I just wanted to say thank you to Caskbill Planner and all the helpful skillful members on this forum! I called MS at the 407 number this morning at 9:04am and got my day to day booking started!!! I had a 3 minutes wait. It took me by surprise! It was so easy! And yes, I got the Grand Villa for my whole family! The CM, Ann Marie was very polite and so helpful. Now to just call everyday to add the days. Which makes me wonder, what if you miss a day or call later in the day? I am having wisdom teeth out on Friday but I am having DH make that call. Believe me I am not going to miss making those calls each day! Truely, thank you so much! I would not know what to do if it had not been for this website and DVC forum!

Everything is based upon availability. The whole purpose behind calling day-by-day is to get the room booked BEFORE someone else. Your reservation window opens at 9am, 11 months out. The longer you wait to call, the more opportunity someone else has to call and book your date.

LOL, cinderminnie! That's a nightmare lots of us have this time of year. But don't worry - I'm sure everything will turn out just fine. Once when I didn't remember to call until late afternoon, I still got my coveted standard view. CM said it was the last one, though. WHeww!

Anyway, you can always waitlist a day if you have to - there's lots of time for things to work out. Glad you got off to such a good start. Congrats!

P.S. You are lucky to have a DH who will call if you can't. Mine is useless as far as calling goes - he just doesn't get it, but I still love him anyway.

Called for my second day adding to reservation and guess what?????? NO HOLDING to get a CM! I even called at 9:15. Absolutely no problems getting the GV again. Best news is that my surgery is not til 10:30am so I will have time to call at 9am to make my add on day#3! Hurray!
Where are on go on this forum to see what other family gatherings experiences at Christmas time?
