Thank goodness they didnt show Audrey too much last night, just had her tied up in the warehouse. I still cant believe Jack wants to sacrifice himself for her, his sister in law is alot cuter!! I think powers booth is great as the vice president, you never know what evil thing he will do next, especially now that the president is out of commission.

I have thus far enjoyed the VP. But when he was standing there with his resignation, I knew the President would collapse/die and the VP would put the letter in his breast pocket.

I hate it when I see things coming.

Just when I was starting to like Wayne Palmer, too.

I actually have really disliked the VP this entire season and I'm really worried about Prez Palmer. Those Palmer boys do not have good luck when it comes to surviving presidency, huh?

I've had just about enough of 24 this season.

I hated this episode and hated the way they wrapped up the nuke drama.

i'm so not digging this season!! i don't know if it's bc it's the first one i've watched in real 24 time?? the rest i saw on dvd one episode after another. i don't know. is it just that bad?? anyone else feel the same? i think next season i'll dvr the whole season and watch it over one weekend. maybe that will recapture it for me!

I happened to watch an old movie with Powers Boothe this weekend, Red Dawn. It had plenty of eye candy what with Patrick Swayze in the lead role. But, if you like how Boothe looks now, you should have sen him in his younger days.

Someone needs to tell the folks at Fox that 24 is about Jack vs. Bad Guys. Other people exist only to give Jack people to save and things to do. We don't care about Bill and his wife and their problems, etc.

I so agree that this season is terrible. Since Dancing with the stars last 1/2 hr is against 24, I finish watching DWTS and then switch over to 24. Most nights I fall asleep and don't even seen the end of 24. I remember this as one show I would never fall asleep watching. So sad to see such a good show go down the tubes.

Yes, "Just Jack" will do just fine.

I will say that when Jack was off meeting the Chinese on last nights show, he started to look a little like himself again toting that man-bag.

I'm not caring for this season either. It appears disjointed and mostly pieced together...as if the writers couldn't get an entire story line plotted out to take up the 24 hours. And I'm certainly not liking the high school crowd that is running CTU. Way too young looking and therefore, not believable.

This is my third season watching. I have to ask...why do people dislike the Audrey character so much?

Too whiny! There have been some really strong female characters on this show. She wasn't one of them. And when I say "she", I mean her character not the actress. I liked her performance on The Nine.

Couldn't agree more with the youth factor at CTU. It wouldn't surprise me to see a new agent in diapers.

I can only speak for myself here, but I don't think she's good enough for Jack. She's pretty enough, but there's nothing there. Vapid. Boring. And just a hint too whiny. I can see why she'd love Jack (who wouldn't?!), but I cannot for the life of me see why he loves her.

Jack was already in love with her when we first saw her, though. So, what can we do?

Hopefully she'll get killed. Maybe by Chloe's ex...I still think he could be a bad guy. Or that arab girl from CTU, I forget her name. Doesn't matter much to me, I'd just like to see her dead. And I'd like to have her dad come back. Really liked him a lot. He and Jack could buck the system to go get revenge on the guy who killed Audrey and save millions of US citizens while taking down another evil President in the process.

Wayne Palmer could show up at the end to help them and it would be the last thing he did before dying. Just before he dies he looks off at nothing and calls out a greeting, "David!" Then, plonk, he dies. That'd be good.

The show has lost it's edge.

The story is so convoluted that I don't know which stereotypical bad guy (Arabs, Chinese, Russians) I'm supposed to hate. Next thing will be Lex Luther showing up with a kryptonite cell phone. That'll bring Jack to his knees and put this miserable season out of it's misery.

Which isn't all that far from the truth. I read in the paper the other day that they've discovered a new mineral that has the same properties as Kryptonite. Jack's days are now numbered (numbered... 24.... get it??!?! ).

Am I the only one that thinks there is a reason that there hasn't been a lot of Jack lately, and that's because they are going to kill him off at the end of the season? I certainly hope not, because if they do, I will never watch the show again, but I can't help think they are grooming Ricky Schroeder to take over. I know Kiefer has recently signed a multi-year contract, but maybe that was just to produce/direct, and not necessarily to star. Just a thought, and like I said, I WILL NOT watch a Jack-less 24. There is really no point.

I read a quote from the exec. producer in yesterday's USA Weekend that "The season finale will be explosive, literally, as we are going out with a very big bang, action- and suspense-wise." It also said the finale will be "...unlike anything 24 has shot before..." and that "...the reveal will be worth the wait."

Sorry this is O/T but in Red Dawn I was madly in love with William Smith (Falconetti from Rich Man Poor Man) I like Powers Boothe as the evil vice prez too! I have noticed Jack only shows up to torture people, he isn't in the show as much as he used to be. There aren't as many people on this show that you really care about, I used to love Edgar, and David Palmer. The only ones I like now besides Jack are Chloe and Bill Buchanan.
