Ok.....SO if We decided to use our points and go to Hong Kong how long should we go for? I mean is it Large, will it take several days to visit and the all important question when should we go? When would the weather be the best to go? To those that may have been is it worth the points and time to even go.Thanks for all the help in advance...popcorn::

I was thinking the same thing. I am planning my mother/daughter trip frip 2010 (2009 is already booked on the DCL). When is a good time to go and for how long?

HKDL is very small, relatively speaking. You can definitely do it in one day. Weather wise, any time other than summer would be fine. Summer is typhoon season and very hot and humid. Other than that, even in the winter it isn't that cold. Avoid Chinese New Year too, it will be very busy every where. There is lots of great things to do in Hong Kong (not Disney related) and it is very, very easy to get around by public transit.

Definitely avoid chinese NY... it's like WDW christmas/NY crowd.
We went there during christmas day last year and the crowd was busy but definitely not as crowd as I expected.
That being said, just a couple things to keep in mind:
1. The place is tiny, not very many attractions in the park yet. I was quite surprised - 1 off peak day would be more then enough to go through the whole park (IMO of course).
2. The people have their own version of politeness. If for some reason you thought DLRP people were rude the DLHK people will surprise you even more.
Again that is my personal experience.

I don't know if you have been to DLP or not but we LOVED DLP. The theming we thought was wonderful. Detail wise we think it is the closest park to DL california compared to the other 2 disney resorts (we haven't been to Japan yet, so we can't compare :) )

So if you had a choice btw DLHK or DLP I would pick DLP in a heartbeat.
We like it so much we want to go back there as soon as we scrape up enough $ (which could mean 6-10 years... :rotfl: ).

Anyways, that's just my humble opinion... :)

ITA. Hong Kong is fantastic...OP: if you go, be sure to allow several days to see the real place. Do *not* spend the entire time in the grip of Disney.

Sounds like 1 day should do it I thought bout 1 day outside DWHK, upon arriving, in a nice hotel then couple days in Park and 2-3 days to see Hong Kong I dunno what do you think then 5-6 days?

However have also considered DLP too.....OH BOY...now i'm conflicted lol :headache:

We were in HK last November for 4 days. We spent around 5 hours not including travel at the park. We are glad we went but it is VERY small and would not go back.

I would suggust 5-6 days for HK itself (if you include a day a Disney). We were very rushed and felt we needed more time.

Have fun! It's a GREAT city!
