self again. The most important thing is that she is learning. Not everyone can learn in the same environment.
Yeah, the Lyme Disease thing is/was scary. I know Jerry can be moody (always has tended to be that way a bit) but he was just being such a grump and "too tired" to help out like he used to. I admit I was getting a bit ticked off ... thought he was just being lazy. I'm glad in one way to know he wasn't doing this on purpose but it truly was affecting him both physically and neurologically.
